Their website makes it sound like Chama NM or Durango Colorado in regards to the trains. Truth is a major freight goes by several times an hour, shaking the whole building and horns screaming. In between are the smaller trains that will still prevent any sleep. We gave up after two hours, left, and moved about 5 miles to a QUIET and much cleaner motel. When we complained we were not given a refund nor would the chain comp a night on our privileges account. Should be a large red sign on the door warning people this is not a place to try to SLEEP. Refusal of refund shows lack of integrity also. Rated one star because zero stars is not an option.

Room Tip: Get back on interstate and go west about 5 miles. Several clean quiet motels to choose from.

Room was not ready upon checking in as promised. Heavy drug use and partying next room over. Group was smoking marijuana heavily and blocking doorway. Luckily children were not with me. Marijuana smoke filled my room terribly. So drug use, distribution and loud partying all even until police arrived well after midnight. Management never addressed the group. Pot smoking resumed very early the tolling morning. I skipped their breakfast to get out of their asap. Management never addressed the group. Police missed the core group and marijuana when they arrived. I addressed with front desk that morning upon leaving, person said yeah, I'm going to ask them to leave. Did not offer any break on amount I was charged. Very unsafe. Train tracks right next to location. Very loud regardless. But drug use was shocking. Stay away. Stay anywhere else but this place. I have video of the group and cops through door.

Awful hotel, broken door latch and lock, broken door stopper, smelled awful could hardly stand it. Arrived while driving from Kansas to Virginia for one night and didn’t realize how bad this Quality Inn was. They gave us a smoking room which was so bad we had to be moved, receptionist was nice and that was the only benefit from this stay. Wallpaper was falling off the wall and the bathroom wasn’t clean, stains all over the carpet and it felt like 100 degrees in the room when we arrived. Very upset with the comfort my husband and I felt on this stay, we put a chair in front of the door since the lock was completely broken to latch. Train right next to the hotel and blew the horn all night. Definitely not worth the money we spent on it for one night, could have gone to a motel for better and cleaner environment. Will not be staying here again.

I stayed here several years ago and had to sign a statement that the train whistles didn't bother me. Well, it's gone, but they still don't know the difference between steam whistles and diesel horns., That said, I had a pleasant stay - and I have to admit the property tries to connect to the CSX yard across the road. The room was fine and the staff pleasant. I may well stay there again in the near future,

Stopped here as we had our two small dogs. Outside rooms. Not the cleanest place but reasonable rates. Breakfast was average (biscuits and gravy) sausage eggs and the usual waffle machine. On the main road with no restaurants close. We did get a delivery from Giovanni's which was nice after a long day on the road.
