Location, cleanness, and staff are very good. Near to Metro Station (Wushipu station) and a very big and nice shopping mall, including most of the good brands, local/international food, and even a branch of Walmart. Close to airport and south railway station. The English level of staff is much higher than most hotels, and they are welcome and supportive. The beds are comfortable and acceptable breakfast (even a few non-chinees items but in good taste and quality).

A 10 minute walk from Lucuo metro station at the red and green lines, staff were efficient and nice, getting the job done, and helpful when asked. The hotel is overall very well-maintained with my room being clean, large with a king bed, a reasonably-sized desk, and a huge bathroom with both shower and tub. I couldn't hear my neighbours and the corridor noise didn't seep into my room. An overall very comfortable stay on a redemption and I'll pick this place again the next time I'm in town. The taxi ride to the airport (T3) was only 24 RMB and took 15 minutes in a little traffic at first but smooth 75% of the way.

The location of the Xiamen Sheraton Hotel is extremely convenient, making it an excellent choice for travelers. During check-in, the front desk staff members were professional and friendly, making the process quick and easy. Although the hotel is not newly renovated, the rooms are well-maintained and clean with all facilities in good working order. The Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed is incredibly comfortable, providing a good night's sleep for guests. The hotel provides exceptional treatment for Marriott elite members, making them feel valued and appreciated. The breakfast service is also outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff providing excellent service. Guests can even enjoy freshly made spring rolls, which are delicious and highly recommended. Overall, I highly recommend staying at the Xiamen Sheraton Hotel. First of all, it’s first time that I found a hotel with CrossFit area (outdoor) in fitness room. Wellness place is very well equipped. Swimming pool is quite small but can swim straight. Rooms are strangely organized with big areas for corridors, bedroom can get more space. I don’t know age of this hotel but it missing USB sockets to connect smartphones and tablets. Location is close to airport 20min and consider 30-40 minutes to city center by taxi.

This hotel was opened in 2006 but still in good shape. We booked a junior suite room and got upgraded to the executive suite with a bigger living room. The room was nice but maybe the carpetsand the TVs need to be upgraded It locates on the Xiamen island and not far from metro stations

The Sheraton Xiamen is a nice hotel with some shortcomings. First impression at checkin no efforts to make you feel you are a Platinum member. Only upon asking I got confirmed that they actually know that I am a Platinum meber and that they have given already "an upgrade". In a good hotel things go differently: Upon handing out your passport, "hello Mr.xx, welcome to our hotel. As you are a Platinum member, we are happy to offer you a suite room". Then the GSM comes, introduces himself and gives you his name card. Not like this here. On my room I realized I did not get an upgrade at all. Small room with two beds instead a large double bed. Heavily used furniture. Also there was no welcome gift like some small sweets or a plate with fruits, presents former SPG hotels are providing to their best customers as a sign of appreciation. I went down to complain about the no-upgrade. This time I asked to get as suite room. Only now they actually checked its availability. You need to ask by yourself? Should it be this way? They agreed to upgrade to a junior suite room (2213) on the next day. This room was in a lot better condition. Was unhappy with the air conditioning, switched it off because not needed, but still had a strong cold air flow just above the bed right into my face all the night. The breakfast is not memorable at all. Not many choices and for long stayers it gets boring after some days. Nothing special there. The hotel seems to not be able to provide some different types of bread even. The cornflakes of low quality and zero taste. The bacon is not crispy and has a strange and bad taste, total disappointment. Juices are as cheap as possible, like sugar water with some colour. Come on! This is not Sheraton! Such low quality is absolutely unacceptable for a Sheraton hotel and I never encountered this in any Sheraton in China. The executive lounge with it's "Happy Hour" is even worse. Same bad juices and no service unless you force them to do something. Not even a "hello" or "do you like a coffee?" or similar. Tables could be cleaned and freed up for new guests instead of leaving back all and block them. Generally poor service attitude here too. In a good hotel they learn your name the first time you enter the lounge. Then they call you by your name and lead you to a free table and offer you a drink. They show care. Zero care, zero hospitality here. All in all, this hotel is by far substandard in service and hospitality compared to other former SPG hotels in China. Polite English speaking staff is a good starting point but just not enough for a Sheraton. You need people who make guests feel appreciated, who want to go the extra mile and want to make your stay memorable. Therefore there is major motivation and training needed for the staff. But it seems there is no care at higher levels. If the GM is not having the right service attitude, how can he or she expect staff to be better? All in all, an acceptable place when compared to 3 star hotels but nothing to be proud of. Unpleasant shortcomings…

This hotel is a steal. The price and luxury you receive for the price is incredible. The rooms were so comfortable as were the beds and pillows. The only issue if I do NOT like feather pillows. Should have asked for another type but did not. The breakfast buffet is UNREAL. There is a chinese section and a western selection. It is impossible to eat everything they put out. I have NEVER seen so much breakfast food in my life. If I ever get to go back to Xiamen, it is easy to say where I would stay. The customer service and ability to help was remarkable. I loved this city and the people of this hotel.

My parents and I stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed them. We found their service from picking us up in airport and during our stay was helpful & fabulous. The hotel has hot and cold plunge pool that I didn't know when I booked, so it was a nice surprise. Great for relaxing at the end of the day. There is a nice park closeby with local market on the side. Great experience to wonder.

Well, I was pretty disappointed. Although Sheraton is supposedly a premium brand, I did not come away with that impression. If it weren't for the fact that our company's shuttle-bus stop was fairly close by, I would have changed hotels within the 1st couple of nights. The hotel is a bit run-down and as is typical with older properties in Asia, needs a more thorough cleaning in places than the normal daily routine. And the hallway (18th floor) just plain STANK. For such a massive building, the menu is very restricted in choice. The things which were on offer are at best mediocre. The air conditioning control seemed to have a mind of its own...sometimes I woke up in a light sweat at night, other times it was freezing. If I set it to 23C, it should stay there...not wander up to 27 or down to 20... The house internet wasn't working, so they brought me a modem. Why? Actually I can imagine some reasons... Very few of the staff speak reasonable English. I even got a couple of calls from the desk which I could hardly understand. The in-house Chinese restaurant is just that: Chinese. No English spoken, and when I went in to have a look (and maybe have dinner?), I was surrounded by staff looking at me like I just stepped off a UFO. What might I be doing looking around a restaurant in a hotel in the evening? Hmmmm. Twice in the mornings the coffee machine was just not working. That said the staff are very friendly and gracious and seem to be trying their best. But management needs to be tightened up, and if you're going to play international 5-star hotel, find English-speaking staff. I don't expect the chambermaid to recite Shakespeare, but the people answering the phone (desk, room service) and in the restaurants should have a sold command of international English, full stop. The bartender downstairs was an exception - his English was very good and very understandable. Sorry, but that is how (international) guests communicate with the staff. The hot water was fast and things generally worked, bedsheets were clean, etc. etc., so if you need to stay there, it'll suffice.…

Even though it was a short stay, I still recommend this hotel. The service was excellent. When I leave for dinner, I stood in line on reception desk for a respond for some room problems. One graceful lady without name tag came and asked me if anything need help. I told her and she try hard to memorize them. After I went back, everything in the room was all settled and one hand writing letter was left for greetings! I don’t know who she is, but she should be some important staff who was willing to deal with some tiny problems for customers! And the lounge staffs were also surprised me. I had an ordered meal on breakfast, but I left without too much waiting for office hour. They called to my room and asked to bring them to my room!
