We were a small group of 3 travellers enjoying our 3 nights stay at Sofu hotel. The location of the hotel is perfect for those who want to experience the little small ecentric street - “Hutong” of Beijing. Within 5 minutes walking distance is a...More
We wanted something that felt Chinese but had all the usual comforts for a reasonable price, and most good courtyard hotels were too expensive. So we settled for Sofu and didn't regret it at all. The building and rooms are quite nice, western breakfast is...More
Definitely reasonably priced, and friendly staff. It was close to the subway, but the hutong made it feel more authentic. I would recommend if you are going to stay in Beijing as it is very conveniently located to visit the Forbidden City or need to...More
We booked a Deluxe Room for our stay. Experience overall was good. Below are a few points worth mentioning:
+ Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The manageress assisted in booking our tickets to the Forbidden City on-line.
+ Room is comfortable and spacious.
Loved the location of this chic boutique hotel. It was traditional yet modern. Beautiful decor and was a very comfortable stay. We got a huge suite and more than enough beds for a family of four. My only concern was the water in the shower...More

You can take the metro from the airport to Ping'anli station (about 50 minutes-29¥) and walk easily to hotel. We took a taxi to the hotel from the airport and it seemed reasonable for 2 people but I can't remember the cost. Be sure to have the hotel address written in Chinese. Someone at the airport could help you with this if it is your first stop in China. Highly recommend MetroMan app for metros around the world and maps.me for an offline map.
Email the hotel for the metro exit to use to put you nearest the street the hotel is on ((I can't remember). I hope this helps! Have fun- we lived Beijing!
