We stayed at Longstreet Inn to get a early start on our Death Valley tour. The view from the hotel was simply breath taking. Nice little patio connected to our room.Watched the sun set on the patio with a little pond with some resident ducks and geese. The property is decked out in an old west theme, very nice. Hotel room was clean, large, adequate bed. But, entire place smells of old cigarette smoke, rooms, little casino ,dining area.Ugh. The cafe' was not a good choice, but where are you going. Carpets were in common areas are stained. All in all reasonable place.
Had the pleasure of staying here for 2 days in May 2021 for our wedding anniversary. The lake views are amazing, we booked the king room suite. Enjoyed the pool & sunbathed there a few times on our trip. If you love seeing ducks, geese, swans - this is the place! The casino was fun & won on a slot! The staff are very friendly, they are COVID compliant with mask wearing, and the peace you feel there I want to bottle it up! I live in the city so this will be a return visit for sure! Thanks Longstreet you truly are an ‘oasis in the desert’ 🌄
After a long day of hiking at Death Valley, we checked in. The registration person was friendly and helpful although we had to wait for a while because she was the only one working the casino floor and hotel registration. She upgraded us for free to a king room from a double queen since she had some available. The room was spacious, the shower decent, and food/staff were good at Jack's Cafe. The gambling was not fun because to cash out on machines you have to wait for a cashier to come to the machine and then sign to get your money. The real problem came when our neighbors woke us up sometime after 10pm. They were so loud it was as if they were in our room with us and we could hear every word they said. They were clearly partying, laughing and swearing - something we didn't appreciate as we tried to sleep but couldn't for the next 20 minutes or so. Then they said "time to roll a blunt" and sure enough, as we laid there in the dark, our entire room filled with the smoke smell of weed as it seeped through the adjoining door. We had to call the front desk two times and the second time, they asked if we wanted a new room. Even though it was the last thing we wanted to do, we said yes knowing that the smell wasn't going away and that we'd probably be dealing with the loud voices of our neighbor throughout the night. So half asleep in my pajamas, I had to walk down to the front desk (next to the casino) to get a new key for a new room at the end of the hall. You'd think they could've run it down to us in our room. Then we had to pack up all of our stuff that had been carefully laid out like our bathroom bags, meds, clothes, backpacks, shoes, etc. and take two trips to get all of our stuff moved down to our new room (we were flying out of Vegas the next day). While I'm grateful that we were able to move and the front desk person apologized and was nice, I got the feeling that the staff were trying to avoid dealing with the issue so it was easier to move us. When I checked out in the morning, I complained to the front desk clerk who then got the "floor manager". She said I could talk to the general manager so she wrote down my name and phone number and said he would call me. That was the morning of Friday, April 23rd and the general manager has never called me to this day. A few days after we checked out, I received an e-mail saying they like to get feedback and hear about our experience. Since I hadn't received a call yet, I e-mailed back what happened to us and that was 10 days ago. I simply asked for a call back from the manager but I've still heard nothing. They clearly only want to hear good feedback and not the bad stuff. Had I received a response from him, I would probably be writing a different review or at least I could say they care. We actually chose this hotel because of the good reviews we read so that is extra disappointing that no one seems to care in our situation. With the general manager not calling me back, I wonder if this is the norm and not the exception to allow people to party and smoke weed in their rooms.…
Very friendly staff, rooms clean and comfortable. We had a very pleasant view over the pond and ate at the restaurant. We like to think of it as a "vintage" experience and it was better than expected. The casino during COVID April 2021 was quiet with just slot machines. The wifi worked fine. The restaurant has traditional American meals and the rooms were clean and quiet. I liked having the two sinks which helped with getting ready and there was enough room and chairs for us. Nice touch to have a balcony with chairs and chairs and a table inside the room. Room equipped with a mini-fridge but no microwave. No coffee in the room but the 24 hour store has it. Good stop before Death Valley.
We stayed there after our trip to Death Valley, It was close enough to Death Valley. It had a casino, one restaurant, pool, jacuzzi. It had a petting zoo and it was very funny to see the animals, It had a 24 hour gas station. Ice machine only on first floor. It had a manmade lake. Good value for the hotel room. No bath tub, shower only, refrig in room. tv. The towels are small and thin and they really dont want you to take them. Check in was easy, I had to physically go down to check out. There is an elevator, but one wing made you go down another stair case to get to your room. It was clean, beds were comfortable. It is out in the middle of no where. We did not try the casino or restaurant. No coffee machine. I would not pay more for the view, but some liked it.
