As far as this class hotel in China & Tibet goes, this hotel is okay. Smoking all over facility; restaurant, lobby, elevators, hallways; you name. Even if you have a non-smoking room the ventilation system will deliver healthy levels of second hand smoke.

Walking distance to Potala Palace as well as a very large park. Shopping, banking, restaurants and food stores close by. Nice rooms which includes a humidifier to help compensate for the very high altitude of Tibet. Large breakfast buffet, including cooked to order eggs.

We stayed at the Minshan Hotel in Lhasa for 3 nights. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The rooms were well heated and beds were luxurious. The location was a little bit out of the way. It was about a 20-30min walk to the Bakor area. But the walk past the Potala Palace
