The booking with booking.com (4 nights) was easy as usual. The place is rather good to find, there is a sign at the main road. Check-in was no problem, the staff is friendly and helpful. The place is in the center of the village, surrounded by a wall, equipped with an electric gate (guests get a key) and they have security at night. My room was small, but clean, with AC, shower and WC. The electric wiring made a makeshift impression, but all-in-all no problem there. Compared to other places in Kasane the price for a stay at this place is very reasonable.

Place is in a bit of a random area and the rooms could do with a bit of fixing up but overall clean, safe and very friendly staff.

The night Watchman Bimbo was especially nice, he walked us to the bus park in the morning to make sure we got on the right one.

Good place to stay if you're in Kasane for a couple of nights. They also organise trips to chobe.

Chiloto is a basic hotel. Comfortable accommodation without any frills. But the prices are comparatively reasonable.

The staff are helpful and it is not far from the Chobe river which is the major attraction in Kasane.

Great place, no doubt. Guesthouse is situated few minutes walk from the centre of Kasane, from Spar and safari agencies but in the middle of the residential area. There is a pool in the hotel, rooms are clean, equipped with air conditions and the fridge, beds are comfortable. Free wi-fi works good. In my opinion the best adventage is its Staff/Owners. So helpful and friendly, always smiling.
No breakfast in the guesthouse but you can go for a short walk to the restaurants.

Chiloto Guest House was our last accomodation on our Botswana-Trip. The guest house is in the centre of the village, surrounded by locals, which might not be pleasant for everyone. We did like this! Of course you have to expect that it's gonna be very loud on Saturday evenings, but hey, This is Africa.

However, certain things have caused us to evaluate this stay negatively. First of all, they only had a booking for one night instead of two. We booked a night on Thursday and one on Saturday (Luckily, I had printed out the confirmations), but they obviously mixed something up and then claimed that they never received the booking from the internet platform I had booked with. Very unlikely! So, they could not offer us a room for our second night. Long story short: At the end we received a room, which was more like a broom closet. It was so small they couldn't even fit in a normal bed, but instead there was a bunk bed in the room. We had to accept it, because it was impossible to get another room on this short notice. The problem with this room also was that the doorbell from the main door was linked to this room (no clue why) and everytime someone was ringing the bell (even in the middle of the night), we woke up. This was kind of annoying. Unfortunately, no one was there when we checked out, so we couldn't give them our feedback.

At check-out, there was only one rather unfriendly woman, who told us that we have to pay a parking fee, because our car was there for 3 days and we had only booked 2 nights (we spent one night in the Chobe National Park). What she didn't know was, that we already paid that parking fee, because someone was knocking to our door late in the evening the night before to collect it. Eventually, she believed us and we could leave. However, this is some other negative point. They don't have a room for us, they put us in a "room", but then this (very small) parking fee is all they care about. They do not care that we paid way too much for a room they didn't give us.

All in all, the normal rooms are not bad. Just the staff and these situations didn't make the stay a positive one.

We arranged with them a taxi to pick up in Victoria Falls but it never came. After waiting for 2 hours, we had to look for a local taxi in Zimbaue, which was more expensive than the quoted one (180 USD for 3 people, one way). Worst thing is that the receptionist did not do anything when we informed him at chek-in: no explanation, no phone call to the taxi driver, no apologies...
Credit card was supposed to be accepted but system did not work. We were told to pay with all the cash that we had and exchange money to pay the balance (with frequent reminders to go out and complete the payment).
Not very friendly staff, dark street and expensive room (52 EUR) for what you get.

The owner Matshwenyego and her friend Tefo were very helpful, the guest house is very close to Kalahari Tours, Coffee Buzz and Old House Restaurant, only walking distance. My room was comfortable with AC which is a must especially after September. Clean, big rooms, great hospitality and reasonable prices for -not backpacker friendly- Botswana.
Recommended.

Thoroughly enjoyed a 3 night stay in their executive suite. The hosts couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating and did make all the arrangements for a game drive, river cruise and even offered to take us to a nearby Jass session they were attending.
Great location, less than a 10 minute walk to the centre of town, and all the main hotels on the river. Fantastic value for the money, would happily return and recommend to all other travellers.

From the time I was picked up at the airport, I knew I had made the right choice. The hosts, Tifo and Chibiya made me feel welcome. The room was very comfortable with great AC and Wifi. They arranged game drives in Chobe park and river cruises on ther Chobe River, as well as a day trip to Victoria Falls. Although they are located within walking distance of town (1km), they offered rides. I was so pleased that I prolonged my stay an extra 4 days.
