I was in Room 303. It has a large bed, TV, desk and chair, small fridge (no minibar), luggage rack, other chair, and closet. There are no coffee-making facilities. There are no power points sufficiently close to the bed to allow you to charge your phone within reach, unless you sleep with your head at the foot of the bed. I had a view of the garden outside, which was more pleasant than, say, a street. The bathroom has a shower (no bath) and a large mirror. There was barely more than a trickle of water out of the tap in the sink. But I was only staying for one night, so didn’t bother trying to get this fixed. When I went back down to the ground level the first time, I couldn’t at first identify the door to get out. An ‘’exit’’ sign on that side of the door to the lobby would be a good idea. Presse Restaurant is downstairs on the hotel property and around the corner from the main building (the inside restaurant, not the outside one on the other side). Turn right when leaving the hotel and it’s the second pathway on the right. (Ask the security guard for directions if it’s not clear.) Like the hotel itself, the furnishings are a bit run-down, but the food is good.

The main attraction in this hotel is the pool and the garden, with animals like hens and a peacock. The food is average to good. It is a pleasure to have breakfast outside in the morning and dinner or lunch. The pool is rather large. The service is friendly and mostly professional. Rooms are a bit old but very clean. Beds are good. There is no minibar. Massage services are available. Large parking.

At first sight this hotel, in a compound surrounded by barbed wire is not very prepossessing. but it's a welcome refuge in this city. The rooms are a little dreary and the lift doesn't always work. There’s a garden and a pool to compensate. The resident peacock makes his entrance at breakfast, demanding tit bits, while more timid small yellow birds swoop in for crumbs and larger brown and black cousin’s squat on the side tables and scurry through the chairs. (I’m fairly sure these are chickens.) There are also chattering African grey parrots and lovebirds (sadly) in cages and a lonesome guinea fowl. The food is fine, though naturally not everything on the menu is available. Good margaritas, though very small ones! The staff are friendly but mostly only speak French except for one very helpful guy on reception who speaks very good English

I'm an American who visited Kinshasa for tourism (you heard it right) and my tour operator, Go Congo, uses the Hotel Invest for guests. The hotel is walled and topped with barbed wire, and there is a gate manned by armed guards; you're definitely going to feel safe. The grounds are the best thing here: utterly well-kept and beautiful gardens, grotto style tables, very good food at moderate prices (for Kinshasa), attentive wait staff (French and some English are spoken) and a nice pool. Many species of exotic birds fly and walk all around the grounds. Breakfast is included and is pretty good. They take credit cards and US dollars along with the CAF. The room was simple but had a nice shower and bathroom, comfortable bed, and very good air conditioning, as well as a small flat screen TV with foreign news and sports channels. The wifi goes down a lot, but I believe you're lucky to even have wifi in Kinshasa...it's fast when it is working. I was VERY happy with the Hotel Invest.

I stayed at Hotel Invest for six nights during a work trip. I loved the wandering peacock and exotic birds that lived on the hotel grounds. Great open restaurant and pool area. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable although the room was a bit dark. The hotel had free WIFI which worked most of the time - when it didn't work it was not the hotel's fault but a city-wide network issue. The food was tasty, staff were friendly and attentive, good selection of beers. The room price was very reasonable and it came with a free hot breakfast. Overall, I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for something a bit low-key and local (not those large corporate chain hotels), but still maintaining a high level of service quality.
