Sarova Mara Game Camp is located in the heart of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve in South West Kenya. It is 260 km from Nairobi, a 1-hour flight from Nairobi, 20-minute drive from the airstrip and a 5 1/2-hours drive from Nairobi on the new tarmac road. It is set on an elevation surrounded by two streams. We passed a wonderful time in the Sarova hotel, the tent was really comfortable and clean, we could listen many animals at night even hyenas. Some animals came close to the tent to drink some water at night, thanks to the tall guard who show us this little secret with his flashlight ( sorry for don’t remember your name). All the staff was really really kindly and above all I would like to mention this guard and the coolest chef ever Douglas, he was really kindly with my girl and me, thanks for the chapati. I will come back for sure

Sarova Mara Game Camp is very good - score 9/10. Excellent staff, sumptuous food, organic farming is the highlight, pool side facility is best, bar and fire to keep warm is excellent Mr Douglas, the vegetarian Chef was best and we enjoyed vegetarian breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. Even the lunch pack for game ride - full day - was very good.

I haven’t managed to write a review in a while, but in this instance I felt compelled to. Following a friend’s recommendation, we stayed at Savora Mara a week ago. The location of the game reserve, accommodation, facilities and food make this a great choice for all. Especially, the nice ambience in communal areas, the setting and the resort’s efforts to conserve energy. What really sets this game reserve apart is the people. The talent that run the operations make you feel relaxed, with a real sense of familiarity and warmth. I recently studied ‘organisational behaviour’ and this resort has an organisational culture that most businesses would aspire for. The people who work here look after the hotel, which feels like their home, whilst also taking care of you. My friend was unwell during this trip, the sincerity of concern and kindness did not go unnoticed. I will certainly be returning, but next time with my children and family. On a personal note, I would like to thank Martin, Grace, Nixhan, Daglous, Muhammed, Sophie, Ruth Lydia, Anthony (apologies if I got any of the names incorrect), and the rest of the team for making this such an enjoyable stay. I look forward to returning soon. Mandeep

We had a Club Tent and it was very nice - great furnishings, private location and very comfortable. The lodge itself was quite nice but they are really trying to keep everyone happy and it ends up feeling a bit like you are on a cruise. A kids pool table in the bar, table tennis by the pool and someone singing old Beatles' songs during dinner. These things made it feel a bit tacky so i would highly recommend you avoid the weekends.
