I recently started swimming here again. Kenya Comfort Suites is conveniently located in Milimani. It has a terrific pool. It is also inexpensive to swim here. The pool isn't crowded during the week. It is also clean.

Was just one night after long flight from UK On an Exodus trip so they chose hotel, it was fine for one night. Very slow service and rooms very basic with a dribble for a shower. The sink also was blocked but they sorted that. Buffet breakfast was enough with lots of choices.

I work for Intrepid Travel and the Kenya Comfort Hotel & Suites is our main base hotel in Nairobi. It is a great, affordable option in comparison to other hotels on Milimani Road that have bad reputations for burglary (with good reason).

While you shouldn't expect a plethora of luxuries, the Kenya Comfort Hotel & Suites (NOT to be confused with the Kenya Comfort Hotel) is very secure and in a great, central location. The rooms are not overly modern, but are comfortable enough for a 2-2.5 star hotel. The only challenge was the bathrooms... Ours had a many plumbing issues. The shower fittings were basically a hose...

The breakfast buffet is well worth it if not included in your rate. Definitely stock up on the Kenyan doughnuts. So yummy!

I stayed at Kenya comfort for a few nights before my departure out of the country after a long vacation. The place was decent and affordable because all we needed was a place to sleep. The day of our departure we were treated like crap when we wanted to go to our room to pick our bags. They stated we can't have anyone in our room and all we needed was someone to help with our 8 suitcases. When we asked for a manager to intervene she was very rude and rather crude. I wouldn't recommend this place because the staff are very unprofessional. They need training in customer service its not what you say is how you say it. No one offered to help with the bags. I wondered did they think we wanted to steal their property? If your considering this place please keep shopping.

Thank you for taking your precious time to share your experience regarding your stay with us. Matters of security both hotel and all guest personal security are taken very seriously. Kenya is facing serious security threats on a daily basis and preventing visitors from accessing the hotel residential areas enhances security both for the hotel as well as guests. Our hotel policy doesn’t allow guests to access the rooms without registration. On your check out time you were joined by some guests from outside whom you wanted to access to your room after being explained the procedures you opted to meet them at the restaurant. Afterwards you came to reception and requested that they be allowed to accompany you to the room to assist in collecting your luggages still against the policy. At that time you became infuriated and never listened to any suggestions including being assisted by our security guard/porter. Your security is everyone’s security. John Kiriama G.M

This place is terrible.

Extremely LOUD MUSIC from next door, goes on all day and to about 4am at night. Thin windows so literally sounds like they may as well be wide open.

Arrived back from an 8 day camping tour and NO HOT WATER in the rooms.
Cold rooms, no heating.

Arrived back on a Saturday at 1pm, leaving again on another Intrepid tour tomorrow morning at 8am, and they refuse to do any laundry services (they don’t work Sundays apparently - even though today is Saturday). So a lot of us have ZERO clean clothes for our next tour. They sent us next door who also will not offer laundry as they don’t open until 10am - so we won’t get them back in time.

The included breakfast is TERRIBLE.
Overpriced food and beers. SLOW service - some people waited 2 hours to get their meals last week (the night before our tour).

For the amount of money and customers Intrepid is pumping through this place you would think they would wanting to be accommodating and helpful. They are not.

SHAME ON INTREPID TRAVEL for putting us up in such a terrible hotel.

Dear Zoe, We thank you for sharing your experience during your stay with us. We are saddened that we didn't meet your expectation because of back to back issues. Loud music is from our neighbor hood which usually happens over the weekends more so Fridays and Saturdays and not always, mostly end month weekends. In such situation we allow room change depending on availability if requested. All our rooms have hot water, since we are experiencing a fairly cold season in Nairobi, you expect flow of water to change simultaneously to get the required temperatures. Our laundry services are outsourced, you came at the reception around 4.00 p.m. and requested laundry to be done and collected the following day by 8.00 a.m or earlier which was not possible even on normal circumstances. We serve buffet breakfast with a wide selection including live cooking and we have never had any known complaint in addition one can opt for al carte breakfast. Our food and beer are not over priced they are actually cheap and affordable and there our various reviews can attest to the same. On Saturday from your trip you came to our reception that you had differed with your room mate on the way and therefore you were not comfortable sharing the same room. You were advised to inform your agent about the same but you refused. You were given another option of upgrading yourself to another room which you reluctantly accepted. It is our sincere hope that this was not the culmination of back to back issues as we trust that we have adequately addressed your concerns and we look forward to host you again. Regards, John Kiriama, General Manager

Old building, old furniture, dangerous bathroom, mysterious food, bad and dangerous neighbourhood and the hotel is a great place for prostitutes. You can pick the "ladies" from the bar and lobby.
Stay away from this hotel!

This contribution is absolutely incorrect. Our building is up to standard with very spacious rooms. Furniture is well maintained and fully functional. In fact the property is under renovation to be a better 3 star property within the next one year. Our hotel is at the outskirts of the city center with a very good neighborhood. From city centre our immediate neighbor is an hotel our next neighbor is a plot with very beautiful trees neighboring it is Department of Defence. The other neighbor is an undeveloped plot which will be developed, soon next to it is State house We don’t have a balcony and our bar largely serves in-house guests because it’s a little bit out of town. There is no surrounding activity which can attract prostitutes at all. Above all there was no any complaint lodged with our manager regarding food quality. What we have learned is that infact these were. Dutch guests who had paid dearly to their agent to be booked in a five star hotel. They had negative comments about our paintings on the wall saying that they were advertising prostitution. The truth of he matter is that these are painting of Masaai women portraying their true culture owing to the fact that this is the tribe which has really treasured and maintained its true culture, we feel to be associated with them by putting some of their painting on the walls.

We spent a night at the Comfort Suite and also spent a good 3 hours at the spa getting a 90 minute treatment (scrub, sauna and Swedish massage) + a mani/pedi for myself. The spa was great - it was a modest setup with excellent service by Vincent and Elizabeth. They really took the time with the mani/ pedi to massage and scrub my hands / feet and were very thorough in the Swedish massage. Thank you both for a very relaxing end to my stay in Kenya!

The rooms themselves are average but you get what you pay for. The staff are attentive and helpful, minding our bags on our last day. The wifi often seemed to be down which was incredibly frustrating. The food service was also slow- our food arrived cold but it was okay overall. It’s a comfortable experience but the spa was well worth visiting if you have some down time.

Thanks for you review. Great that we met your expectation in our spa. WiFi will be at times strong and weak, this is purely from our service providers. We don't have much control though we have diversified their services from various providers to avoid complete blackout. Thanks for your honest review.

Stayed for 2 nights pre an Intrepid Tour.

The hotel is clean and tidy and the people
very friendly.

There seems to be great security. The restaurant menu is extensive and reasonably priced as well.

Breakfast was included and had a great selection of options.

The room was basic but tidy with comfy beds, no issues with hot water and suited the purpose perfectly.

If departing from a tour from here I would
recommend staying a pre night as it’s nice and easy to meet your group from and has everything you need.

Thank you for your review. Just to remind you a little bit, your predicament started from the parking yard where you had a disagreement with your male colleague who went and left you there. Then you proceeded to our reception and requested for a room and started disputing the rates. After some exchanges, you decided to pay but could not raise enough money, you took your credit card and told our receptionist to check if it’s working. Actually your credit card transaction declined several times and now you requested to be allowed to sleep then pay the following day. We also have mobile money transfer payment option – Mpesa, which you could have arranged. Up to this stage, you had portrayed yourself negatively eroding any level of confidence you could be accorded. Our policy is prepayment for accommodation as is common in the industry, unless you have prior arrangements. Declining your request for accommodation on credit doesn’t portray you as a thief as the hotel reserves right of admission. It’s an offence to publicly post a photo of an individual without any prior consent as it infringes one’s privacy. Regards, John Kiriama, General Manager, Kenya Comfort Hotel Suites.
