The Rekero Camp in Kenya was one of the highlights on the trip. The staff, food an accommodations were terrific! Sleeping in a beautiful tent with hippos grazing in the pools below was spectacular. I can't wait to visit again.

Rekero strikes a fine balance between tented and luxury camps with the emphasis on getting the maximum out of game drives. Whilst the guide's expertise makes sure that you get the maximum opportunity to view and quietly follow the animals, the hospitality back at the camp is relaxed, personal friendly and interesting. Lovely, fully equipped tents overlook the Tana river...

This is a really welcoming place with an excellent staff. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. The guides went all out to assure that I had spectacular sightings all to myself whenever possible. The accommodations are comfortable and I had a fabulous time. The tents are large and comfortable. It's great feeling to hear the hyenas and other animals outside...

Great things happen here. So many special touches. Greeted with hot towels with eucalyptus oil in it to refresh you after every Safari. All staff make an effort to greet you when they meet you and call you by name. Food is extraordinary!! We didn't think to warn them of food restrictions and the chef was so accommodating and creative...

We stayed at Rekero for 3 nights in January 2017. Stacey and Pete were the perfect hosts. The camp wonderful, so wild but every luxury. The food was excellent especially given the remote location. The highlight was waking up to elephants stripping trees outside our tent, watching their tusks glisten in the moonlight.

My husband and I visited Rekero Camp in October. It was such a fantastic experience from every aspect. We stayed five nights at Rekero and enjoyed every minute. Everything was just spot on, the location on a river bank gives great views and some interesting animal visitors to see, and hear at night. The staff were all first rate, great service, nothing was too much trouble. The tents are huge, three rooms and quite luxurious. Shower with hot...
