The Abraham Hostel made a perfect base for our first visit to Tel Aviv (travelling with our teenage son). We generally stay at good quality B&Bs or small hotels when travelling but opted for this hostel due to the excellent reviews from past guests and its convenient location. We were delighted with our choice.
The hostel occupies a multi-storey building at the southern end of the city centre and offers a range of accommodation including dorms, private rooms, and mini-suites with simple kitchen facilities. The numerous staff are helpful. Guests are from all over the world and of all ages.
We stayed in a spotlessly clean junior suite on the same floor as the roof garden. The decor was bright and modern. A simple breakfast (included in the dorm or room rate) is served in a huge common room which also offers space to relax or socialise throughout the day.
The Abraham Hostel provides almost all the support a traveller could require, including laundry facilities, travel advice, postcards and small souvenirs, shuttle buses (the Abraham Bus) to its partner hostels in Jerusalem and Nazareth, and daily tours all over Israel, the West Bank, and on to Jordan. All are reasonably priced. A secure luggage room is also available.
The hostel is well located: 5 minutes' walk from Rothschild Boulevard, 15 from the delightful Neve Tzedek district, 20 from the nearest beaches, and 30 from the port of Jaffa.
We highly recommend this excellent hostel.

I stayed at Abraham Hostels Tel Aviv in December 2019. The hostel is centrally located to most places in Tel Aviv (a 20 minute walk to the beach and 10-15 minutes to most other well-known sites in the city). There are all female dorms available which is a nice option if you are a solo female traveler looking to make new friends. I ate a typical Israeli breakfast every morning which was included in my stay. The breakfast included homemade tahini, homemade hummus, fresh bread, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, fresh pesto, cheese, cereal, coffee, and juice from 6am to 10am each day. It was the perfect way to get the day started! Abraham also offers dozens of tours that leave from Tel Aviv each day, so check with the tourism counter in the main lobby to book. The hostel also offers a shuttle service to the airport on Fridays and weekends for 70 shekels.

Needed someplace reasonably priced to stay while in Tel Aviv overnight. We were able to check in early to our private room and thus had somewhere to put our luggage while we explored a little. Love that all of our rooms (private and shared) had an ensuite bathroom. The breakfast was tasty and was a great addition. We were able to explore a couple areas of the city by walking, so the location was great. Having the luggage storage room where we could leave our luggage on the day we checked out was great since our flight was later in the evening (and we didn't have to drag around luggage with us). Staff was helpful and the bus to get back to the airport was just a minute walk away.

We had a private room in the hostel (Room 422) over New Year's Eve. The party was actually in the hostel, free entrance for hostel guests and with a huge line for people from outside (good quality of the party).
Breakfast was good, hostel stuff very forthcoming and welcoming, there was never a line on the reception desk, all questions were answered.
The room was clean, with all you need.
The main thing about the hostel is that there are some good events every evening: like cooking class, language exchange etc. So you never feel alone, can meet new people and learn something new, even if you are staying in a private room.

The Abraham was the highlight of my time in Israel. As a young person traveling with my sister, we were immediately welcomed with warm and friendly smiles. The Hostel itself is beautiful and surprisingly large on the inside. Activities are hosted daily for travelers of all ages to mingle, and rooms are very clean. HIGHLY recommend staying at the Abraham in Tel Aviv!

My 1st time staying in a hostel. I would definitely consider staying again at the Tel Aviv Abraham. Stayed here 2x over my trip. Both private rooms were basic but clean and roomy, bed was very comfortable, came with a small fridge and hot water /instant coffee/tea. Buffet breakfast was very good. Note that you wash your own plates. I did not make use of the common kitchen/fridge. Entire staff was friendly and helpful. Rooftop garden nice to relax in. Nearby to beautiful Rothschild Blvd, Leventhal market, Allenby St.. All ages, some with young children . Locked room to keep luggage before/after check in/out was very helpful.ps.. when the light rail is finally open it's literally just outside the front door, many buses run nearby. Recommend

This is one of the best hostel experiences I've had and I have stayed in countless hostels. Everything from pre-arrival communication to checkout was spot on. The majority of the staff were super friendly and helpful (you always get one or two miserable people) and they were knowledgeable and seemed to genuinely care about your experience.

The cooking and kitchen faciliies were great and constantly being cleaned by staff. The room was a good size - I was in a 12-bed dorm, but it was roomy and large enough. The showers and toilet were clean and tidy.

I didn't go on the pub crawls, but the amosphere in the downstairs outside bar was great and I stayed up late most nights chatting to different people there. I definitely preferred this area to the upstairs bar as I felt this area was a little big to socialise with people in.

The location was good. Perhaps a little far from the beach, but this wasn't a big problem. The luggage drop was handy, I arrived at 5am and left my bag there all day until I checked in. The guy went through the passport details etc. when I arrived, which saved heaps of time at 3pm.

Would 100% recommend this hostel. It wasn't the cheapest available, but was excellent.

This is the first time I have been to Israel and as a solo traveller, Abraham’s hostel made me feel so welcome. I made friends easily and managed to go on the Carmel Market tour, which was so enjoyable. I was so impressed with everything the package included. It was not only some of the best food I’ve experienced but we were given a great deal of knowledge about the area. I would only say that I wished I had stayed longer! Thank you to everyone who made my stay so lovely.

I booked a private room w/private bathroom for myself and my husband partly because we were going on an Abraham 2-day tour to Petra that was leaving from the hostel at 6:30am the next morning, and staying at the hostel seemed the easiest option. When I booked the tour, the landing page said I was eligible for a discount on my stay at the hostel, but when I asked about it at check-in, the front desk staff was dismissive and unhelpful, saying they had no control over this supposed discount. I also asked about the free breakfast, which didn't start until 7am, inquiring if there was any way to get a snack of some sort to take with us on the tour, which departed at 6:30. They were equally unhelpful with that query, saying there was no way they could provide any food before 7am because there would be literally no staff in the building (?).

The room itself was incredibly bare bones and barely clean enough to stay in, and was somehow also shockingly expensive ($289 CAD for one night). We could have stayed in a much nicer hotel for less than that price. In fact, we did cancel our subsequent stay and booked a room at a different hotel nearby for half that price. Perhaps the hostel is a good price for the huge group bunk rooms but if you're looking for anything else, look elsewhere.

Dear Marisa, Thank you for writing. We are sorry to hear about your experience with breakfast before the tour departure - it's true that some of the tours depart before the breakfast starts at the hostel and we recommend that those going on early morning tours make sure to pack something with them for the morning. We are also sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the room you booked, and hope that you spoke to our team about it to try and find a solution. Warm wishes, Abraham Team

As soon as you enter Abraham Hostel you will feel the good vibes. Staff is so nice and caring, you will be helped for every request you have.
It is situated in a vibrant neighbourhood and you can reach almost every important tourist spot by feet. I highly recommend to go for the free walking tour in Jaffa, you will learn a lot about history of Tel Aviv and see beautiful spots.
Abraham hostel is providing everything for you to have a nice and comfortable stay in Tel Aviv. The rooms are spacious and clean, the common area with bar and kitchen is a cool place to chill after your long day exploring the city. Breakfast is for free and is basic but nice.
If you are looking for a reasonable place to stay and meet nice people as well as locals and travellers I highly recommend to book your stay at Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv!

They have their own shuttle bus. You could contact them. I am not sure if their price of 180 shekel is for 4 persons or per person. And you can also try the website of Gett taxi.

Hi, I’m a male but from what I witnessed it seemed like a safe neighbourhood. In general Tel Aviv felt safer than many major cities around the world which I’ve visited. The construction is for a new Tram line but work typically happens during the daytime and the works area is fenced off at night so there is no immediate danger of falling into open excavations or anything like that if that’s what you were thinking? I stayed in a Hostel room with foreign girls and none of them reported feeling unsafe. There were also many girls at the hostel who went on the hostel organised bar crawl and walked home afterwards in the early hours with no trouble. Of course you should still remain vigilant and sensible as you normally would in your home country but honestly I don’t think you’ll have a problem.
