The Carlton Tel Aviv garners high marks for offering a good balance of luxury and value, with many guests commending its cost-effective opulence. Reviewers frequently laud the cleanliness and modernity of the rooms, not to mention the breathtaking sea vistas. The hotel's prime location is a favorite among travelers, offering easy access to the beach and local attractions.
While the atmosphere is generally praised for its contemporary feel, some guests note the pool area can become overly bustling. Exceptional service, including attentive staff and thoughtful gestures like room upgrades, is often highlighted by satisfied visitors.

Detailed Reviews
LOVED IT! We did our online research and found Carlton Tel Aviv Hotel on the Beach to be the best in terms of price, location, and reviews. On visiting, we fell completely in love and felt right at home. It is situated along the beach and yet an easy 5-10 walk to shops, bars, and restaurants. Recommend getting the beach view when booking a room and getting a suite if you plan to stay longer than two days. This made staying in on rainy days a treat! We appreciated the room service, the aromatherapy showers in our bathroom, using the spa (very small but not busy) next to the gym, trying the lunch at Lumina and cafe/bar in the lobby (serves one of the best warm apple pies outside Amsterdam- we had this twice!). The hotel does not have a luxury appearance but from the service, it offers you feel nothing less than royalty. We were impressed by how kind, polite and welcoming every staff member was- which we think is a gift when you are thousands of miles away from home. THANK YOU! Mr. Canaf at reception was a complete gem and demonstrated customer service that is hard to find. We have stayed in a few 5 stars but never had such wonderful personalized and professional customer service. It would be difficult for us to stay anywhere else but here when we visit next time. We definitely recommend Carlton Tel Aviv Hotel on the Beach!

This is a very beautiful hotel in an excellent location on the beach of Tel Aviv. Unfortunately, I was only there for 2 nights for business so I wasn't able to experience the full extent of the services this hotel offers. On arrival, check in was quick, and seamless with the staff very friendly. They did request a payment card on file in case of damages. This made sense and have experienced such requests in other hotels. However, I was disappointed to learn that they actually block out/ pre-authorise $200 on the card. I wasn't told of this and only found out once I logged onto my online banking. They should make people aware as people may choose to provide a credit card rather than a debit. The air-con in the room wasn't very good and I actually had to cool the room by having the balcony door open rather than using the A/C. Had I been there longer I would have raised this and I am sure they would have fixed.
My only slight gripe was when it came to being billed for breakfast. I was told it would be around $32 (NIS110) However, when i got billed, it was NIS140. I told them that I was told it would be NIS110 and was advised to charge it to my room and when I checkout, they will see i don't have an Israeli passport so don't need to pay tax and would then be charged NIS110. I therefore had all breakfasts charged to the room and come checkout, I was charged NIS140 for both breakfasts. I explained previous conversations and they seemed to have no idea about the tax and what other staff had told me. They made a manual adjustment and was charged NIS110, but I felt for such a big name hotel, something like this should have been straight forward.
The whole hotel was extremely clean and the food was great. The gym was small but but sufficient and the spa looked nice too. Apart from the little gripes above, I would certainly stay here again.

Amazing hotel by the beach, with a very helpful staff that made our stay something to remember. Very pleased with the room, with lots of space and confy in every way. The breakfast was very complete with options for everyone and a full selection of fruits and vegetables. Also the staff was very helpful to get us breakfast boxes for our early tours, this was a great option for us. The day we left our plane was schedule at 9:00pm, the lobby staff helped us to arrange a late check-out and gave us a room to shower and get our things ready for our long way back (22hrs). We are very grateful for the staff that made our stay a very amazing experience.

This hotel has an excellent location right on the beach and the boardwalk the breakfast buffet is also very good. The rooms are a bit outdated and in desperate need of an upgrade. But you might be wondering why I only gave it two stars. It’s because the front desk and management lied to me. We have a dispute ongoing about the actual room rate that was charged; which was much higher than what I was quoted. I was promised two times by the front desk they would never charge my credit card without calling me first. They’ve never called me they and have never emailed me. if I don’t hear from them soon I will have to contest this with my credit card company. Very Disappointed as it has placed a cloud over what was otherwise a pretty good stay

We stayed two nights at the Carlton Tel Aviv by the Marina, just before Covid 19 locked down the world. We expected a 5 star service, and the hotel lived up to standards. The breakfast was lovely as was the location.
What was particularly exceptional was the service we received from Mr Simon Massil - their assistant front manager. When we checked in, he gave us an early check in due to room availability. We were really tired from the flight and appreciated the opportunity to shower before going out for the day.
We had unusual problems with our room kettle - anything heated tasted of vinegar and hence we couldn’t use it despite washing it and trying different water sources. I mentioned this at check out and he kindly wavered one of our breakfast fees. After checkout he saw me buying a coffee from the bar and he called his staff and asked them not to charge me - this was exceptionally kind as I had not had a coffee that morning with my kettle problems.
It is the small things in life that make all the difference and Simon is an example of how staff can get it perfectly right. Thank you!

This is a very good hotel. Customer service and satisfaction is a top priority and this was evident by the almost daily chat with the Guest relations manager who asked if we needed anything and then made sure it was provided.
The breakfast buffet is typically Israeli and typically extensive. The quality of the food, the cleanliness and the staff were all excellent.
Our superior "city view" room was spacious and comfortable, if the bathroom was a little compact. The balcony was more of a shelf and the view was not something you'd spend any time looking at.
The pool and pool area were excellent, with an almost unlimited number of towels available. The beds were comfortable and ws never had to be up early to put the towels out. The lifeguards were excellent, especially Boris, who constantly ensured everyone was drinking plenty of water. The poolside bar was good with very attentive staff. Food portions were huge - we generally shared a portion of salad, or steak sandwich.
The only negative points were the lifts and common areas outside each room were not air conditioned. The location is a bit too far from Neve Tzedek or Jaffa to walk and taxis were around £25 each way. Always best to ensure they use the meter rather than just accept their "best price"

This is a hotel in a very good location on the beach with a beautiful view
For international standard, the price is way above the quality But Israel is generally more expensive than other places so this is unclear if it’s worth the price or not
The team in the hotel is generally helpful with two exceptions during my stay
One day the room wasn’t cleaned and when I complained I was told there was a no disturb sign on the door
Not only I didn’t put such a sign, there was none upon my return to the room so the motive was plainly fake
Upon my arrival from the hotel from the airport the bellboy outside did show me the relatively dirty expensive and far away parking but didn’t offer to take care of the luggage so I didn’t have to carry it all the way from the parking lot
Parking is a nightmare and I strongly suggest not to arrive with a car; it would be helpful to mention the total dismaying experience of parking a car on the hotel site ..
Breakfast is in a separate building and it’s very good although the quality has decreased some as compared to some years ago; the quality of the coffee did increase some. The team serving breakfast is superbly acting
The room is small and generally outdated, not dirty but old and tired with an old type ac that’s not only noisy but it simply doesn’t allow an auto setting of the fan
Bathroom is small and generally outdated with good quality toiletries
In summary it’s an expensive generally outdated hotel very well placed, with a reasonable breakfast, lacking a normal parking service with a generally good team of people working there. If it’s worthy or not it’s unclear to me because I didn’t try another same level hotel in Tel Aviv on the beach and an honest recommendation should be based on a local comparison; however by international standards it’s a sounding NO

Having been to Tel Aviv many times and staying at the other 5* usual suspects the Carlton is by far the nicest hotel I’ve stayed at here! No denying the rooms are tired but once you get past that this hotel is like a home from home. The incredible Breakfast buffet is served in a beach fronted restaurant. The staff everywhere are polite and can’t do enough for you. The rooftop pool is fabulous. Not too crowded and the attendants go beyond their job coming over to us every 20 minutes or so with water. Gila head of PR is a true asset to this fabulous hotel. She couldn’t do enough for us when we requested for 1 room to keep until our departure at 4pm, we ended up with the 3 rooms at no additional cost. I can’t recommend this wonderful hotel highly enough. Forget the usual suspects come to the Carlton for a relaxing spoiling experience.

We have just returned from spending two weeks at the Carlton in Tel Aviv and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The staff were all so helpful and friendly nothing too much trouble We did though have a room on the club level, with a gorgeous sea view, this gave us access to the executive lounge which we used all the time, it was open till 11pm and was well stocked with food and drinks. Breakfast was a typical Israeli one you had every choice imaginable. The pool area is not the biggest but it is well maintained and there are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, the pool attendants are constantly bringing you water and checking you have enough shade if you need it. It does however get very busy on a Friday and Saturday . The guys at the front desk seem to know everything about getting you to places and they always remembered to ask how your day had been I’d definitely stay there again

I don't know, sorry
I can reiterate that the hotel is strictly kosher. It does offer vegetarian options Cannot comment that it has halal certification - suggest you contact the hotel.
I believe Check-in time is 2:00pm and Check-out is at noon.
I don't see why not, but I would contact the hotel to be sure.
Thank you for your question.
Royal rooms can be booked on a room only and on a room with breakfast
Kind Regards
