Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI

Makkah Towers garners praise for its prime location near holy sites and the cleanliness maintained by its diligent housekeeping staff. While the comfortable and welcoming atmosphere is appreciated, guests' opinions are divided over the rooms—acknowledged for their cleanliness and space but critiqued for dated decor and service inconsistencies. Although the staff is often commended for their helpfulness, issues with slow service and problem resolution have been flagged. Moreover, concerns regarding the hotel's value due to unexpected charges and the occasional inconvenience of elevator delays have been noted by some travelers.

Liked - The location is extremely convenient as it is so close to the haram. The housekeeping staff is extremely attentive. We stayed on the 15th floor and brother Masood from housekeeping took excellent care of all of our needs. Bin Dawood is in the building so anything you need is readily available. There are excellent food choices in the food court. There is also a great mosque on the 4th and 5th floor for men and women; with a great view for men. Never had to wait too long for the elevators. The food court was cleaner than that of the Clock Tower next door. The check in took a bit longer as we went during Ramadan, but we expected that.

Disliked · Getting to this hotel can be tricky especially around salah time as the taxis will not be able to drop at the hotel. The rooms are outdated and could be cleaner. Carpets look dirty and walls need a fresh coat of paint. We had some plumbing issues which were addressed immediately. Booking taxis from the hotel lobby is extremely expensive so we booked privately.

We stay at the Hilton towers everytime we visit Makkah for the following reasons
1.Connivence: the hotel is on the footsteps of the haram so you don’t need to rush and it makes a hectic trip like umrah more easier and comfortable
2. Rooms: although the rooms are outdated they are very clean and everything works and all the interior is in tact (no rips broken chairs etc) and the rooms are a good size. Perfect for families
3. Staff! The staff to clean your rooms are great. I want to give a special mention to Abdul Karim in tower 5 who always looks after us every visit. He’s very tentative making sure we have what we need, knows exactly what time we want
The room cleaned and always has a smile. He is a big part of why we love Hilton tower 5 (as well as the location)

Located with 2 mins walk to Masjid Al Haram. Check in was quick and efficient at reception. Stayed for 2 weeks 17-31/09/2022.
We had a family room in Tower 6, 20 floor & room no 16. It contained a kitchenette, washroom with shower and a seperate washroom as well. Provided us with a seperate bed on request as I knew sofa bed would not be comfortable.
House keeping by Ruinul and supervisor was brilliant. Daily changing of bed sheets and towels, vacumming and any request was never too much for him and always smiling. Great customer service.
Breakfast was fantastic with an array of food and service was amazing by General Manager Syed Mannan and his team. Always hosted us table with fresh juices tea and coffee. Great customer satisfaction.
Cannot wait to return at Makkah Towers and would truely recommend to anyone. 10 out of 10

I had to spend 2 hours to change rooms. I book a suite for 4000 dollars and the property is dirty when I arrived the rooms furniture had food crumbs, the sofa had white stains all over it. I can’t imagine what the rooms look like!

the hotel lifts doors where dusty for two days.

no proper ventilation system the smell of the hotel changes during meal times, every time you pass by the 6th or 7th floor you smell like a fried piece of meat.

there’s low number of staff I had to literally push the bags trolley in the middle of the reception to have them sent down to the drivers car.

I’m not sure if the hotel pays the employees low salaries but the cleaning and restaurant staff almost asked me to pay them for the work they’re doing. they actually work with an increased effort if they see you take out your wallet (just keep it out if you need something done)

with all mentioned up the only thing I got from the hotel management is we are sorry, I’m sorry for staying there if it was a proper hotel they would’ve felt bad and did something in return but like I said earlier not worth it anymore.

The location of the hotel is really good and thats the only good thing about the hotel. The hotel management is extremely unprofessional. I had four rooms in this hotel and all had problems.
The afternoon duty manager is disrespectful and arrogant. He makes sure your stay is as painful as it can be.
The hotel makes you wait to check in over it’s time of policy check in and makes you check out two hours early threatening charges, calling you constantly.
Rooms are not cleaned everyday, and even when cleaned, are not sanitised to a standard of a five star. There is no Wifi in the rooms in this day and age in a five star hotel.
Definitely skip this hotel.

We travelled from Sydney to Makkah to perform our very first umrah with my family and had an amazing experience at the Makkah hotel and towers (previously Hilton Millennium). We couldn’t ask for more as we were welcomed and served under the floor supervisor Mr Awlad Hossain. He went above and beyond to offer his services to meet our needs, especially having a 2 year old child, we needed some extra help in the room and Mr Awlad and his staff made sure we feel at home for the entire stay.

We stayed on the 9th floor, the view was amazing. We could see the haram mosque from our room, could pray and enjoy our stay to the max. Our room no was 50927. Tower 5, level 9, room no 27. I would highly recommend this hotel and if possible, get it touch with Mr. Awlad if you have any concerns during your stay.

An Excellent Place to stay with Family as it's walking distance from Haram and it's mosque is part of Haram Mosque too. We stayed in Haj during 2006 and preferred to stay here for Umra in 2020 also here for 9 nights. The administration is very cooperative too as we requested for room change due maintenance above our floor and we were immediately given a better room with Haram view. Tower 3 lift gets overcrowded during Prayer timings so people staying in Tower 3 are recommended to plan prayers accordingly , as sometimes lift waiting delay around 10 minutes.

There is a sofa in the room but you can ask for an additional bed and there is enough space for it. Although the booking application mentioned that it will be at an extra charge but in our case when we booked the room for 4 people we arrived to find an extra bed in our room without any additional charge. If you go to the hotel by the free bus from the train station then you will need to walk for a long distance to reach the hotel and if you have a lot of bags it will be tiresome. The best option is to take a taxi from the train station and confirm with the driver that he can reach the nearest point to the hotel entrance. You will still need to walk up and down some stairs to get into the hotel though.
