I was welcomed back warmly and enjoyed a relaxing stay at this beautiful hotel close to the airport but away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I was travelling on my own and each member of staff went out of their way to treat me kindly and everyone was extremely polite and helpful. My room was spacious, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable with every necessity provided for use within the room and efficient air conditioning and wi-fi systems. The meals I ate at both the hotel restaurant and the a la carte restaurant were delicious and the gift shop contained a wide variety of beautiful souvenirs for friends and family. The hotel taxi service to the airport was also spotlessly clean and very efficient, especially as I had an early morning departure, and the availability of breakfast before I left was really appreciated. Asante sana to everyone for such generous African hospitality.

This was a short trip wherein I had to spend a night , while on my way to Masai Mara. They had arranged for an airport pick up ( at a cost ) but the entire process was handled very smoothly. The driver was friendly and courteous and the car was clean , spacious and comfortable. The location is slightly off the main road and is quite easy to find.
The checkin was smooth and the room was clean and spacious. They have a little coffee shop near the lobby and a swimming pool on the terrace. The restaurant serves decent food and the service has the warmth.
The rooms have all the modern amenities which you can imagine in any 5 star rated property.

I have stayed at The Boma Hotel in Nairobi for business from 1st March, leaving today.
The room is great, well equiped, clean with minibar, tea making space and materials and all the useful kits as well as information.
The staff is professional and friendly from the reception, concierge, restaurant and room service etc. Great range of food variety.
I loved the band on Sunday.
The location of the hotel is a bit far from "town" but you can call Uber and pay between around 5$ to get to town. Hotel has airport pick up and drop off for additional cost of 25$ one way.
Next time I hope to be able to visit the gym, pool and spa.
Thank you The Boma Hotel, I enjoyed my stay and will come back in the future

Booked to stay at the Boma through what we thought was the hotels website.
We were quoted £141 for a room but when my credit card was charged it was charged at £216. With an email being sited that this was tax.
When I wrote to query They said that it was a third party company handling it. On top of this they had sent an email summary just before I had paid: I would expect this to be visible before card details were entered.
I booked what I thought was directly with the hotel to get the best rate guaranteed and the rate that they quoted.
Ensure that you go through third party providers to find the best rate as there are much better rates post tax than booking directly.
We have not stayed at the hotel yet but feel like I have been deceived so am not arriving under the best circumstances.

In the past six months I have stayed at five different luxury hotels in the greater Nairobi area, and the Boma is my definite favorite. The overall appearance of the hotel is beautiful, the staff are eager to serve guests, and the fitness center is outstanding. I truly enjoyed getting up every morning for breakfast, and I also looked forward to ordering room service in the evenings. Granted, the room service menu is not exactly five-star, but for a five-star hotel the menu prices are quite reasonably priced. On that point, because the Boma offers an excellent overall experience at a fair price, I definitely look forward to returning.

This was our second time staying at the Boma. Our first time was in 2019 and when we returned in 2022 it was disappointing to see how much this place has gone down hill. The Boma is just not maintained well and needs some serious work, attention and refurbishment.

In our room, the desk chair was broken and could not be adjusted. The shower leaked and left a huge puddle of water on the bathroom floor. There were no washcloths at all. I specifically asked for them and was told someone would bring them to the room. They never came. The bathroom itself was small and cramped which was odd because the room itself was good sized. It just made no sense to have such a large room and such a tiny bathroom.

The buffet in the main restaurant was awful and was a monumental rip off for the price. Service of drinks in the main restaurant was painfully slow. Lunch at the smaller bar/restaurant was much better. In one of the restrooms outside the bar, the sink had no running water. It is inexcusable that you can’t wash your hands in a public bathroom.

When we checked out to go to the airport, the bellhop put my girl friend’s bag in the wrong vehicle. She realized this on the way to the airport but it created a lot of stress trying to get her bag.

The only real positives about this place is that it is close to both airports and the beds were comfortable. That said, I would not stay here again.

Stayed in room 2207 for a week long stay, got
1st class treatment,(breakfast)too expensive.(lunch & dinner)the cooks, waitresses give it there all.you’ve to try the lamb & salmon.worth every penny.(Front desk)Masha&faith are the true MVP,they gave us the best service a front desk could ever give. The there is Evelyn her attitude & patience needs to change. In my opinion.she doesn't represent what Boma is.(cleaning) got to give them 6 stars because it was on time everytime. (Security)very patient fellows, great work.(pricing)very reasonable room rates but very atrocious service fees.i.e laundry is $4 a shirt.the cafe prices too high they can do better.the amenities are too pricey.so I asked the front desk why everything was so high, they said because they're a 5 star rating. Yes,I agree but you can't charge 5 star prices and give 4 star quality it doesn't work that way.but the bottom line is it's a really comfortable hotel to stay at and I would do it again in the future, just one thing Evelyn needs to understand what great customer service is and her attitude needs to change especially in this challenging times we're facing. There's no room for error, give the best service or not at all.there are so many players in the game. All or nothing. Thank you.

Check in was O; rooms very nice and clean, pool was great. traffic from hotel to town was terrible so if you are planning to do some business on opposite side of town and you will stay in Boma be prepared for few hours in car. Hotel staff was great however on Thursday there was new guy in restaurant and he was slow and mixed our orders (nothing big but still after whole day we wanted to enjoy meal in piece)

I've long learned to hope for quiet when I come to African cities, and one of my challenges has been to find a good hotel where sleep hygiene is honored. While that may seem less important than food, for me it's THE top priority. Without rest I am not going to be functional. That said, the Boma wasn't just that. The rooms are very large, spacious and generous, including a fridge for your own water and food as needed. The view was wonderful and people bent over backwards when I had an internet issue my second night. A move to a different room and problem solved.

The breakfast buffet is a little too generous, meaning that you have to show some discipline when faced with so many choices. I had room service and the salmon was out of this world, done perfectly. All the staff were very eager to help, and people bent over backwards to be of service. If there was a small issue, I could call it in, someone was there to help in minutes, and always, the front desk would call to make sure that everything was taken care of. I've been in pleny of places where the first call never gets answered, so to have the desk make sure you are satisfied is a real commitment and very much appreciated. This is the third hotel I've tried in Nairobi and it will be my preferred hotel for future visits.

I had stayed at the Eldoret Boma Inn last year and expected similar wonderful time at the Nairobi Boma Inn... I was disappointed by the Nairobi Boma. My friends and I had planned to stay for two nights, but left after only one night because of unsatisfactory services. We ended up at the Eka hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
We had booked in advance, but it took several hours to be assigned the right room. We were also pretty disappointed with the fact that we could not use the steam bath... they told us that something had broken and was needing to be repaired. The food selection in the one restaurant was very limited while the other restaurant served buffet only (for about $25-$30) at least at the time, that was the exchange rate.

Dear Ms. Hamp, Thank you for your above inquiry. The hotel offers amenities like toothpaste/toothbrush, lotions, shampoos etc upon request. Except for deodorants. Yes, we do have a gift shop at the Hotel where most amenities can also be bought. But incase a specific item is not available, we do have malls near the hotel where these things can be found. Thank you.

Dear John, Receive greetings from the Boma Hotel. Sincere apologies for the late reply, we do offer pick up and drop off transfer services to Wilson Airport at a rate of 3,000 KES or roughly $27.78 (our current exchange rate is 108).

Hi, we used the hotel for our layover between the international and the domestic bush flight. It is close enough to both airports. They charged around 15usd per person for the transfer. This is nothing unusual in Nairobi. You need a reliable driver there, and they tend to overcharge. But I would still recommend to book a pickup and transfer with the hotel instead of getting a taxi at the airport. Have a great time.
