I stayed at La Riviera hotel in Santa Martha and I just need to say that whether you are short of money or you just want to save it. This hotel is a perfect choice. Nice service, clean, it has air conditioning, acceptable food, close to the Rodadero beach. Well-located and good prices it can summarize my commentary.

I went with my friend and her daughter for a week and everybody was extremely friendly! They treated us very well always asking how we were and how was our day, etc. Miss Consuelo, the waiter lady, was so nice with all the guests always concerned about the food. The rooms are cleaned daily and they have comfortable beds. It has a nice swimming pool and the beach is just 2 blocks away. Definitely will be back there again.

We stayed at this hotel as last resort when our booking.com reservation didn't go through. We thought it was expensive for what it is: no elevator, awful service, no hot water and sometimes no water whatsoever and the breakfast was simply dreadful. We left as soon as we could.

Good food, the staff is very friendly. The service of this hotel is also very good. The beds are good, but a little hard. The shower water is lukewarm. But all in all, the hotel, the beach, the bedroom is large, and the location conformity the price are excellent.

Stayed here January 18th-21st, 2015. The Hotel was in an excellent location only about 2 blocks from Rodadero Beach on a quiet side street. The Staff was extremely friendly and the facility was spotless as was the room. Breakfast was included and served on the patio next to the pool. Although not extravagant it was more than sufficient to start your day.
Rodadero Beach was nice and all along the boardwalk beside the beach were numerous vendors of food and drink of your choice. Also all along the beach front were numerous restaurants for dining. On the beach you could rent a covered shelter from the heat for 20,000COP for the day or $10 US funds. It was well worth the money as the heat was incredible during the day. On the side streets were numerous souvenir shops and if you were not in hurry you could find some real bargains.
We took a taxi into Central Santa Marta which was about a 10 minute drive. The cost was 20,000COP and well worth the trip. There was plenty to see such as the Gold Museum, Cathedrals, Plaza Bolivar and the hacienda where Simon Bolivar lived until his death. From here you can also arrange a day trip to Tayrona National Park.

This hotel was a good choice to save some money, but have good decent service. I can say I enjoyed being at the hote. The people working there were very nice and gave me a warm welcomed. I enjoyed the food they served. I always felt if I was at the restaurant firs, they would serve more ; ) The room they gave me did not have a beautiful view, but I cant complain. Everything was clean, decent cable tv, an alarm clock. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The corridors were a bit dark in my opinion...
In general, I enjoyed being at this hotel. At night, you can go to a restaurant or disco. They all are just 5 minutes far from the hotel. So the location is excellent.

Its a 3 Star Hotel situated at Boca Grande (most tourists stay there). Its very well located (near the center & the sea)
It has 70 rooms in 4 floors & no elevators. We satyed at the 3 rd room so we "only" had to climb 50 stairs to our room.
The service is good, the breakfast is nothing special but it suits a 3 Star Hotel.
The rooms are Ok as they should be at a 3 Star Hotel, the hotel dosen't have hot water so if you go there prepare for a cold shower!
Overall - we found the only available hotel in the city but if we could we would have payed a little more and stayed at a 4 Star Hotel like the Sol Arhuaco (they were all full)

Terrible service. My partner's expensive watch and wedding ring were stolen, no one answers, the food is terrible, the rooms are old, the TV controls don't work, they don't change sheets. A hotel that I do not recommend and I hope I do not have to return to that place. They are dishonest and do not care in the least about the customer. They don't even provide you with a service as minimal as heating a glass of water.
