Casa de Leda is the newest addition to Kali Hotels. Its luxurious and relaxing spa complements each room's unique and grand style. First owned by a wealthy family of Santa Marta's golden age, the original house where Casa de Leda sits dates back to the late 19th century. While most of that house no longer stands, we salvaged its original fluted columns, facade, and floor tiling. In this remodeling, as with Casa de Isabella, we consistently chose classical style, maintaining the building's original integrity whenever possible. With Casa de Leda, we proudly present a full service boutique hotel and spa. Spacious rooms under vaulted ceilings give way to open bathrooms with plenty of natural light. The open terrace, flanked by cascades of green vines and equipped with a cooling mist system, overlooks the Santa Marta Cathedral. Each room includes an aromatherapy kit, and some have in-room hot tubs. Flat screen TVs in every room have media players with music stations and video libraries. We also provide free WiFi, international calling, and breakfast cooked-to-order.

We booked a suite and we were not disappointed. Fantastic bathroom and a lovely private balcony. This hotel is in a very central location without a ton of street noise. Breakfast was excellent. The front desk staff speak very good English. 2 small pools, perfect for a dip and lounges to lay in the shade. I highly recommend staying here.

Casa de Leda is a beautiful, friendly and centrally located hotel in Santa Marta.
I stayed at this amazing hotel with its beautiful decor, extra large rooms, friendly helpful staff and great location for 3 nights 18 to 21 March during the lockdown period in Santa Marta.
I booked a beautiful superior room which I stayed in for the first night. I received an upgrade for the following 2 nights to one of the spectacular suites which had a jacuzzi, an extra large bathroom and a private terrace with a view of the Santa Marta Cathedral. The hotel has 2 pools which were small but perfect for what I needed. A quick dip and a relax in a sun lounge. All the beaches had been closed at this stage so it was great to be able to take advantage of the hotel pools.
I must give special thanks to the guys on the front desk though. They were all amazing! They spoke excellent English, were friendly, kind and couldn’t have been more helpful during my stay. These were trying times for me not knowing if I was going to be able to get home or not. They spent a lot of time following up on flight details etc for me. I was very worried that I was not going to be able to get out of the country because of the National lockdown.. Without their help who knows what I would have done as I speak very little Spanish.
If however I had been unable to leave the country Hotel Casa de Leda would have been my number one choice of places to stay. This hotel was perfect in every way!

My wife and I stayed at Casa de Leda for 4 nights after completing the grueling Ciudad Perdida trek. It was truly a peaceful oasis in an otherwise bustling Santa Marta (although you can never truly escape the constant honking). The staff was very friendly and spoke English. We stayed at the top floor suite, which was spacious and clean, had luxurious bathroom, comfortable bed, and a private balcony. The included breakfast was delicious and served on the 2nd story garden patio.
The hotel is located very close to restaurants and shops as well as a number of tour companies. This makes it an idea location to explore Santa Marta as well as a base for day trips to Minca, Tayrona Park, etc.

We booked one suite for five nights. We stayed in suite nr. 9, facing the cathedral, on the highest floor. Rooms are distributed on two levels around an internal courtyard, connected by suspended iron hallways. Fortunately we had help to carry our heavy luggage up to the second floor. The overall hotel architecture is quite nice. The property, although quite compact, features a covered scenic pool in the lobby and an additional small one located on the rooftop, both well frequented. Location is very good, just a few minutes away from the ocean’s shore and surrounded by many restaurants. The suite itself was rather large, although much taller than wide, simply furnished, with a very small wardrobe closet and a large - but unfortunately quite creaking - bed. Staff, particularly Jorge, did their best to be helpful to us on various matters. Unfortunately the hotel doesn’t provide any laundry service. There are laundries scattered around in S. Marta, but if you are on a tight schedule you’ll be on your own. The hotel serves a simple breakfast starting from 07:00. No option and no service even exists before that. As we had twice a tour with pickup time 06:00 we had to elaborate a plan B on our own. Fortunately there is a shopping mall (Exito) a few block away, on Carrera 5 / Calle 19. Furthermore, WIFI in the room was rather patchy. Although staff tried to help us with this, the only real solution was to repeatedly stay in the lobby to perform sensitive tasks which required stable connections (such as credit card checks or bookings). Finally, soundproofing was definitively a serious issue. The location is very busy till late at night with restaurants, lounges, people and traffic and sounds could enter the room as if windows were open. The cathedral itself features external loudspeakers to follow the mass… and this was the holy week, notoriously a very busy time for everybody in Colombia. All in all an instructing experience, but for another time we would rather look elsewhere.

The hotel is situated near restaurants and night life, as you walk in it seems cozy and the rooms are very nice. Recepcionist is like talking to Mr Fawlty those who don't understand that was a tv show in the UK back in 80's. The receptionist dose not like to be bothered and anything you complain about is like little britain "Computer says no" another tv show from the UK.

After all said and done hotel would be great if they were just a little bit bothered about their guests.

I chose the top floor view and comforts at Casa de Leda, after returning from the four day backpacking trek to the Lost city, which I enjoyed and appreciated the cardiovascular exercise. Casa de Leda staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They also serve an excellent breakfast with a view of the Cathedral.
La Canoa restaurant and Expotur is down the block. Parque de Los Novios is a walking distance, popular with locals and tourist surrounded by bars and restaurants. Ouzo is one of the very popular restaurants at the park.

They couldn't get the door to work. They also couldn't get the safe to work. They wouldn't give me a different Room. So I'm stuck in the Room for 2 hours waiting for the door to be fixed because I can't leave my stuff here in an unlocked Room.

Jorge and his colleagues were fantastic! We spent four nights at the Casa de Leda last week. The rooms were very clean and the location was great - close to old Santa Marta and located right in all the action. The small roof top pool was very relaxing. The breakfast was also very good in the upstairs restuarant!
What stood out for us the customer service. Jorge and his colleagues were fantastic! Our spanish is not the best and they helped us with everything including a telephone problem and suggestions for excursions! I would highly recommend this hotel if you are planning a stay in Santa Marta!

Verry, verry, cleaned. it has not change, I was here six years ago. They were just building the next door were you see the big tree.
ll the staffed were freindly and very helpful. The rooms have a zen vive. Loved the breakfast. There were four dish you could pick from the brefast menu. All delicioso! Especial when breakfast is made to order. Just remember when you are choosing this hotel its in the middle of the city and still quite. A course once in while you would heir the church bell chime. I personaly loved hearing the bell chimes. If looking for beach scenary this hotel is not for you. But if looking to see smalll restaurant and shop like you see in europe. This is your place. You still closed to the beach. This is my seconf time and love it.
