Villa Barranco is a wonderful hotel that used to be two large mansions built in the 1920’s by a brother and sister according to the general manager, Diana Macere Poli. It has been beautifully restored into a boutique hotel. Rooms are spacious with courtyards for each first floor room, a rooftop bar area and flowers are everywhere. The decor is traditional with modern and artsy touches. Breakfast is included and is served on a small patio or in a large dinning room that has old world charm. This is on a quiet street and steps from the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean and in walking distance of many restaurants and attractions. This is a lovely establishment that is only 3-4 years old and they have their act together!! Well done Ananay Hotel group!!

This was the end of our 2 week vacation and Peru, and we were so thrilled to have chosen Villa Barranco. The property is stunning, the staff is wonderful, our room was spectacular. We had a lovely large terrace (which was great for the kids). Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The hotel provides purified water and coffee on a 24h basis. When we arrived we were treated to home baked cookies (which the kids loved). I highly recommend getting the hotel to organize airport transfer, we had a great SUV transport us to the airport, very professional. Highly recommend Villa Barranco, such a great stay. Thank you to all the staff, we had a wonderful stay.

We absolutely loved this hotel. If you want to relax and enjoy all that Lima has to offer, then this is the perfect base. The hotel is a restored mansion and the rooms are huge, with high ceilings. Located a few minutes from the beachfront, we were able to stroll to the beach and the surrounding areas. The staff were so accommodating. Breakfast is served in the dining room and we enjoyed sitting out on the terrace in the peaceful calm of the garden. Can't speak highly enough of this hotel and its staff - thank you.

The hotel is small, stylish and well run. It has the feel of a family home and service is excellent. What a shame it does breakfast only. The elegant dining room where breakfast is served would be perfect for a stylish supper

We enjoyed drinks on the roof terrace in the late afternoon after a bracing walk along the nearby sea wall. The area felt very safe. Although there are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity, the receptionist advised a taxi after dark and made both the restaurant and return taxi booking for us. Breakfast was good with plenty of fresh fruit, passable coffee and homemade cake

My husband and I stayed at Villa Barranco for Christmas this year at the end of a 2 week trip in Peru. The villa is absolutely gorgeous, great restoration, decor and charm! The rooms are all decorated beautifully, are spacious and clean. The location is perfect! We were within walking distance of the beach, all the amazing local restaurants, shops and cool neighborhood vibe of Barranco. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, cook us our favorite Christmas breakfast (delicious pancakes and eggs) and accommodate our travel plans. I would highly recommend Villa Barranco to travelers that like to experience the real charm of a city. This property is a true gem in the busting city of Lima!

A small, boutique, lovely hotel located in the nicest part of Lima, right by the sea. Each room is individual and elegantly decorated. The breakfast is excellent with a buffet complemented by a la carte orders of eggs, pancakes, etc. Due to the size of the hotel offer they offer a limited lunch/dinner menu. However, there are several excellent restaurants within a short walking distance. The only negative re food and drinks is the coffee could be better, but again some of the best independent coffee shops are a short walk away.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable and generally well maintained, with good amenities. More bins in the room rather than a single bin in the toilet would be more logical.

By far what makes this hotel are its staff. The service is outstanding. The team here are so accommodating making you feel totally at home. Special shoutout to Frank, Julio, Monica, Juanita and Jenny - you are incredible! Thank you so much for making our stay in Lima on both occasions so special and memorable.

We visited Lima for five days toward the end of our South America trip. While we enjoyed Lima and what it had to offer, we particularly loved where we stayed. Villa Barranco was the most unique experience we had during our travels. It felt like home; the staff was lovely and accommodating, the room and the building were unique, and the breakfast was delicious. Sometimes we just wanted to hang out in our room with a great view rather than explore the city! The ocean view was just a minute's walk from the hotel; we enjoyed the beautiful sunset couple of evenings. The location is near restaurants, the beach is easily accessible, and we felt safe. We highly recommend it to anyone who is planning to visit Lima.

Beautiful gem of a hotel! Charming, historic mansion in the heart of the Barranco district of Lima. There are 9 guest rooms within the hotel, we stayed in 4 of them. The hotel staff was accommodating from arranging our car service from the airport to private transfer to Paracas. Friendly, English speaking staff helped us feel at home, making us a complimentary welcome drink and custom breakfast in the morning. Each room exudes luxury with charming decor and beautiful, spacious bathrooms. A must stay on your visit to Lima, it was home away from home for us on our first night in Peru!

We absolutely loved this hotel- probably the best city hotel we stayed in throughout our trip to Chile, Bolivia and Peru. The minute you walk through the door you feel at home in this beautiful former mansion. We were told the owners rescued it from its dilapidated state and they’ve done a fantastic job. Everything is in keeping with the period of the house and both the public areas and the rooms contain interesting articles such as antique leather suitcases, old birdcages, traditional indigenous artefacts etc. The manager gave us such a warm welcome and all the staff were delightful. For breakfast you sit round a big square table with 4 or 5 other guest which is a nice opportunity to share travellers’ tales and the breakfast is absolutely delicious. You can ask for any cooked breakfast you like or if you prefer you can choose a continental breakfast including delicious fresh fruit . The hotel is in a cool boho area of Lima with very nice cafes and restaurants nearby and beautiful colonial houses - some of them the mansions of the many mining millionaires who from the late 19th century made their fortunes. A fabulous experience all round and we wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights.

Very cool villa, with unique and interesting artifacts and very unconventional spacious rooms.
It's a small villa with limited rooms and people staying over,,,, so makes it more of an intimate stay!
Breakfast was so scrumptious, with fruits, juices, coffee, baked goods and warm food of choice.

The only think not perfect was the water temperature in the bathroom, wasn't hot enough.

The neighborhood is very cute as well, highly recommend staying here.

I agree with the previous replies. The management and staff gave my group (booked by a local agent) very welcoming and personal service. Therefore, best advice is to contact them directly for your wishes. Best, Magnus, Stockholm, Sweden.
