Welcome to Hotel Montefiore, an oasis of style. Hotel Montefiore embodies the essence of unparalleled luxury, intimacy and exquisite style in a picturesque, meticulously restored Eclectic architecture-style edifice in the heart of Tel Aviv, just steps from Rothschild Boulevard. Built in 1922, Hotel Montefiore first existed as a private residence before its three year restoration and transformation into its current incarnation, officially opening in June 2008 on Montefiore Street in the “Lev HaIr” district, or “heart of the city.” With 12 rooms dressed in elegant dark wood furnishings, a flagship Tel Aviv restaurant and a bar serving artisanal, classic cocktails, Hotel Montefiore satiates every desire.

I heard a lot about the hotel and had great expectations but it was very disappointing. The bar and the restaurant are trendy and very animated at night, but the hotel part needs to be refreshed (it was renovated in 2008). The decoration is not up to date very "masculine", and many details are not at the level expected for this standard. Service is lalso somewhat unprofessional, it seems that the staff doesnt care at all about customers, they are talking and joking between themselves, I never felt "at home" nor welcomed. My advice: go for a drink or dinner but do not stay at the hotel.

This hotel was for my needs. It has an elegant, charming style in a renovated colonial building. The rooms are well thought out with a carafe of free filtered water, very comfortable bed and a leather arm chair with ottoman to relax in. Mini bar and in room snacks have some amazing options from local vendors. The restaurant is very very good and I had several dinners there and breakfast everyday. You should make reservations as it is totally unreasonable to expect a small hotel with a small but outstanding restaurant to set enough tables aside for hotel guests who want a table just a few hours before dinner and room service is very good and a good option. The area is great and you great free gym passes to a local gym. It’s true that the front desk is often very busy with the restaurant but they are also very efficient. I’m an independent traveler so I don’t have many needs from hotel staff but the few times I needed something they were very helpful. In my opinion with the ability to make reservations for local restaurants online, apps for cabs and so much information online regarding local sites the need for hotel staff assistance isn’t what it used to be. So this hotel was perfect for me but if you are looking for common areas or a roof top this is probably not the hotel for you. There are a few chairs in the lobby that one can sit in for a bit but that’s it. However if you want a beautiful hotel in a very nice area with great food, atmosphere and an outstanding staff this hotel won’t disappoint.

Perfect. Good location, colonial-style decoration. Rooms very nicely decorated as well. Continental breakfast was very good. Try the restaurant, it is amazing. Staff was very welcoming, and answering to any inquiries on the spot (e.g. iron and table). I’ll definitely come back, and I strongly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed the boutique feel and vibe of this hotel. A bit different than other boutique hotels in that the front desk is very busy during lunch and dinner handling the restaurant. Our room was spacious. Location is great as you are close to restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. Breakfast, although not fast, was excellent (and not the typical buffet). Highly recommend.

Don’t be put off by the approach, where a lot of work is going on, this is a destination well worth the visit. We stayed in the hotel, and ate in the restaurant, both are impressive. The overwhelming feeling is one of young people having fun. The rooms are well set out, clean and well supplied. The restaurant is excellent. The staff, - all young, helpful and enthusiastic, - just add to the experience. The overall feeling is ‘fun’, ‘chill and enjoy yourself’. We did. Thank you.

The heating in the room was out of order. The room was freezing cold, with no alternative heating. All that was offered was another blanket, which was not sufficient. While I was getting a cold, I got nothing but useless apologies. Stay away if your health matters to you.

We celebrated a birthday there. A charming renovated hotel true to the eclectic style it was built in the early 20th century. We had a lovely welcome and outstanding service all day long. The room was meticulously clean and quiet, furnished with a great taste with many touches that gave it a feeling of uniqueness. The bathroom was specious and had all needed utilities. Beds were super comfy. The breakfast was served to the table, for us it was great. Great location, I had a long walk in the area which was wonderful. Many Cafes and restaurants nearby. We did not try the hotel restaurant but heard good reviews about it. We are already trying to book a room in the future, not an easy task!!

In the lobby of the hotel there is the hotel's restaurant and bar.The restaurant is marketed as a french Vietnamese fine dining. We were seated on the entry balcony which was crowded and not very comfortable..the lobby wad extremely noisy. The menu is small but each portion delicious. The waitress knowledgeable and helpful from cocktails through the entire menu. Service is EXTERELY slow. Food makes up for it.

Perfect location in residential/business area with lovely, well proportioned rooms, this place has perhaps the buzziest hotel lobby of TLV. The bar/restaurant/lobby is full all day with hip, attractive and friendly locals and visitors. The staff are outstanding, hugely engaging, competent, pro-active. There are so many staff members, and yet they all manage to be personal and attentive. Tasteful rooms, lovely bathrooms, everything in its place. High quality linen, pillows and mattress. Huge shout out to Mika, who handled the early shift beautifully, and to Neta, who helped me with concert bookings (not so easy without a local ID and mobile number). Perfect if you want to discover Rothschild Ave, the Bauhaus buildings, downtown TLV. Not suitable for those seeking a beach holiday.
