A charming, comfortable, elegant, boutique hotel. While it is across the street from the Mediterranean Sea, it is not on the beach, but the location is fabulous! Walking distance to Dizingoff street. Not far from the old Tel Aviv Port, and a 15min walk to Carmel Market. Rooms are small and simple but very clean, good quality linens, many amenities (coffee, teas, water, safe, fridge, hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner). Umbrellas available down stairs if needed. You can ask for additional water bottle as you go off exploring. Charming breakfasts are served daily. A big selection that even includes gluten free options. In addition to buffet, can order anything from the kitchen. A 5-7pm happy hour also included with many snacks and even alcohol! (No HH on Sat).
There is no gym but theres a long running path. There is a rooftop terrace where you can enjoy a drink and a great view. There is a masseuse that comes for a few hours a day and guests can sign up for services.
One critique is each floor has larger and smaller rooms. I got the smaller room while my colleagues had the larger. While I did not at all mind the smaller hotel room, it also came with a smaller bathroom. My shower was small and larger/taller people (thinking of my son) would not feel comfortable. My colleagues in the larger room, had a larger shower and even a tub.
The service was impeccable! The staff super helpful with directions, suggestions, money exchange, taxi booking, anything you need.

My husband & I stayed here for 3 nights in January 2020. We were offered a glass of wine on check in! The rooms are very clean , there is a great selection of tolietries. The breakfast is awesome...has a menu for hot selections plus a buffet of fruit, yoghurt, breads, oatmeal, cereals, juices, seeds ..eg chia, sesame etc tomatoes, cheeses, cold meats , smoked salmon etc You can also order omelettes and other hot dishes at no extra charge. There is complimentary champage also if you like mimosa! The staff will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They put my coat in their dryer when my husband & I got caught in a heavy rain shower. There is Happy Hour in the after noon with lots of excellent food!
When we checked out , we were both given gifts of lotion & aftershave , what a treat to stay here !The location is also superb, we walked to Jaffa on the beach promenade.

This 50 room hotel has great attention to detail and creates a very enjoyable stay. The breakfast(brunch) is to die for.
Did notice the locals do not drink very much thus the happy hour is all yours.
The rooms are a bit small but very well laved out

This was a returning visit to the hotel. The staff greeted us like old friends. Our experience from the checking in with a glass of wine to the fantastic Israeli buffet breakfast Tea and coffee on tap all day. Happy hour mini buffet late afternoon. And many more little touches make this small hotel our first choice when travelling in the winter. The manager recognised us and remembered our daughter lived nearby. She looked after our every need for our personalised breakfast requests. We missed her when she took the weekend off; Thursday to Sunday morning.
The decor is nautical with white wood and strong blues is modern and homily. We had a beautiful three hours sitting in the lounge with visiting friends. Supplied with drinks and nosh by Amanda the resident chef come front desk greeter come anything we needed help with.
There is a fabulous rooftop seating area that overlooks the sea which is just the other side of the green space behind the Hilton. Lucky enough to catch a sunny spell and sat with a book and drink in between visiting daughter and sightseeing
Rooms are well appointed and continue the nautical theme colours and light. Beds are huge with beautiful cotton bedding. I found a second duvet in the wardrobe which I needed at night. Husband definitely didn’t and had the window open all night!! which is so important to us.
The hotel are currently refurbishing rooms and bathrooms which our bathroom was ready for.
If you are looking for comfort cosy and friendly I would highly recommend the Shalom and Relax.

The hotel is very close to the beach and are also happy hours.
They also give you a bag with towels and bottles of water you can take with you.

I've stayed at a couple of Atlas properties before in Israel including at the Melody right next door. Not totally sure what the difference is between these two hotels but very much enjoyed my stay at the Shalom. Breakfast was fantastic and varied, staff were excellent, location is not to be beat (right across from the beach). A couple of blocks from Dizengoff and Ben-Yehuda streets for good restaurants. The only downside perhaps is that the rooms are very very small. I had a standard which was fine for one person with not a lot of luggage but would be a very tight fit for two. Room comes with a Nespresso machine and capsules, bottled water (although perhaps they should stop providing this now), and a snack. Very comfy bed and great WiFi. Quiet too. Did not participate in the daily happy hour or take advantage of the free 15 min massage. Wonderful stay

Enjoyed the attractive décor, the bountiful breakfasts in the convivial dining room/lobby where it was easy to meet others, the charming rooftop lounge. The happy-hour featured several kinds of liquor and substantial snacks. I confess I went back for seconds and thirds, but this amenity is one of the things that make me eager to return. Please don’t change it. My favorite part was taking my snacks to the rooftop and basking in the comfy seating and beautiful sea view. The staff was exceptional—best service I experienced in Israel. Although I asked many questions before and after check-in, Ronil, Amanda, Avi, and others were patient, pleasant, and welcoming. Schmuli the guard/waiter at breakfast and the female server always looked happy to see me. Even the maid was friendly and spoke English. I’d had a tough trip beforehand, so the friendly atmosphere made a difference. The hotel was sparkling clean and well-run. It conveniently has a bus/train pass you can borrow—just add some money to it. All the rooms are different, and some are small, so don’t be afraid to ask questions about the rooms. I also stayed at another hotel nearby, which was satisfactory, but the service, food, and charm of the Shalom & Relax won me over.

Stayed there for the weekend with friends and it was an excellent stay, food was really tasty and the advantage of this hotel is the staff that go above and beyond to make your stay there as comfortable as possible. beach is walking distance away and roof top is an excellent way to relax and to close the day. another plus is the happy hour. hotel provides beach bags with towels and water bottles if you need.
Rooms are a bit tiny so you need to be aware of this.
No parking in the hotel, closest is the hilton parking that is quite expensive, around 100NIS per 24H.

ENJOY!!!

We had an excellent overnight stay at Shalom Hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the breakfast of fresh foods was brilliant and the fresh, clean decor, bright airy room and extremely comfy beds with smooth cotton sheets made it all a very good overnight stay. The location is also very good with a short walk to Tel Aviv's amazing beach.

Felt like we were in Europe!! :)
Best experience!! Thank you dear staff!
We came for one night to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The location is great, near the Hilton beach and 5 minutes walk to Dizingoff street.
The hotel and room is flawless, so clean!
We booked the superior room and when we asked for a little beach view they immediately switched our room. The balcony and the terrace downstairs are so nice and cozy.
In the room we got balloons and gifts, bootle of
Wine. We also got 15 minutes foot massage. When we left a bootle of the hotel scent . The little details is everything. The service and stay felt
Like we are in Europe .. great breakfast by the way.

There are lots of restaurants within walking distance to the hotel off the main seafront. But one of the best places is the Beach bar at The Hilton Hotel - amazing place to go and watch the sun go down, great beach vibe and the food is also good.
