Stayed here for 3 nights. I was in Riyadh for a conference. I had not realised just how busy the hotels were going to be during this week, because of the conference and other events. Virtually all the 5-star and 4-star hotels in the city were sold out for my travel dates. The only rooms available were some presidential suites at ridiculous prices, far off hotels, or some apartments (which had received bad reviews). So I decided to stay at this hotel (at 3 times the usual room tariff) as this was one of the last hotels that still had a couple of rooms available. The hotel, as one would expect from a 3-star hotel, was quite basic. No separate shampoo in the bathroom, a soap dispenser each for the sink and the shower.. the slippers tore after wearing them for 2 hours, the room had a view of large air conditioning units nearby. The gym was literally 2-3 machines with no weights, and near the staff area of the hotel. The front desk staff and housekeeping, however, were quite efficient, and the room was acceptable. The location is also good. It’s next to Riyadh bank and 5 minutes walk from Kingdom Tower and walkable/short-drive from some good restaurants. Paying 5-star prices for a 3-star experience was always going to be disappointing. But I can’t fault the hotel for that. One should ensure their travel dates aren’t clashing with large events in the city.

Hotel's Favourite
I came to Riyadh for a few days only out of curiosity as flights from Budapest were so cheap I thought 'why not?. Not really knowing what to expect. I wanted to be in the downtown Olaya area but hotels there were in the £200 - £300 +++ range. Other than the IBIS which came in at £80 a night. The IBIS room was better than standard IBIS fare I have seen in the UK and Europe - ie larger, and better equipped with safe and tea & coffee making facilities. But what makes this hotel really stand out was the helpfulness and welcome of front of house staff. Nothing was too much trouble - and they were patient and courteous dealing with my various queries and requests, writing out place names in Arabic, explaining how to get to places, nearest places to buy water and snacks etc. The hotel's guests were overwhelmingly people on business rather than tourists. However, I can unreservedly recommend this hotel to visitors to Saudi Arabia travelling for tourism. I say this as a solo female traveller. Top tips: - there is an Asian run convenience store round the corner five minutes walk away that does not involve crossing roads!! - have tbe hotel breakfast as there's not much around by way of cafes etc (unless you go to a mall) - download the Kareem app (= Saudi Uber) for safe, convenient and cheap taxis - if you have a choice, avoid Room 122 as it was on the first floor and overlooked two air conditioning units and tbe wall 😉 - not that matters in the scheme of things. However, a room on a high floor with views of Kingdom Tower must be pretty awesome

Perfect location, nice staff, quite large rooms as for Ibis standards and incredible smell of old cigarettes in my non-smoking room, spreading probably through air condition system. I was not aware that there are still hotels offering rooms for smokers. For me a no-go. I will not stay there again.

The hotel is just across the street from Kingdom Centre. My flight arrived at 3am, so prior to arrival, I had asked for early check-in, if possible. I was told they could consider early check-in for me from 9am, subject to room availability. I had also requested a room on a higher floor, with a view, which I got. Room 612 had a good view of Kingdom Centre, and I didnt hear any construction noise (which is a complaint I'd read about from other guests). The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Munif at Front Desk was very friendly and always willing to help. He also helped me contact Riyadh Tours to reschedule my trip to the Edge of the World. I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Riyadh.

I have stayed in four Ibis Hotels across the Middle East in the past 10 years. Generally, they are clean, neat, functional and great value. This hotel has a great location, on Olaya Street right across from the Kingdom Center. Unfortunately, this Ibis currently suffers from ongoing construction next to the hotel, which means it is incredibly noisy from 7am every day. That's not the hotel's fault. What is the hotel's fault is that the people don't care. In the Novotel, the reception staff greet you with huge smiles. In the Kuwait Ibis, the staff remembered me from a previous visit. In this Ibis, the reception staff don't even look up from their phones. I left 10 days early on a long stay, with not a hint of a refund. Not that I expected anything special.

Our stay at this place was almost like a hotel horror movie combined with the infamous Murphy’s Law. Everything and anything related to the room and stay went wrong right from the minute we entered the hotel! The first annoyance was getting received by an extremely unfriendly and cold front office staff who dropped a shocker that our booking was canceled! And claimed they had sent a mail to us earlier regarding it. A communication we couldn't have caught as we were on a flight to Riyadh. Who cancels a booking at the last minute and informs the guest so late in the evening? The cancellation was clearly a goof up on their end (as the note read ‘canceled as per YOUR request’ ) they had canceled the wrong room after receiving a call from someone else( as the staff - Mr.MUNIF and his deputy were super confused about even how to pronounce or spell our names!) They offered no apologies for the mess up. Given it was 1 AM in the morning, we were tired and helpless and at their mercy. And I am a long-term Accor member and a super loyal guest. This is the first time I am experiencing this kind of treatment. Finally, MUNIF (the front office in charge) acted as if he was throwing us a bone and doing a favor and offered a super random room(despite the Front office Manager MOSTAFA OTHMAN having clearly communicated to me earlier via email that we would be allocated a good room upon availability, let alone getting our booking canceled!). The Room faced a huge construction site and the NOISE was overwhelming and unbearable we couldn't even sleep well as the construction was going on nonstop! We just got 2 tiny twin beds instead of a single large bed we had previously confirmed. The internet was horrible. The toiletries were of poor quality. The so-called gym was a big joke! The list goes on and on. I have stayed at so many IBIS hotels across all the continents, but have never experienced such a poor stay. I would give a ZERO STAR if it was an option. STAY AWAY from this nightmare! LOCATION: Located in the heart of OLAYA district. DINE + DRINK: Lobby-level cafe that is ok for light snacks and coffee and they also have a restaurant that serves breakfast which we didn't get to try ROOM: We stayed in Room 306, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; VIEW: Depressing view of the huge construction site; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Supe Tiny beds that made us feel bit scared of rolling out of and could barely get any sleep!; BATHROOM: Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Horrible toiletries, please bring your own if you dare to stay here! FACILITIES: A Joke of a Gym with a basic range of weights and Cardio machines SERVICE: The Biggest disappointment during our stay was the Front office staff that made our check-in experience a nightmare! Special shout to MUNIF who was anything but warm (in fact Rude for most parts!) and refused to accept the mistake they had made and kept us on edge until we were finally allocated a room almost out of pity and sympathy(from his viewpoint!! The only saving grace was the sweet front office staff in the morning who resolved our issue with a smile(I guess the name of the girl was RAHAB). Someone who could teach Mr.Munif some hospitality! HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Another big issue with this place is the SUPER SLOW WiFi (that is around 1.5 Mbps)! Certainly, not a good option if you are here on a work trip and expect to be on video calls. Plasma TV dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in multiple languages

Hotel is next to a constructionsite which will be for at least 1 year active. I stayed on the top floor but the noise at night was terrible. You cannot stay in this Hotel without sleeping with earplugs which will mute you fully. Luckily i had noice cancelling plugs so I could sleep. I was visiting Riyadh for a training course and needed a central location to explore the city, since it was my first time there. The hotel is around 30mins from the airport. Located exactly infront of amazing Kingdom Tower and mall. Although in rush hour it's very crowded but if you want to explore the area on foot, it's super easy. There is a construction next to the hotel so you might want to ask for a quiet rooms, if you are going to spend time inside during the day. The staff are really polite and helpful. Breakfast was Ok not the best but plenty of options to eat. I needed a late checkout and they helped me to stay as long as possible with happy faces. I will definitely get back in my next trip, Thank you!
