The BEST experience! We could not have had a better time. It was a bit expensive, but so worth it with it with everything being all inclusive. The room was beautiful. Every single staff member went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Sego, Candy, Rawi, and Neo especially went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The food was fantastic. Laki took us on all our game drives & excursions and we had the best time with him. If you’re considering where to stay, this is definitely the place!

My wife, son, two daughters, and a boyfriend stayed at Bakwena for 3 wonderful nights in their farmhouse accommodation that had a huge large family room/kitchen adjacent to 3 bedrooms in a completely secluded part of the resort with its own pool and beautiful outdoor patio area. The welcoming reception to the hotel by Candy and staff was probably the best, efficient, and friendliest we have ever experienced...and we have traveled to almost 50 different countries. The timings for the game drives, activities, meals, etc. are coordinated flawlessly with great care and consideration of their guests. Our guide, Alec, was superb at finding the animals and providing information while also being considerate of both the environment and the natural habitat of the animals. The meals were incredible, drinks plentiful, and the entire staff consistently goes out of their way to take care of your needs. They even provided a private dinner for our party on our last night that yet again surprised us and went way beyond our expectations. Additionally, we were surprised by hand written welcoming notes and Easter treats in our rooms which were just a few of the thoughtful small touches that added to an incredible experience.

Amazing honeymoon experience. Super morning and afternoon safari activities, especially on the boat cruises. Initially luggage did not arrive but they very kindly followed up and picked it up from the airport the next day. Would highly recommend!

Incredible stay here at Bakwena lodge!! The staff were incredibly polite and attentive. The tree house we stayed in was beautifully designed and peaceful! Alec was our safari guide and was very knowledgeable and made both the boat cruise and land safari incredibly fun! Couldn’t recommend this place more!!

I’m not sure I can put into words how amazing Chobe Bakwena lodge is! We have just finished our 5 night stay at the lodge, which is part of our honeymoon trip, and we had the most incredible time. The staff are all so lovely and welcoming. They all make an effort to come and speak to us throughout our stay. Sego taught us a traditional Botswana board game that we enjoyed and Esther played cards with us on our final night. The staff are so accommodating and every single one of them are incredibly friendly. The food is honestly incredible. We’d read another review saying it was the best they’d had in their 3 week trip so we had high expectations but it exceeded that! Be prepared to be fed very well! The lodge offer a continental and cooked breakfast. Lunch is then a main dish served with a variety of salads which are also amazing and so tasty. Afternoon tea is served around 3.00pm where all the cakes and pastries are homemade and then dinner is 3 courses. We have never had such consistently good and tasty food anywhere else! Trust me - you will not go hungry. The lodge and room itself is lovely. You really get the eco lodge feeling and it’s great to listen to the birds and other animals. We stayed in the honeymoon chalet which is tucked away, furthest from the main lodge. It had beautiful views overlooking the river with an outside area and an outside shower. Showering outside with the geckos and sounds of the animals was incredible and a lovely addition to the lodge. Our room was clean and the staff put the mosquito net down for us each evening. You can do 5 pieces of laundry per person, per day, which was really useful as we’d been away for over a week already. Our safari guide was Presley and, just like the rest of our stay, he was also incredible. He is a fountain of knowledge and has some amazing stories. We did 2 morning game drives, 2 boat cruise, 2 afternoon drives and a full day. Presley has a brilliant eye and we were amazed with how well he spotted the animals. The 15-20 minute drive to the main park for game drives is nothing and doesn’t impact the stay at all. We saw several animals (including elephants!) whilst on our way to or from the park. We also did a couple of walks into the village which was nice to get some exercise after all the delicious food and to meet the local people, who were all super friendly. We’d have loved to visit the primary school but the schools were shut for the holidays. Overall we had an incredible experience at Chobe Bakwena lodge and we will definitely be returning. We felt like part of the family and actually got a bit emotional when we left!

An excellent game lodge situated about 20 mins drive from the main entrance to Chobe. The accommodation was first class with comfortable beds, plenty of space, nice little touches and air-con (which was a godsend as the thermometer hit 42c !!!). The food was well prepared and served by attentive and friendly staff. The game drives were excellent, and our guide Alec was extremely knowledgeable who was happy to spend time explaining and showing us the small things, like dung beetles and scorpions. He was also a very knowledgeable birder, so he was keen to show us as many birds as possible. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience and would highly recommend a visit.

We stayed in one of the Tree Houses for 2 nights, beautiful accommodation, very well designed. Friendly and accommodating staff, couldn't do enough for you. 5 minutes from the Zimbabwe border and about 10 minutes drive from Chobe National Park. Highly recommend the river cruise.

The lodge is amazing and the was really incredible. The entire staff was warm and welcoming. Our guide Roni was the best. While we did want to see wildlife, I also wanted to see some birds. Roni was able to give us a good mix of both. He is an excellent and knowledgeable guide.
