The hotel is a short walking distance from the Old City and just steps away from HaTachana, the city’s first-ever train station which has since transformed into a lively district of designer boutiques, galleries, trendy cafes and restaurants. The hotel's design, inspired by the past, and guided by the future, features 243 beautifully-appointed guestrooms and suites in its newly constructed central building, as well as a selection of opulent accommodations inside two expertly preserved Templar Buildings from 1882 and 1883. We checked in to the hotel for a 2 night weekend stay. We had booked a room with an Old City view. Unfortunately, the view was of another hotel opposite, the First Station and the Mount of Olives. If I leaned out if the window and looked left I could see the Old City. The room was very tastefully furnished, with a comfortable bed and spacious bathroom with separate bath and shower. The hotel has a shallow indoor lap pool, next to a well equipped gym. There is an outdoor infinity pool on the roof with amazing panoramic views in 3 directions. It gets windy up there and the pool was very cold. There is an indoor meat bar on the roof, which we went to, but left soon after as it was freezing at night. I would recommend improving the heating in there. Breakfast was a very high standard with an excellent selection and high quality. Hot drinks and eggs are served to the table. Dinner on Friday night was the best I'd ever had. There was an extensive selection with very good meats in the carvery. The food was further enhanced by the excellent service by the dining room staff. We also enjoyed treatments in the spa. The spa receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The lobby bar serves good cocktails and food. The staff in the hotel are very service oriented, from the room cleaners, to the reception staff (apart from one rude receptionist). Fadi at reception ensured that the guests got the best service and should be commended.

Terrific hotel stay! The Orient is well kept, clean and beautiful. The room is spacious and bathroom luxurious. Fitness and pools are top notch and immaculate. Friendly staff and large property with indoor and outdoor spaces. Good Wi-Fi. Near great restaurants but not in the center of the city. Doesn’t have international outlet/ USB charger in room

Family group of 11 stayed for 3 nights over Pesach. Check-in was outstandingly good; attentive, informative and helpful with personal requests. Buffet meals were scheduled over the holiday period; they were eye-wateringly expensive, but the dinners were top quality, lunches a little less so. Bedrooms were great. Big comfortable beds, good linen, well fitted bathroom with a better than expected rain shower, good toiletries, Nespresso, robes. The one downside is the relative lack of public area for such a big hotel, especially in the evening when the rooftop pool is closed. In summary an excellent city centre hotel. If you want staid and dignified stay at the King David. If you want modern and vibrant stay at the Orient.

We stayed here for 3 days. The front desk staff were very efficient at check in and very friendly when we had questions., Mor and Ibrahim were quick to help us. The buffet spread at breakfast is incredible, selections cater to vegans and vegetarians. The staff come around asking if we need more coffee or want to order an omelette. The location is very close to the train station and the old city. There is a park nearby where you can go for a relaxing walk or run. Turn down service staff are great. Our coffee machine was leaking and the staff replaced it immediately. For those who need a Covid test, the Super Pharm in the Mamilla mall which is a short walk provides both PCR and Antigen tests. Roof top pool has great views of Jerusalem. The bar opens at 7 pm.
