About
Description
Hallo and Jambo, a hearty welcome to our Malaika Camp. The Malaika Camp is a private safari camp. We have a unique, fantastic location in the Maasai Mara. It is located right on the Mara River in the heart of Maasai More Mara Reserve. We have a very friendly and motivated staff of 12 people. All employees are Masai and grow up locally. Our chef has a lot of experience and cooks excellent food. Every morning we bake our own bread. Our guests love his food. We have 5 very comfortable, large and stylish furnished tents with hot eco water shower, wash basin and toilet. They have an inside dimension of 28 sqm. In our king-size- or twin beds you will sleep very well. In our restaurant tent you can enjoy our delicious cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere. As a starting point for adventurous safari rides with our own 4x4 jeeps we have the perfect location in the Masai Mara. The guests who visited us loved our familiy atmosphere and they all want to come back to us or have already booked again. If you visit us in the months of July to October you can experience the unique wonder of the Big Migration. Approximately 1.3 Million gnus, over 200,000 zebras and 350,000 gazelles and antelopes migrate from the Serengeti in Tanzania to Maasai Mara. There they have to cross the Mara River which forms a natural barrier for the wild animals. Exactly at that great river, the banks of our camp is located. Nature lovers will be amazed and spend an unforgettable safari holiday here! If you have breakfast or lunch at noon, you can thereby observe crocodiles and hippos. We look forward to see you at Malaika Camp. Jo, John & Malaika Team Jo and John Less

Hello, you don`t need winter clothes but a warm jacket is good. It is about 11 degrees in the evening and at night.
