I stayed here last night while my husband was in hospital. Locatex in rundown area of Haifa, lobby up 2 flights of steps. Receptionist friendly but had no clue where to order food. Showed me to room which smelt mouldy, blanket stunk as did the pillow cases, hole in door of toilet. To sit on the toilet you had to leave the door open. Hard to sleep as all I could hear was pedestrian crossing beeping all night long. When I left early the following day took ages to get out of the main door. Cheap place to be avoided at all costs!
The prices were pretty good, the location is good and walking distance from the bars and restaurants area at the port and also walking distance from wadi nisnas. The rooms were clean and shower was good, old building with atmosphere
I spent one night with my girlfriend. A staff member knocked on our door the next day at 12:28 PM, saying we overslept (checkout's at 12:00) and that we have 15 minutes to leave, she asked for the key (while we were still packing) we didn't argue. She came back 5 minutes later, while we're finishing up packing and told us we have to leave immediately, basically kicking us out aggressively, while insisting to stand in the room until we leave, it felt like she was trying to unjustifiably humiliate us. She called the supervisor and lied to him about us being an hour late (it was still 12:35) and then she slipped a racist remark, which led to a heated argument and a really negative experience on a supposedly nice morning. Definitely not going there again and I do not recommend anyone to go there and I'm considering suing them.…
The description and pictures are much nicer than the hotel actually is. The building is on a corner of a noisy street, windows not insulated. The mattress was worn out. A light in the hallway was on all night and there is a window above the door. On the positive side, we arrived late at night and there was a receptionist to meet us. But this is not a refurbished old building as it appears on the website
We stayed on the 4th floor and had to drag our suitcases up 4 flights of stairs. The rooms were fine but our shower leaked onto the bathroom floor. There was a very nice balcony on the 4th floor that we used. The staff was friendly. This hotel is about a 2 star hotel. The 4th floor also had an inside lounge area which was beside the balcony. The rooms were small but had a nice closet. There is no free breakfast. There is a breakfast in another hotel for 75 shekels which we heard was very good but its expensive.
