Together with our new swimmingpool, our self-catering chalets are quipped with airconditioners and our campsites are all equipped with private ablution blocks. Each campsite has a 220V electric point, a cooking area and a private braai area and free wifi is available from our Bar which serves both alcholic drinks and coffee. Entrance to the photographic elephant hide is free to all guests. Guests can take photos at ground level, literally centimetres away from the elephants. Chalets are fully equipped with aircondioners, stoves, microwaves, fridges, crockery, cutlery, glasses, bedlinnen, mosquito nets and much more and free coffee, suger and milk is provided for new arrivals. Senyati is located around a waterhole which is lit throughout the night, 24/7. A small Serengeti. While sipping sundowners at the "bar with the best view in the world" you will be entertained by a constant flow of animals...elephant, giraffe, zebra, of buffalo, warthogs, roan antelope, sable. By campfire or in your bed you will have a lullaby of the cry of the hyena, the bark of the jackal and the roar of lion... Senyati also arranges Victoria Falls transfers, Chobe River cruises, tiger fishing trips, safari drives, airport transfers and much more. The reception area is equipped with a small shop, selling souveniers, fire wood, meat and other daily necessities.

Senyati safari camp is every camper's dream!
It is wild and there are mammals that come to drink the whole day and a bird lovers' paradise. It is also safe, and well located near the town of Kasane, Kasane airport, the border posts to Zimbabwe and Zambia, Victoria Falls, and Chobe park.
It is well maintained and each campsite has its own small building with a bathroom and kitchen with electricity and shade and fire area. There is a small shop that sells wood, snacks and drinks, souvenirs, and even pizzas!
I stayed there for 4 nights and I can't wait to go back. I sat on the deck till late at night watching the elephant herds come and go.
Congratulations to management and staff on a well-run establishment.

It was great to get in touch with nature again, the underground hide make you feel part off the herds of elephants and buffalo's.

Apon arrival we where welcomed by a friendly staff member at the gate. All though not all services was available due to covid 19 it was very comfortable and peaceful. We stayed in Chalet 3 it was nice, clean and the air conditioning very refreshing in the October heat.

Make sure you book and pay in advance. Covid 19 travel permits is compulsory.

Thanks Carmien and staff members for assisting us with all our needs.

Need a 4x4 to get to it really. Allocated camping sites which is nice. It’s quite packed together vs some other campsites we’ve experienced. Had our own ablutions with shower, sink, toilet and a washing up area, and power point. Ablutions were reasonably clean (if you’ve never visited southern Africa before you need to be prepared that cleanliness, even in lodge en-suite bathrooms, is way beneath what you’d expect in Europe/US for the prices you’re paying), quite open to bugs. Minimal amount of shade at our campsite for the truck but the ablution area is quite large and has shade to set up a table and chairs.
We’ve noticed customer service in this part of the world isn’t a thing - so perhaps one has to shrug off the fact that the camp’s staff just weren’t that friendly.
We enjoyed the bar area overlooking the waterhole, and the swimming pool - which was fairly clean. It was lovely to watch the elephants come in to drink.
Day trip to Victoria Falls was very well organised and driver was good. Check the water situation at the Falls before spending all the money on this trip/visas/park fees.

We were a group of 6 people looking forward to spend 2 nights at Senyati that we had pre-booked with booking confirmation and email contact back and forth. When we arrived (late afternoon) the gate was closed and the number we were supposed to call was not available even after 10 tries. However, we managed to enter just to find a place that looked completely run down, no electricity, no guests and dirt everywhere. While trying to find the owner/manager or anyone who worked there, a lady (apparently the manager) stormed out of the house shouting at us, asking what we are doing at her premises. After trying to explain calmly that we booked (which she kept on denying) she left us waiting outside without any apologies whatsoever! She then treated the rest of our group poorly and instructed one of her employees to get our friends of her property as she didn't think we belong together (we were a interracial group of friends). She told us that the bar is closed but we could still stay there. We were never informed upfront that some of the facilities are not available and therefore couldn't prepare (e.g. bringing our own drinks). The toilets looked horrible and none of us felt welcome. After trying to explain that the situation is not ok and her customer service is horrible, she just kept quite and didn't try to make us in any way more comfortable. After discussing the issue with our friends we decided to leave (mind, it was already dark by that time) to find accommodation where we thought our money was well spend and deserved. All in all, I would never ever book with senyati again. If you are white, you might receive an "ok" treatment, however, if you are in anyway objecting racism and bad customer service, do not choose this place!!!!

You breached COVID-19 Regulations by moving in Botswana without an issued permit. We strictly comply with Botswana COVID-19 regulations and laws and you were in breach. We cannot risk our license due to your irresponsible behaviour. You were chancers and we refused you as you acted against the law. You are telling blatant lies as you got yourselves stuck by taking a fat chance. Your booking was not confirmed, you did not pay a deposit and you acted against the rules and regulations of Botswana. Therefore our gate was locked and we did not accommodate you.

This place is fantastic
We stayed in Chalet 2. Not luxury accommodation but everything we needed. The bathroom looked in need of a revamp but turned out to be the best shower we had used during our 3 week road trip!!!
There was ample equipment for self catering. We moved the plug in induction ring outside and cooked under the covered patio near the outdoor sink.
About 50m from our chalet was a waterhole. During the day the geese enjoyed this but towards dusk the ellies came and came. Sometimes just a lone bull but others a small herd with babies. Amazing to watch so close.
Fifi the chef makes great coffee and scrumptious crepes.

Senyati will always be the destination of choice when visiting Kasane, due to the stunning large Campsites with own Ablution and kitchen.
Aswell as the amazing waterhole and location on Hunters road. Guaranteed to see Animals and can do free Gamedrives on Huntersroad.
However the Management and Staff are not approachable and not professional...
The lady in Reception need Client Service training...We wanted to buy 2 eggs to make flapjacks but as per staff: " no, that is not possible"....really Client Services is a ZERO
WiFi only from 17h00 until 21h00, why is that necessary?
Our trip of 16 days Senyati was the most expensive Campsite, with that in mind we thought this Camping experience will be the best but unfortunately due to Management this was not the case.

A very nice camp with very friendly and supportive staff and management. The camp is well maintained and gives the opportunity to get very near to the animals. The day trips from the camp into the Chobe Reserve and on the Chobe River was an experience and well guided by experienced rangers from Senyati. I recommend a visit during your travels in the most beautiful Botswana.

They have a wonderful waterhole where the elephant visit so you get extremely close and personal to elephant, especially in the hide. The cottages are overpriced for what you get, and sharing a cottage for 2 couples not worth it, as the rickety steps are unlikely to be compliant. the management staff are extremely unfriendly which is a pity as their middle management staff were wonderful. Needs a serious revamp, change of attitude and better pricing.

Alistair Mackie, you were with Derek Morillion and Charles Nicolle's group. We remember you too as you were rude! You booked a family chalet which we told you from day 1 that the top beds were not suitable for people older than 12 as there is a mezzanine floor (clearly visible on our photos with a steep staircase) but you insisted that it would be fine. You also had friends booked in campsites. It is called a FAMILY CHALET, sleeps a family of 4. Parents downstairs and two kids on the mezzanine floor. We offered you a bigger chalet with no staircase and suitable for 4 adults with two separate bedrooms, but you wanted the bigger chalet for the price of the small chalet. (TWO AIRCONS FOR THE PRICE OF ONE AIRCON). YOU THEN WENT ON TOSET UP CAMP IN FRONT OF OUR WATERFRONT CHALETS!, even using the facilities of another chalet (which you did not pay for) as a kitchen for your camping vehicles. It is plain bad manners and arrogant to encroach onto another chalet without paying and you even had the arrogance to tell us that in this time of Covid, we should be more accommodating. You were not shy or embarrassed, you were arrogant, self-entitled and most probably chauvinistic we do not tolerate here at Senyati. FURTHERMORE, you parked THREE CAMPING VEHICLES in front of our chalet which we do not allow. It obstructs the movement of animals, the photography and just looks absolutely awful. Senyati is not a squatter camp. Campers cannot squat on our business as they wish. You were allocated a chalet and campsites you paid for. We asked you to move your cars to the side of the chalets but the NEXT NIGHT YOU DID IT AGAIN! I asked you again to take your cars away from the front of the chalets. Yes, I was unfriendly. I am not the management, but I am the owner and I was shocked that after I asked you not to put camp up in front of my chalets the previous day, you went on and did it again when you came back that evening. You had absolutely total disregard for our business. How old are you? This is the kind of thing a child of 16 does. One does not expect this behaviour from adults. So, in short, you should be angry at yourself for your utterly arrogant and rude behaviour and learn a lesson from it. When you are on someone else's business, you behave according to their set of rules and not yours. In Houtbay, you can squat anywhere, but not in Kasane. Next time you come to Botswana, please drive past. There are a great many people who appreciate what we do and how we run our place. The ones like yourself are the ones we do not need here. It is people such as yourself who give South Africans a very bad name in Botswana. Thanks but no thanks.

Another visit and the surprises are endless at Senyati. We stayed at Chalet 3 and because it was lockdown, or semi-lockdown we had a fantastic chalet with the best TV of nature one can dream of. Elephants came and left one after the other and we had a visit of a hyena with 2 babies at the waterhole too! The bar was not open but the kind management did not mind when to took our own drinks. We celebrated the first rains and considered it as our good luck charm for 2021. We loved the place and will be back.

Hi Paddy, all the challets are situated in the frontline close to the waterhole as a buffer between the camp sites and waterhole and the area is unfenced so you're in for an exciting stay! Hope you have the experiance of a lifetime. Regards Marius

The shared ablution is only when we are very busy and when there is a big campsite which can accommodate 14 people open then we put more than one on such site as this site has 3 toilets, 3 showers and 3 braai stands.

Up to three vehicles at one site. There is a toilet and shower, and a braai and kitchen table and sink.
