The rooms are located right in the center of Ben Gurion st., which is a great location. Check in/out and breakfast are provided by the Colony hotel across the road (decent breakfast). The standard room is extremely small and not suited for a couple, in my view. The main issue is the bathroom - it is extremely small, and the water pressure is very low. There are not enough hot water for two people, we had to wait about 30 minutes between showers to have enough hot water. The owner is not there, and there was a homeless sleeping in the staircase... Not likely to come back , but if you are looking for a cheap room (which was not that cheap, as it was the holidays time), this might suit you.
We stayed overnight at Atelier and found it to be the perfect place. The room is charming, comfortable, and special. The building is classic and centrally located. The overall experience is exactly what I love about travel - seeing a culturally and geographically unique place and feeling a part of it all. This place is unforgettable, in the best way possible. Kudos to the owner! Kudos to the interior designer!
Hello, the stay was one night and the location was perfect. No need to take the car. But there is no security or front desk and breakfast. For these you need to cross the street to the other hotel of the group (colony).
Clean, cozy, old style furnished room located at an old renovated building at the nicest location in Haifa. Has a nice balcony with 2 chairs and a coffee table. Check-in is handled by the Colony Hotel across the street where breakfast is also served as well. Free parking is available at the main street IF you manage to find an empty space. Room is not very large but easily fits a seating area in front of the TV, has a small mini bar with free water and some juices, AC and a comfortable Queen size bed. Nice owner that can be reached anytime if you have any inquiries. Really luxury rooms compared to other accommodation on the same street. Very much recommended.
I was not planning to stay at the Atelier Luxury Rooms but was bumped from the Colony Hotel across the street because Booking.com, which is TripAdvisor's new partner overbooked that hotel. Finding the Atelier was a little bit of a challenge because it was not well marked - there is no lobby so checkin is handled elsewhere. Although it was indeed luxury in some ways, for example, wonderful old pictures and objects decorating the rooms and an early 1920s kind of feel, some of the most important features were missing. For example, there was no fixed shower, only a massive bathtub in the main room next to the bed with a hand shower and wrap around curtain. The door had a window over it that had no covering so the hall light shone brightly all night. Same for the balcony door. For a single person the bathroom was fine, but the wall separating it from the bedroom is only about 8 feet tall so open to the bedroom. No privacy if you are sharing with a partner. Overall, there were some nice features and it was quite a novel experience but not being able to sleep in a dark room and take a normal shower were pretty big detractions.…
