I stayed here with my family and about half my guests for my recent wedding in Tel Aviv. WOW. I was really amazed by how friendly and helpful the entire staff was, and how comfortable this hotel was! Without a doubt, I will be staying here for every other visit to Tel Aviv.

Starting with the staff: Jane the maid was unbelievable and so incredibly friendly. I felt so safe having her around my things, including all the gifts and checks given to me by my guests for the wedding. I found her to be extremely trustworthy and just always around to help me with the smallest detail. Coming back to a clean room is always nice, but Jane made the room feel extra clean every time we came back. She truly was the best maid service in a hotel I've ever used.

Moti at the front desk. This guy was also integral in making my stay feel peaceful when the days before my wedding was probably the most stressful time in my life! He made it super easy for us to change rooms, and stay in the same room well beyond our checkout time with no extra cost. So pleasant to work with. Very warm and loving. If you need anything, just ask!

The facilities: Wow, okay, i felt like I was paying way more than I was for how nice the rooms were. Everything felt super high-class and elegant. The floors were all hardwood, not carpet (I hate carpet floors in a hotel room!), and the bathrooms were just gorgeous and clean. I would live there if I could!

My sister ended up staying next door in the David Kempinsky hotel. Very flashy and nice hotel. I can see the appeal of why many people would like to stay there (my sister needed a bigger room for her 2 toddler boys and baby than what was available at the opera). While they had a really nice breakfast spread, keep in mind that you're in Tel Aviv, a city full of the best restaurants! I personally would rather go back to the Opera than stay at the Kempinsky hotel if given a choice (money not being a factor).... Also, carpet vs hardwood floors.... Opera wins there for me!

My best tip is to be nice to the hotel staff, and ask for anything you may need. If they can accommodate it for you (like an 8pm checkout for your 12:30am flight, as we did), they'll do it!

It is a beautiful hotel. There is definitely a communication problem if you are English speaking and can’t speak Hebrew. The rooms are spacious. There is only a shower in the bathroom ie no bath. The shower is modern and powerful. The bathroom is separated from the bedroom with a glass enclosure. This may be awkward for some people. We had a sea facing room. The rooms that overlooked the lobby would need to have their drapes (curtains) closed all the time. The pool and deck are very small but they do the job. It is very useful to have a pool during the hot summer months in Tel Aviv. The location is amazing! It is right across the street from the beach. Carmel market is a short stroll away. There are so many eating places nearby. The breakfasts are outstanding. I would stay here again.

The rooms in this hotel are excellent - large and clean. However the hotel was lacking in service. While check in was good, at least one staff member in the lobby was downright rude. As others have noted, when we requested something basic to our room we were told to come down to the lobby and get it, and there is no room service.

At the pool area the hotel also failed to provide any security. Even though it says no smoking people were not only smoking everywhere, but there was a group of young guys playing terrible loud music and seemingly snorting coke. The hotel failed to respond

A small hotel with very friendly staff that went out of their way to make the stay very pleasurable.

Although there are roadworks outside of the building this didn’t effect the trip. The hotel is excellently positioned on the beach.

There is a small deck and very small plunge pool to sit out, all clean and modern with towels layer ready for use.

The bedroom had small faults but this didn’t spoil the trip

We spent 8 wonderful days in Tel Aviv. This time we decided for the new Hotel Opera Tel Aviv. Big lobby and very nice staff at the reception welcomed us. After 3 nights, we have got an update to a front room with a sea view. David, General Manager was very concerned about us. We felt very comfortable all the time. Our next stay in Tel Aviv will definitely be at this hotel. The breakfast offers have everything what your heart desires (everything kosher). A cook will prepare egg dishes on request. The gym also has fresh towels and water in the fridge. In the lobby there is also a business lounge with free drinks, cakes, fruit and nuts. The hotel is directly on the beach. To Carmel market - ca 15 min walk, Port : 15 min walk, Jaffa : 30 min walk ....
We have got enjoy the time, in opera hotel tel Aviv !

The lobby is extensive and can be reached directly from the car park. In the hot hours, the staff provides soft drinks and refreshments. The staff was courteous and answered any questions.
The room was very clean including the shower and toilet. There is a pampering coffee corner, and a bottle of water. The bed was wide and very comfortable. The room has a balcony facing the sea. Pleasant to sit in the morning and evening, but not at noon and in the afternoon.
Along the walls of the hotel there are pictures from the past of Tel Aviv and you can learn a little about the history of the city. The place where the hotel is located also has an interesting history.
Breakfast was full and there was nothing missing. If it's half board, dinner is available at another hotel a few minutes' walk away.
Many bus lines pass near the hotel and you can easily reach the city center, the port area or Jaffa.
In the evening it is very pleasant to walk along the nearby promenade where there are also many who do sports and other physical activities. There is the possibility to sit and drink or enjoy delicious ice cream near the hotel.
The only problem is the parking lot that is under the hotel but does not belong to it and is relatively expensive (but this is Tel Aviv ... :-( .
Overall we very much enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

This modern hotel is well situated for easy access to the beach and restaurants. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Lots of construction and road closure but do not let that deter you from staying here.
There is a wide variety of food available for breakfast .
The staff are friendly are helpful. The rain shower is amazing especially after a long tiring day. I arrived on an early morning flight and the admin at the counter assisted me with a room before the recommended check in time and ensured I was comfortable. The only disappointing part of the hotel it does not have restaurant to order food for example you cannot get sandwich for lunch or supper. Nevertheless I will definitely be staying in this hotel during my next visit to Tel Aviv.

Fabulous hotel in the best location for beaches with an amazing view from our room on the third floor. The balcony was quite big and the bedroom was large, super modern with a very comfortable king size bed. The large shower deserves a special mention and probably had the best spray head that I have experienced. Definitely a 5 star experience and will stay here again.

I made a booking on bookings.com for September 2023 - it will be my 3rd stay in 1 year . I cancelled my booking , and the Samuel Herbert confirmed that I could cancel without any cancellation fee - confirmed in writing.

It has been 5 weeks , my reservation has been cancelled , and they still haven’t refunded me ! I have spoke to the hotel , reservations and the Orchid hotel group which own the Samuel Herbert , over a dozen times - they still refuse to refund me and I have no reservation ! It is clear and simple theft!

They are indignant and show zero sign of dealing with this or refunding me for a raw ration which I no longer have but they have been paid in full !!
