The Palace Hotel Zagreb, located in the center of Zagreb, immediately next to the beautiful old city park Zrinjevac, opened its doors in 1907 as the first professionally organized hotel in Zagreb. The hotel has since undergone several renovations in order to be modernized and follow contemporary management trends. Today, it merges the comfort of a modern lifestyle with a warm retro-chic atmosphere created by its antique-style furniture and its modernist interior. The Palace Hotel Zagreb is the ideal choice for guests who visit Zagreb for business, as well as for tourists at particularly favorable accommodation prices.

I was given a room beside the area under construction on the third floor. I was assured the hotel was full and there were no other rooms available. My room needed dusting, the drain in the floor backed up when I used the sink and the heat could not be controlled. I informed

Dear Jeanne2013, Thank you for choosing Palace Hotel Zagreb and for taking the time to write a review here on Tripadvisor. We are very happy that you've enjoyed our convenient location. We are very privileged to be surrounded with such a beautiful and calming ambience in the center of the city. We are very sorry to read that our staff didn't fully delight you. Our staff is our greatest asset, which is regularly confirmed by many of our guests. We truly regret that you didn’t have such a positive impression and thank you for bringing the situation. Additionally, we regret to read there was an issue with the room you were staying in. We certainly apologize for all the possible inconveniences caused by the lack of attention to housekeeping details. We have discussed your remarks with our Housekeeping Manager in order to introduce improvements and to prevent any service and quality shortcomings in the future. We certainly regret for not being able to offer you another room due to the high occupancy and plumbing issues. Thank you once again for your honest feedback. We hope that despite these situations, you enjoyed your overall stay with us and that you will choose to return to Zagreb and have a truly positive and memorable experience. Kind regards, Tomislav Kuliš General Manager

Just returned from spending 4 nights at the Palace. The hotel, built in 1907 as the very first commercial hotel in Zagreb just exudes old world charm, history and tradition. The rooms were comfortably and of a reasonable size. The lobby was beautiful as was the breakfast room

Dear GoPlaces4539, Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to write a review here on Tripadvisor. We are very sorry to read about the cleanliness issue. As we take all guest's remarks seriously, I have immediately checked the situation with our Housekeeping Manager and I was informed that the room had a "Do not disturb" sign hanging the entire stay. If there is "Do not disturb" sign hanging on the door, our personnel respects our guest's privacy and does not enter the room. In that case, our housekeeping staff cleans the room only after sign removal or when the guest requires the cleaning of the room. However, we are again truly sorry for all the inconveniences. We hope that despite this situation, you enjoyed your overall stay with us and that you will choose to return to Zagreb and have a truly positive and memorable experience. Kind regards, Tomislav Kuliš General Manager

Amazing atmosphere, lovely decor and great service. They have incredible homemade sandwiches and snacks, even the plain toast is great. However I would highly recommend the Dalmatian sandwich, it's incredible.

Hi is there parking on premises, and do you know how much was it? Thanks
There is parking on the small street beside the side of the hotel . An attendant came over as we looked for a space late in the day. Somehow he found a spot for us. I don't recall that we paid for it but we tipped him.

Is there Zagreb airport pickup and dropoff and if not, best suggested method of transportation?
Greetings..... Palace HTL does hv a 3rd party pick-up/drop service. You can request them to book. We used their pick-up at ZAG airport. The person was very courteous & it was a smooth ride. They hv a desk on the left hand side at the entrance of the HTL, if you need to meet & book your return transfer. The Hotel is very close to the train station as well as the tram that passes thru its front door plus the main shopping area is also just few steps away... Enjoy your stay... Rgds
