Check in was OK . The rooms had mosquitoes and the air conditioning wasn't working. If you want a smoking room they definately don't have any . The rooms are okay . It wasn't that busy but slowest service I have experienced ever . The waiters are extremely extremely rude especially one called Billy who was at the pool bar ,totally unprofessional. Food not that good poor service

Stayed here after arriving in Nairobi, since our normal resort was unavailable. The hotel has very comfortable rooms and the onsite dining is good, although the options were limited. The pool was discolored.

Have stayed in this hotel on numerous occassions from the good old days when it was Grand Regency until they started charging full rates for early check-ins. Surely, how do you charge for a previous night's stay when I check-in in the morning. Well, they have lost one dedicated client. I now go to the Fairmont Norfolk where they welcomed me with open arms. I would check-in at 7.00 in the morning and they would start charging for the night of that day, not the previous night.

Shame on Laico! Front desk staff also not very friendly. When I mentioned to one of them that other hotels don't charge early check-ins, this is the reply I got, "other hotels are other hotels and Laico is Laico", which in other words means take it or leave it. Well I have left it!

I dont even know how to start. Am just disappointed by the service in the Spa and Massage department, the price more so and the service received. That massage oil_ surely its less than 1$, poor lighting in the massage room, no music, no relaxing aromas. For almost 50$ i expected a bit better than a local residential massage. Also the guy given to me for the massage was not proper. For sure, am not coming back. I feel really disgusted. Perhaps thats what hes paid to do.
P.S. U dont have to try to touch a womans privates for her to tell you to STOP. Or perhaps I went to the wrong place.

Hell experience in Laico Regency. Air-conditioning is hopeless. Noisy and not cool. Interior decoration is old and obsolete. Bed mattress is deformed and dented.
The first night that I stayed in Laico Regency was even more terrifying. I was told that they were receiving a Spanish government delegation. They had to use the living room of a suite and put an additional bed with no wider than 1 m for me to slot on. Then I left Laico Regency and returned the other day after. The first room that they put me into was on the top floor. It was extremely noisy! Must be more than 95dbA. They said that because the chiller was on top of the ceiling. That was why it was like a construction site. I demanded a change of room in lower floor. It was better but still very noisy from the air conditioner fan but still warm. The lobby was warm either. Service in coffee shop was terrible. You had to order three times and waited for 15 minutes for a cup of coffee.

Thank you, no next time. Terrifying hell experience. Never will go again even if if was free of charge. This hotel should now be demolished and disappear in this world!

Carol and her team went out of their way to make sure that we felt welcomed and that we had everything that we needed. This is a beautiful hotel with a great staff. If you are brining in a team of people or just getting away for a night, this is a place you would enjoy.

I lodged in the hotel while on transit; it’s close to Uhuru highway so accessibility to other parts of town wasn’t an issue. I had fun at the tourist market close by getting some real bargain trinkets and footwear.
Breakfast was very good with continental meals catering to all taste.
Didn't have time to check out the gym though-close to the pool.
The hotel is very clean with cool lovely artistic designs and landscaping.
Staffs were very professional and helpful and answered questions ranging from local customs to shopping tips.
Overall, it was a good experience i will stay there again when in town
