A tented camp on outskirts of Masai Mara so you have to drive into the park daily. Wonderfully welcoming staff - everyone of them. We had special treatment from Alan, the Masai, who took us to our room at night - very enthusiastic about the lodge and Gregory (Lepori) the waiter. We found the facilities good - it was cold while we were there and the bed and duvet were very snuggly. A surprise was the hot water bottle - lovely. I liked that they have a turn down, great when you go to bed and your room is prepared. There was a second double bed in our room which cramped the space. We are a couple and didn't need it. Found it strange as they have family units. The food was really wonderful. A lot of thought goes into the menu and well cooked and presented. I would say that they can work on the picnic lunch - more bite sized portions and a bit of variety - we had a picnic 2 days in a row and it was the same. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this lodge.…
We had a great experience celebrating a milestone birthday and visiting Kenya for the first time. The staff was very accommodating and the tents were very nice. We were greeted with a friendly welcome from the Masai Warriors and felt very comfortable and secure in our tents. There was not one bad thing about the Emayian camp. From the tents to the food and the staff. They all contributed to a great stay/vacation in Masai Mara.
Great amenities but the food needs some improvement. The presentation itself is very much okay but please make the food much more sweeter. I enjoyed the swimming pool in the wild, the jacuzzi & the lounge. Kindly add a gift shop to the amenities. The bush breakfast was prestine.
It was rather disappointing and not worth the exorbitant cost. Food takes too long to prepare even when you preorder which is tough when you have children. Water kept running out, being given only one towel. Service was really really bad. The staff need training. Jacuzzi wasn’t working at all just for show. I wouldn’t go back or recommend it
Truly an unforgettable experience. Enjoyed the space between the tents, felt like we were in our own piece of heaven. The jacuzzi was a delight and was set up upon request, bubbles and all. The staff truly MAKE the stay. Special mention to Allan on the welcome/security team and our waiter, Lepore (Gilbert) who made our stay even more special with daily conversation. The chefs will feed you, literally, until you struggle to leave the dining room 😂. The soup, at each meal, was exceptional. The lodge is intimate, 12 tents, well-spaced, gives a good amount of privacy. Already thinking out when I can pay another visit.
