A perfect stay in Abu Dhabi! Location is outstanding, 10 min by walking to the Corniche and close to Marina mall and all restaurants. The reception manager Afzal was amazing. Very caring and helpful! Our PCR were not the the reception as the NMC promised us yesterday. He took it a step further, and emailed them abd got the tests for us and sent them to me directly. Thanks a million for having such a great person at ORYX. I would stay again and again at Oryx. Breakfast not great but all the restaurants are v close so it doesnt matter. Rooms are very spacious. Room service are slow in service, rooms were never clean on time If you want water at night you never get it😉 you can buy your own. Thank you Oryx for a great s
On my arrival to Abu Dhabi, I got a positive pcr test which means an immediate isolation. One can imagine that it might be quite a horrible experience especially when you're a first time visitor on vacation. Many thanks to all the staff at the hotel, and especially Eva, for the support and pieces of advice on what should I do next. The hotel management let me stay in the hotel instead of going to the governmental facility during my isolation period, and the staff would bring me food and anything I need right to my door. Great job in helping the tourist in distress!
Hoetl has good comfortable and clean rooms but their staff really need to be trained well. No respect in talking to guest, late response for every request. Food is horrible, which is almost same every day with limited selection. They serve the same desert in lunch and and dinner 7 days a week. The catering staff is also having similar attitude. There a pool whose lifeguard sometimes appear in resturant in shorts to help the catering staff.
Mark is racist to Africans and management is horrible and doesn’t know how manage, the manager only wants to brag about how he worked in U.S and U.K, but doesn’t actually manage hotel. Only the Morroccon lady is good, all other staff is horrible!
Arrived late the night before Abu Dhabi marathon. Oryx had clearly overbooked or let someone else in my room (claimed there was a COVID case and they had to close two floors of the hotel). No communication in advance that this would happen. I was moved to a different hotel across town, which had no parking, terrible condition and was extremely loud. This was clearly a regular occurrence as the hotel I arrived at expected me and said it happens a lot
