The hotel is very clean, with amaizing food - the best gourmet chocolate I have ever had and don't get me started on the brocholli. Thank you chef at skylounge on 14.02.2021, I would keep coming daily for those chocolates.

The server who waited on us Edwin was beyond kind, patient with a smile on his face, he constantly checked on us to ensure we had received our food and were enjoying it and repeatedly did tasks for us with not a flatter on his vibrant smile and good nature. Thank you so much Edwin.

My sincerest gratitude to the Manager Fatimah. I must say there has never been a visit to the hotel from the days of only Ole that she has not been welcoming, with a positive personality that immediately sets one at ease. She ensures you receive your orders on time, follows up that you are comfortable and always takes a moment to check up on the guests even as is swamped with guests. Every time I see her I immediately know my time there will be peaceful and relaxing.

Thank you very much.
I keep coming because of such excellent service.

We stayed before an early international flight. Unfortunately its obviously a key party spot and music on the open air bar on 10th floor went on extremely loudly all night which we could hear on the 9th floor below, which was meant to be an upgrade. Not good when you want to get an early night ready to wake up at 4am.

Dinner buffet was strange and expensive. For a nice hotel you'd expect a better restaurant but we left after 2 beers, 2 bottled waters and a plate of curry for 10,000ksh lighter. Service was pleasant but slow in a very large and loud room. We had no idea of the price or how to pay etc so kept having to ask how it all was supposed to work.

Its a high standard of hotel, comfy rooms though bathroom a bit small. Staff generally pleasant. I suppose its the best in the area.

The pool bar area was a great choice for a late afternoon group hang-out with the girls, offering stunning views since the hotel overlooks Nairobi national park you’ll spot a few animals. It gets better at sunset, stunning golden hour ! Excellent music as well complements the ambiance, it however got really loud towards 8PM.
The menu has varied options for bitings and of course happy hour keeps flowing till 6PM for those who choose to indulge! Our server Mary was very nice to help us decide on food options for the table & was swift with the drinks, bless her soul!

We had booked some weeks in advance for one night in Emara. We arrived at the hotel directly from the airport at about 10:30 pm. Of course we were hungry and tired. Our question if there is something to eat was denied - due to COVID. Of course we know about the restrictions of the curfew but for 200 Dollars one could expect at least a sandwich which could have been easily prepared in advance. The Mini bar in our room was warm and completely empty, not even one sachet of nuts, a glass of wine or even a coke was available. We were fully charged for almost no existent service.

We went to emara-acacia restaurant at around 3 for a late lunch- it was our first time to visit this restaurant and their services was terrible. From the entrance to the restaurant the service was absolutely horrible. We had to move over to Ole Sereni after patiently waiting for over 20 mins to be served.

To our disappointment and dissatisfaction, Ole Sereni did not do any better- their glazed beef meal was good however their lamb chops were terrible as well as their service.

Both hotels def need to work on their service or manage it was the day we went which was a Monday. Personally, unless you live close to them I would not recommend.

Avoid at all costs, awful, awful service. We stayed for one night and had 2 rooms, one was given to us with the wrong configuration and the other one was not ready, it took us 1.5 hours and the Manager's intervention to finally get the right rooms (the manager was the only ray of hope among the sea of incompetence).

Later on, we ordered room service and it arrived over an hour later - we also got a call at 12am about settling the room service charge, which woke us up, we were obviously going to pay at check out - our rooms had no towels and the morning after, since we were leaving very early, we asked for packed breakfasts (which we payed for in advance) and they were simply not delivered.

The staff was algo appaling, not a single degree of attention, and we had to ask for everything at least twice.

We were in the hotel for a total of 10 hours, and we couldn't wait to leave.

We used their facilities for the sustainability business event. They have attentive and responsive staff, food was well plated and tasty. We used the skylounge for a network event on the evening of 25th of August………It’s ozzzed class, great ambiance, they even got us an amazing DJ , and event name on dance floor lights in colors we chose. We had loads of fun, their rage of drinks was on point . Everyone’s choice was met for sure. We used Mara Ballroom on 26th for the finale and all the guests marveled at the size and decor of the room. Guests were promptly taken care of during the function and We are VERY pleased with our experience there. All the spaces and rooms we experienced during the visit had breathtaking views of the Kenya National Park. Being a pro sustainability organization. What touched us most was the Integration of Sustainability elements into their operations. Loved our experience for sure and made memories in the beautiful rooms, grounds and spaces, Thank you to team at Emara Olesereni. That was an AMAZING experience you gave us and memories!

Emara Ole Sereni gave us an amazing experience, exceeding our expectations. We had a sleep over at Emara prior to my wife's surprise birthday the following day. The reception was good, we enjoyed the food and my wife was extremely exhilarated about the experience, especially at the roof top where she did excellent photo shoot for her birthday. We then had the surprise birthday at the old Ole Sereni and it was fantastic.. what with very good food and presentation. We will definitely do this again! Special shout out for Zachariah Muriuki who managed the entire event preparation, all the way from enquiries to the actual event implementation. All our family and friends were impressed and we bagged that milestone pretty well. Many thanks!
Kind regards, Charles

Last week spent at the Olesereni side and now was at Emara side. The latter is more modern but lacks the touch compared to Olesereni side. The room we got was awesome park facing, modern utilities, simple decoration but OK. The Acacia Restaurant needs to improve on set up, service and generally menu. The service was slow too. The decor is good very simple. The balcony facing the park is great, they should provide gas heaters for guests and possibly piped music will enhance the ambiance.

Went to restaurant at 10 pm with few customers ordering food. I thought I would get quick freshly made food. After a long wait, the food was served to me and the main was overdone and cold like a rubber shoe and the fries were, cold and soggy. In other words, the food sat under the heat lamp for a long time. I sent back the food and the situation only got worst as I got the same food back. The rubber main became like steel and the fries even more soggy . Should have gone to bed instead of eating and having a horrible experience . For 20,000 shillings with tax, it was a ripoff. The restaurant should be totally embarrassed.
