We stayed for two nights over the weekend. At night it was very loud due to the bathroom in the next room and loud guests. Good for cheap stay near pubs and clubs, bad if you want a quiet night. The stuff is friendly, overall clean.

The hostel was a good place to stay in Montevideo. It was not so close to the city center as I thought, but that meant it was closer to the bus station. You can rent bikes, but that is kind of expensive. The hostel itself is very good value for money, breakfast was included for

Buena onda! I felt home at this hostel, really nice and quiet place to stay at. My first impressions, however, weren't the best, and I feel I have to share them  so that little thinks could be improved. Let me start with the good part. It is a rather small hostel, for 18 people

Thanks for the review! I'm glad that at the end, you could find what Buenas Vibras hostel is! :) The city center is 15 minutes away walking, and the old city 30 minutes away. There's also buses that will take you there in 5-10 minutes. Not having a sign is a choice, everybody found the hostel. Ever since we opened 2 years ago ;) The decoration we have, is the one we choose. Having a white wall is also considered decoration. The wooden ceiling and the white walls I think go nice together. The rooms are shared dorms, it always depends on how tidy or not people is. Now we have 20 lockers, so it's not a problem anymore, but thanks for the comment! :D They are made of wood, it's true, but not that easy to break in. Trust me, so many people forgot their keys and we have to spend a good time there trying to break the lock! We clean the bathrooms every day, and more than once per day. I've been living in Montevideo for 30 years, I personally do the training and when someone is working here know what to do around, or has my phone to ask me whenever I'm not around (or any of the "locals"). Cheers! Matías

Hi! How's it going? Our check in time is from 2pm till midnight. We don't have reception desk during the night, the first shift starts at 7.30 in the morning. If you want to come after 7.30 is ok for us if you wanna use the facilities before the check in time, or if you want to leave your bag and go to see the city meanwhile. Cheers. Matías
