I gave it a 3 star because the pricing is right and the staff is courteous. the hotel is quiet but once u step right Outside the hotel it gets very noisy and busy. But then again this in Nairobi. It felt safe inside the hotel. Just keep your gurad up once you are around the city.

I picked this hotel for its central location and good value for a one-night stop-over. It's located in a narrow, very congested and busy street in Central Business District so given the horrendous congestion in Nairobi at most times of day it is not easy getting in and out by car or taxi. We arrived by taxi late at night straight from the airport and despite having been to Nairobi before and having travelled independently in Africa previously, my initial feeling approaching the hotel was not great. Once parked outside however, I was re-assured by the clearly dressed staff, who carried our luggage up the stairs to reception (hotel seems to be 1st floor and up). The staff were indeed the best bit about this hotel. Next day, as we were on our way to a planned rendezvous with friends passing through Nairobi, the hotel called the taxi driver to advise him to return us to the hotel as our friends had been delayed. The hotel also allowed us to leave boxes of shoes (destined for an orphanage) in their store room for free for a few days, after which we picked them up on the way back through Nairobi. Breakfast was OK.
The room however was a disappointment. The floor was dirty with footprints, there were blood-filled mosquitoes in the room but no nets, and ventilation holes to corridor were not netted. The shower was of a type we have seen before in Kenya but not less disturbing for that - the sort with exposed wiring to the shower head.
Overall, for us this was OK for a one-night stop-over, but be aware this hotel offers a mix of charming vs worrying

We had to stay in Nairobi for 1 night before go to safari, we choose this hotel cause was not far from airport, we had transfer, that we paid separated, the room was clean, we had breakfast, the staff was nice, just be careful around the hotel, is not safe and is very crowded, if you go out leave your valuables, and bags in the hotel, do not use jewelry.

I recently stayed at this hotel twice and will never return. The rooms are ridiculously noisy, partly due to the neighborhood (which was not great) and partly due to the Zumba classes that literally vibrate every room in the hotel starting at 6am. We complained to the front desk who was unresponsive. The beds are rock hard, the bathrooms only somewhat clean, and the towels had hair on them. No mosquito nets. Btw, am not even sure where the "management provided photos" on this trip advisor listing came from..saw nothing like the sleek boardroom and clean exterior that these pictures show! If you are looking to save a few bucks, don't do it by staying here.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you are planning your first trip to Africa. It caters to few Westerners, clients are mostly Africans, and it's located on a busy but somewhat hard-to-find street in the hustle and bustle of downtown Nairobi. The price is great (I paid $60), the staff are very nice and entirely trustworthy, and the hotel is safe. You can walk around the neighborhood in the day (though not much of interest is nearby), but it's not safe to do so at night.
I had one mosquito in the room (there is no net), but Nairobi doesn't have malaria so I wasn't concerned. The hotel has a decent restaurant, and breakfast is fine too. There's the occasional prostitute sitting in the bar lounge looking for work.
Wifi works fairly well in the rooms. The shower was fine. There is a TV with a few channels. There's also A/C and heat.
There is some noise, but not bad.
It's definitely a budget hotel, but it could be perfect for your needs and pocketbook. I will use it again. But it's not for everyone.

We stayed at Hotel Central Park this August after our Safari. It was a lot cheaper than any other hotel in Nairobi we took into account and it was definitely the best value for money we could get. It was clean, staff was very friendly and WiFi was super fast! We went on a walking trip in the city centre with one of the staff member - free of charge (we gave him some tip). They also arranged transport pickups for us which was very helpful. And the double bed we had in our room was huge :)

I can definitely recommend this hotel for anyone travelling in Kenya who is not looking for a luxury hotel.
