Wonderful experience, definitely one of the most exciting of my life as a demanding Traveler. The hotel is very nice, wild africa style and on the banks of the Chobe 10 min from the park entrance. I booked 2 rooms for me and my wife and for my 2 daughters aged 21 and 23, we were assigned a Villa with 2 beautiful and extremely functional apartments. The treatment received by the Hotel and its staff was nothing short of fantastic! Compared to Reservation we received free upgrades, not requested and offered spontaneously by the Hotel, which made us live 3 dream days: 2 afternoons sailing on the Chobe with a boat just for the 4 of us, with a table laden with various drinks, wines, barbecues and everything we wanted; 1 full day game drive with a jeep and a Guide just for the 4 of us who made us discover the secrets and animals of Chobe Park up close giving us information about their lives and then, at lunchtime, they took us to the banks of the river in a raised and shaded position where they had prepared a sumptuous lunch with very rich barbecue, set up especially for us, with a choice of wines and 5 star restaurant equipment, wonderful! The third upgrade was dinner on the Chobe platform in the Hotel grounds, with a single table for the 4 of us and impeccable service! The park of the Hotel is well-kept and full of life, monkeys, warthogs, Impala, Kudu that run undisturbed; beautiful swimming pool and space for an aperitif with a bonfire that was lit every night. Finally at check out, they did not want us to pay for the extra drinks in terms of wines and aperitifs consumed daily! I expected a lot, but the hotel and its staff exceeded my wildest expectations. If you have to go to the Chobe, every extra dollar you eventually have to spend to stay at the Chobe Marina Lodge is absolutely justified, an unforgettable experience that I highly Recommendation to everyone!

A short drive from the Chobe National Park, this expansive unfenced game lodge offers wonderful views over the Chobe river and fabulous sightings of animals up close. Our comfortable double storey room was very spacious and beautifully decorated in an African style with a veranda and balcony overlooking the Chobe river, with animals grazing on the lawn right in front of us! Our room came with a comfortable king size bed, mosquito nets and mosquito repellent, huge en suite bathroom, air conditioning, hairdryer, complimentary water and television. Activities available were river cruises and 3 hour game drives in the National Park where we saw see elephants in abundance, impala, hippo, wildebeest, kudu, giraffe and lion, not to mention a huge range of different bird life. It was fabulous! We had the same guide Stanley for all our game drives and he was wonderful. We would highly recommend a holiday here

Great hotel and staff. Everyone is extremely nice, room spotless and cleaned everyday and the food was very good. Great game drives and boat cruises. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. Nice pool, this is not a large lap pool but it was probably 17-18 meters long and big enough to swim laps in by swimming at an angle, water was crystal clear and entire pool area and bar are right on the river. Beautiful location on the Chobe River with excellent access to guided game drives and river safaris in Chobe National Park on site. Our game drivers were great, and did their best every day to get us the best wildlife sightings possible!
The Wednesday night dinner down by the waterfront was great. Buffets for many of the other meals had good/broad selections, but were not mind blowing. We did experience very cold and unfriendly behavior from much of the staff, aside from the head chef who asked us at every meal if there was anything he could do to improve our experience, which we appreciated.
Accommodations were beautiful, but we did experience issues with caterpillars falling from the thatched roofing inside our bungalow and crawling down inside the open corners of the mosquito netting and getting into our bed at night, which was not pleasant. I do understand that we're in the jungle on a river though, and bugs are expected to be part of that experience. But after being notified of the issue, the staff presented us with a can of DOOM to spray for bugs ourselves rather than having their staff handle it, which was a bit off-putting.
Overall not a bad experience at Chobe Marina Lodge, but not an outstanding one either. Were we to return to Chobe/Botswana in the future, I think we would probably check out one of the other lodging options in town instead of returning to this location.

The best part of Chobe Marina Lodge was the location, the pool bar, the sunset and the access to the Chobe River.
It is a lodge that caters to tour groups with buffet meals and not very personal service. Traveling as a couple, we felt very welcome at the pool bar and ordered our meals a la carte there.
The hotel has teamed up with a local guide company to provide their activities such as the river cruise, etc. This team seemed fairly disinterested and not very organized. We did have some magnificent sightings on the river thanks to our boat captain and had an opportunity the next morning to go to the four corner border of Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

The room was big but the space was not utilized well. The sleeping area was too small and the sitting room area was too big. The was no counter space in the bathroom. The floor was a floating floor hardwood that felt funny to walk on and not very attractive. There was very little storage space for clothes. The safe in the room was located in a place with very poor lighting to the extent that you had to use the flashlight on your phone to access it. The sliding closet door was of the hinge. The locks for the entry door and outside patio door did not work well. A big concern is that it was not safe to drink the water. You needed bottle water to drink and brush your teeth. All the meals were buffet style and they were not good. The river safari that they provided was a big disappointment. The guide was more interested in talking to his co-workers than helping us see any wildlife. It was basically a 3 hour ride on the river. If you can find another place to stay in Chobe I would recommend going there.

A wonderful African experience. On the banks of the Chobe River in a convenient location, Cobe Marina Lodge offers comfort, a good variety of rooms, good food and friendly service. The service in general from reservation to restaurant supervisors, housekeeping and the manager was magnificent. I was bitten by an insect hence the assistance rendered thereafter was first class although it took a very longtime for me to recover because I am still filling some itchiness of the bite. However, I recommend that family rooms especially children's beds must be provided with mosquito Neats instead of culch because I was bitten by an insect in culch which was supposed to be used by my child hence i resorted to use myself for the fear of my child safety.

Chobe Marina Lodge was the highlight of our African holiday. The grounds were luxurious and breathtaking - a superb blend of rainforest treehouse and resort by the waterfront. Our rooms styled the same flavour, despite needing a little freshen up. The lodge offered services of third parties that took River Cruise Safaris and Jeep safaris. This was the highlight of our trip. The animals on the Chobe River are unbelievable. We will be recommending Chobe Marina Lodge to everyone and we will return.

We stayed in the lodge for 3 nights during an extended journey through Botswana, Simbabwe and Namibia. The place has a very nice setting overlooking the Chobe river. The food in the a la carte Restaurant was excellent. Personnel at the reception did a perfect Job and was very helpful with checking flights etc.
Diner at the buffet was medium, the choice of salads was small and there was little than barbecue as a main course.
The room was very modest for the price. Cleanliness was not satisfying especially in the bathroom. The bar didnt deserve the name! 3 or 4 cocktails und certainly not with the standard Ingredients.
The personnel in general had zero sales approach. Everytime we wanted to spend money, there was a „NO“ or „We dont have“ or endless discussions.
The lodge could be a paradise without that missing hospitality.

Three round pins. If you're in N. America, I found I had to buy them through Amazon and they did not work. I ended up buying them at an electronic store in the first city I arrived in. The Amazon ones were the wrong voltage or something.
Agree with all above answers and would add I don’t think you need to worry too much about booking ahead. They will have plenty of game rides, boat rides and tours available especially because all the lodges work together. A more expensive (and day-long) but worth it trip may also see you can arrange a trip to Livingston Zambia and visit Victoria Falls.
There are more places to choose from in the Kasane area.
