We stayed for four nights in two types of room the Kaaba view and the city view. The Kaaba view was definitely worth the money and the view was mesmerising and definitely recommended. The room size was quite big.

We booked a double room for the city view but were told the hotel doesn't have any double bed with the city view so only a twin bed configuration is possible. Unfortunately, the staff at the Accor limitless desk were disappointing and it is better to go to the reception desk for a much smoother check-in experience.

If you are staying in floors 24 and above, the lifts are a nightmare. Guests are always jumping queues. Hotel staff controlling the lifts would be nice to see during busy times to help ease out the congestion.

The light switches inside the rooms are confusing and might be useful if labelled. Instant coffee sachets and creamers are missing from tea/coffee tray and needs to be requested separately, which I found odd.

The breakfast was quite good with a wide variety of selection of dishes including live stations and healthy options. It can easily fit in to be a nice brunch.

Access to Haram was quite easy, around 8-10 mins walk from the lift to the gate. You can use the mall exit (turn right from lifts) or Ajyad exit (turn left from the lifts). They do have a musalla downstairs at the entrance if you don't want to walk

My family and I (3 people) plus our travel group (60 others) stayed at Swissotel Makkah for 5 days during February for Umrah. The hotel was only steps away from the Grand Mosque which was awesome as getting to prayers on time was quick and easy. The hotel is also directly connected to the mall which has many restaurants. Check-in was quick and easy and all the hotel staff were polite and professional. Our room had 3 separate beds, a fridge to store food and a kettle to boil hot water for tea. 5G wifi worked at the hotel without any issues during the duration of our stay. Room service would come by almost daily to refresh the towels and clean the rooms and they were polite and quick. My family was happy with the quality of the hotel and the professionalism of the staff. The hotel was also very beautifully decorated with art and furniture and in the main reception lobby was a beautiful tree filled with flowers, allowing for a beautiful photo op. The highlight of the hotel stay had to be the amazing buffet breakfast every morning. Each day there was a variety of food like pancakes, pastries, omelettes, rice, lentils, breads, salads, fruits, dips, and much more. There were always waiters on hand to serve you tea or coffee. Mr. Aznan Shariff, the Director of Food & Beverage was always on the dining area floor ensuring all guests were being served properly and the food up to standard. Mr. Abdullah Mohamed Al Safh, the restaurant manager, and Mr. Adil helped me arrange a dinner for our large group of people (60) at a reasonable price and ensured that the entire group was served properly in a private area and the food was to our liking. After booking the dinner, Mr. Adil coordinated with me and checked in daily till the evening of the dinner to ensure everything went smoothly. To top it all off, Mr. Mohamed Talaat, the Director of Operation, sent a beautiful tray of small cakes and Arabic coffee to our room as a special treat during our stay. Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations and we’d love to stay here again in the future InshaAllah when coming back for Hajj or Umrah. Highly recommended. The Emamdee family.

Can't fault anything with Swissotel Makkah during this visit. The hotel was full as it was peak season but somehow the hotel managed to ensure things operated smoothly especially the check-in process.

We stayed in a Kaaba view room and we had unobstructed view of the holy building. Some other hotels only provide view of the Kaaba roof.

We were also offered welcome drinks by virtue of my Accor Live Limitless membership. The mango juice was made from real mangoes! I was impressed.

Breakfast was superb and somehow I felt this time around the morning meal was better than the last time. Maybe it was due to the falafel. Freshly fried and even more delicious with lashings of tahinah.

Check-out was efficient too. After tawaf wada' we asked the concierge to fetch our luggage and inform the security our driver was coming to fetch us. About half an hour later we were on our way back to Jeddah.

The hotel location is absolutely amazing but apart from that I can’t say too much. i stayed in the swiss istanbul and was expecting the same. Housekeeping really needs to start cleaning the room better. They was dust everywhere like it has not been cleaned in months. I left my toiletries out and when I picked them up to pack they were covered in dust. The bathroom is tiny with a small shower which was barely hung on, again not cleaned properly the silver bin covered in dust. Bedding was fine and comfortable. Breakfast was a let down no fresh fruit they were tinned peaches and pineapples that’s it. They provided massive apples and oranges which would have been better if they were sliced up as opposed to trying to cut it with a table knife. I was also expecting fresh orange juice, but that’s not a big deal. The main issue was the cleanliness in the room. Did not expect for a 5star.

Overall a very average experience. Breakfast is average with no coffee machine, only percolated and no egg station. Same dishes each day. Cheese over in a separate station. No coffee or milk sachets in room. Only one prayer mat in room. Small rooms. Cold tap sometimes only puts out hot water making it difficult to make ablution. Okay if you are aware that this is what you will be receiving, however for paying slightly more the Fairmont clock tower is a much better option.

I chose this hotel for Omra in September 2022. As a solo traveler, the value for money (among all the clock tower hotels) this one seemed the best. I booked a Kaaba view room as I knew that there will be difficulties in getting access to Al Haram some times (due to the never ending construction) so I thought this will be the best option, and it was...

A great view of Kaaba from 41st floor and a considerably spacious room (for one person).I was greeted with a fruit platter, a sweets' platter, a dates plate, and Arabic coffee. Excellent hosting and had lovely effect.

Pros: Excellent view of Kaaba, best value for money among all the Clock Tower hotels. Perfect location for proximity from Al Haram and being in the Clock Tower complex you have direct access, through the hotel's lobby, to the mall. A nice mall (expensive, of course) and has nice food outlets. Housekeeping was good and efficient and rooms are very clean and cozy.

Cons: The hotel's lobby is Souq Okaz (A famous traditional market in the prophet's era). Tens of people talking to receptionists and hotel's staff and very busy lobby so access to elevators, and using them, is a bit challenging. My experience with reception staff (Bushra) was the worst for the hotel's staff. Even though I paid for a king size bed room with full Kaaba view, she gave me a twin bed room with half kaaba. I refused to take the room and insisted to have a full kaaba view and she, with another Filipino colleague, both claimed that as I came early (12 PM and check-in is at 4 PM) my room was not ready. I responded that I have no issue with that and that I will leave my luggage at the hotel and go and do the Omra and be back at 4 PM and get the proper room. They assured me that this would happen.
Unfortunately, nothing of their promises materialized and when I came back after 4 PM to check-in, they had left and I had to struggle with another receptionist to get a full Kaaba view room. At the end, I got the view but with the twin bed room so did not get what I booked (Kind size bed room).

The room had TWO connecting door, one on each wall. As a result, it's a sound nightmare. I was lucky enough to get neighbors with babies, sometimes in both sides, and you can imagine the sound. Another manifestation of Souq Okaz.

Also, breakfast is another clear example of Souq Okaz approach where it's hard to get a clean table and the service staff are overloaded with work so not that friendly....

In short, the best view, proximity, and best value for money. But if you need a calm hotel, don't ever go there otherwise you will be seriously disappointed...

We landed in Jeddah with a very short notice of travel and had booked a hotel online which was in the clock tower in Mekkah. As we had stayed in Swissotel earlier i had the contact details of concierge manager Mr Maqsood. I called him and asked him for helping me in booking a Haram view room. He was kind enough to assist me and to my surprise he remembered me too. I had informed him that we had a very hectic travel and wanted to have rest before going for Umrah. We were left speechless on being received with our room keys in his hands. Check-in experience was seamless. They gave us complementary upgrade to Haram view and we were in room no. 3734 with a complete view of Kabah.
We took rest for a couple of hours and before we left the room we were offered Gahwa and sweets. They were delicious and very inviting.
Our stay was comfortable through out. The staff in restaurant under Mr. Shaker was very kind and smart. They learnt our requirements on the first day and were ensuring services as per our taste for rest of our stay.
Housekeeping too was very generous in providing toiletries. We explained our requirements and we were never disappointed with their service. The linen was fresh and comfortable.
We were quarantined post turning positive for covid and the hotel gave us wonderful package for the 5 day stay which got extended and also gave us Kaba view on quarantine floor. 1534 and 1533, two rooms as my wife was negative. In room dining was very supportive and ensured that the food timings and taste needs are complied with at all times.
Overall an experience worth experiencing.

I must thank Ms Sarah, Mr, Maqsood, Mr. Shaker, IRD Incharge and House Keeping Incharge of 15th floor and 34th floor for their hospitality and care beyond excellence.

I was booked the room in swissotel Makkah for two nights I was stayed in 2328 room is too horrible not clean at all every where dusty , wall has lots of marks , furniture has lots of food & finger marks . Even bed linen not changed I found blood stains, duvet cover has horrible smell towels which they are provided too old I informed floor supervisor & room attendant while they are cleaning the room next day they reply is too shocked we have back to back arrival everyday we don’t have time to check the linen if you go we can get another guest so we don’t care talking very rude main think is which they are providing aminities has no expiry date & no manufacturing date it’s very clear they are removing the both date & year I can share the picture here you can see it I am hotelier I know the standard of 5 star hotels & all . I have work experience in room division also when I using the aminities low quality & bad smell when I using the body lotion I feel some irritation after that I check the manufacturing date & expiry date nothing is there . So 100 percent sure hotel management removing the both date & year providing the guest room you are taking more money from the guest during ramadan it’s ok so you have to give good memorable stay in your hotel to the guest house keeping management zero needs to improve more & more totally needs to change from the staff.Don’t waste your money it’s my advice to all 🙏🙏

Fantastic location, hotel is literally just over a 5 minute brisk walk to haram. Staff were brilliant; breakfast is fit for a king. We got a twin bedroom and was pleasantly surprised that the single beds were like small doubles; the only downside is that the bathrooms were a bit outdated but other than that, everything was perfect.

The main shopping centre is just over a 5-minute walk with plenty of places to eat, watch out when ordering a Biryani, a single portion can feed two people! The staff were great and very helpful; the customers who stayed at this hotel were polite and civil too.

IA when I visit Saudi again, I will definitely look to stay at this hotel.
