We were booking in here as a group travelling Colombia, as a three star hotel you don't expect much, but the no water pressure on the third floor? it took half an hour to fill a glass, the shower had no shower head, just the pipe out of the wall. Water was presumed to come at some point. We took a late night shower out at the swimming pool outdoor shower, It worked. Rooms were comfortable and large. The Aircon worked well, only one key per room, if your room mate came in and passed out, I had to raise reception to come and let me in. Some parts of the Dinning area looked like it hadn't been use for many months, dirty dusty furniture.

There is a very scary entry in Trip Advisor about this hotel. When I realized we where staying at the same hotel of the scary entry me and my girlfriend wanted to get to an other place. We could not because every thing was full. Then we spend the first day at the hotel and it was like this guy had been in an other place. Seriously we had an incredible time there, nobody try to open our door the contrary every body was really helpful and friendly including Leo the gorgeous manager. Yes the Hotel is not a 5 stars but is a very nice place and you get lots for your money. I recommend this place to any body that want to spend a good time in Santa Marta and Enjoy the incredible Sierra Nevada and Parques surrounding this town.
We ended staying 7 days incredible days in this Hotel coming in and out while visiting the region.
I really ask the people to write helpful things not to be nasty when there is not reason. You see We almost get away form this very nice location and perfect point for visiting the region

I was there before and this time they give me a room that they just fix and it was better that I was expecting. The room has brand new everything and it have a lot of space.

I went back to the hotel because I have a great experience before, they haven't change the lobby area but for my personal opinion is more important the room which it was very clean.

And also you have a lot of options for eating, drinking and entertainment just steps away.

The room was OK, but the breakfast is terrible. If you don't take eggs and bread, than it is impossible to serve you only bread. There is alsof no fruit.
We went directly to a nearby supermarket to buy some fruit, jam and jughourt.

Do not stay at this hotel - it is ready for demolition. The Park Hotel is totaly unloved (particularly by it's staff), run down, cold water, abandoned in certain parts.... I could go on. They are numerous nice, new hostels in the area which are far superior. We had to pay extra for a very poor breakfast - the fact they have only 3 breakfast tables for such a large hotel tells you all you need to know!

It has a great view of the sea, specially at sunset. The hotel is old but the rooms are acceptable. It has a nice swimming pool. The relation price-service is very good.

The Park Hotel is located just across the street from the beach and close to Central evening life. Staff is friendly and helpful-- specially, Luis who works as a busboy/ bell hop. I reccomend room 109. Hotel has long heritage; good breakfast and small pool.

Beware of staff I heard knocking at my door at 11pm. Scary very run down and overpriced. Stay away. The front desk would not refund our money. A hellhole and creepy. When I asked for the manager , I was ignored

The post about this hotel seeming like a set from a horror film was spot on. We stayed in the annex as well. The place was very run down and the hallways were dark and dim with no interior decoration. While the room was spacious, it was furnished and decorated like a military barrack.

At night someone knocked on our door twice. There were no peep holes, so I was afraid to answer the door, especially since the hotel entrance is not gated. I stayed in Santa Marta three nights at three different places. The other two were cheaper and way nicer. Plus the concierge at the other places were able to recommend some great restaurants. Park hotel staff told me to walk along the beach for restaurants. That is where all the expensive, over priced, mediocre restaurants in Santa Marta are located.
