“Sheer Adventure” Rising from the floor of the Great Rift Valley like a monolith is the extinct volcano of Mount Longonot. A unique feature is the thick forest that lies within the crater of the mountain. The crater rim also provides great scenic views across the beautiful Rift Valley all the way to Lake Naivasha. Major wildlife attractions at Mount Longonot include buffaloes, elands, lion, leopard, bushbucks, common zebra, giraffe and Grant’s gazelles.

Booked for only one night stay but ended up spending five more days, reasons why I stayed there is the prices were more cheaper than what most hostels, backpackers or bed and breakfast charge, the rooms were neat and very clean linen, the proximity was fabulous and you get public transport right at the gate which made traveling around the city easy and cheap, the neighborhood is secure and multi cultural. The food was great, I got free wi-if bt it wasn't working so well inside the rooms but ok in the compound and what surprised me more is as cheap as I was paying they upgraded my room and basic breakfast was free. I just can't say more about this place, just visit and discover for yourself, I would recommend this place to backpackers and couples.
