Neighbourhood
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.

The staff was so friendly and nice. We also had an amazing view from the 26th floor, and it was lovely. The rooms are not modern, but the A/C works well and the shower pressure was great. It was also very clean, which I say is better than being modern. The entrance is a bit

Quirky place with first impression more like a hostel, though we got used to the quirks. Hotel has about 32 floors, only 3 rooms per floor, and two elevators, one of which has been out of service for some time. With the lobby (small front desk and uninviting sitting area) on

Booked for 4 nights. Due to a late arrival flight from Sydney did not check in until 0400. Our room, 2000, had a floor to ceiling glass window, which was great for the view but until you looked how far the bed was away from it, approx.40cm it was quite scary and I'm not frighten

No free shuttle bus from airport. Instead you can take A11 and alight at Wan Chai Fire Station. The hotel is three blocks aways from there.

Don't know about the room in question, but room we had a) had a very good shower ( no bath) and b) can't remember much about TV position, but it didn't affect us as there were no English channels anyway

Dear Woodside8437, Thank you for your enquiry. Gloucester Hotel is located near Causeway Bay MTR station exit C. It takes about 5-8 minutes by foot. If you already have hop on hop off bus ticket (Big Bus), the nearest stop is Sogo department store. If not, you have to go to Central Pier #7 to purchase/redeem your ticket. May I know which terminal you will arrive in Hong Kong. So we will suggest you the best way to Gloucester Hotel. For departure, there is an airport bus number A11 stops near Gloucester Hotel just 1 minute walking. Or you can take taxi or MTR to Hong Kong station for Airport Express train and you can enjoy the in town check in service. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have further enquiry. Thank you for your attention. Best regards, Kelvin Yam Operations Manager kelvinyam@gloucesterhotel.hk +852 3996 2888
