I stayed there for two nights on my way from Singapore to New York. It was a welcome break before and after two long flights. Reception was very welcoming and I made it to my room on the 29th floor with minimum of fuss. The room was large with a desk and a comfortable bed. The bathroom, shower and toilet were separate and very modern. The UAE uses three pin UK plugs which makes life very easy. I ate at the Balcon bar/restaurant and the meal was good. I also had a swim on the top floor which was very refreshing. Overall a very nice hotel at a reasonable price. I will stay again if I retur to Abu Dhabi

We really enjoyed our stay at the Southern Sun. Room was great, breakfast was superb with so much choice and the staff just could not do enough for us - and always with a smile. We ate in the Balcon restaurant and sat outside. Smoking was a bit of an issue - maybe they could have smoking and non- smoking areas. Food was delicious. All in all we thoroughly recommend this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Southern Sun for race weekend. The rooms have everything needed and there are multiple bars and restaurants to relax in. Most importantly was the attentiveness of the staff. They are all extremely hard working and do everything they can to make sure you have everything you need. Special thanks to Sreekanth who organised late night transport between the the track and the airport and everything went seamlessly.

Comfortable, spacious room with a good work station. Window blinds need repair and annoying water spillage onto bathroom floor from shower cubicle. All staff particularly courteous and attentive. Room very well serviced by Emmanuel. Good gym and swimming pool facilities. Overall very pleasant experience.

It’s my third long stay in this hotel and I would like to recommend it. The room is spacious, comfortable, equipped with everything you need. The hotel has several bars and restaurants, a cozy terrace in winter. Good selection of food and drinks. The hotel administrators are very polite - it is always a pleasure to contact them with any request. I would especially like to thank the Walid and Yazid. I express my gratitude to the hotel staff. They are such hard workers - they spend all day cleaning and washing things. Special thanks and gratitude to Mingma. It's so nice to come back to clean room. She is so polite and professional worker. On the downside, I would like to see a more varied breakfast. Good selection, delicious food. But in the second week of your stay you get tired of the monotony. I would like to see different options on different days, perhaps.…

Great rooms and great personalised service especially from Aravin Dilukshan from Sri Lanka of housekeeping who kept the room in tip top shape!!! Great hotel, practical location. Love it!!!!!! Atein the Foundry restaurant and enjoyed the choice of food.

Lovely modern hotel near the Corniche. Amazing breakfast with lots of choice. Decent sized pool with views over the city. We had Happy Hour drinks every night at the Balcon Lounge which had a lovely atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, arranging an excursion for us and providing information about transport around the city. Thanks to MD Ali and everyone else we met there. We'll be back!
