Location is perfect: just 5 minutes walk from Taksim (metro station, airport shuttle bus) and 3 minutes from Istiklal street. Hotel is very small, room is small too, but it is very clean and cosy. Great place to stay for few nights. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Bunkahaus is a small hotel but it's really worth the price.Affordable and clean, the bed set is so comfortable. They also have free coffee and tea in the room. The place is right at the center in the quiet street so you can be sure you will have a good sleep. Hotel staff is nice and friendly, breakfast is great too.
I would say the hotel is very unique with Japanese style. Ali The guy in reception is an very helpful and helped me and my friends with many things around istanbul. The Japanese restaurant is delicious must try. Rooms are small but the prices are responsible for them. Overall I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and definitely will come back. Br, Rami mohammed
Stayed here in January 2015 and had a very pleasant stay. The location is smack dab in the middle of the city in an unbeatable location by Taksim Square. Located right by the subway station and bustling shopping street, the location is full of great restaurants, cafés, bars, fashion/clothing, etc-- really anything you can imagine in a big modern city. The staff at Bunkahaus were extremely helpful in giving us tips on how to get around and organize some of our sightseeing (like what order we should see what in) based on the locations we told them we'd be visiting. The hotel has a really charming Japanese theme and its own sushi restaurant next to the lobby. Our room was beautiful decorated and was small but cozy. Considering we were in the middle of a city, we didn't have any problems with noise at night. Free wifi as well! I'd love to go back to Istanbul again someday, it's a great city and I loved the culture. While I love checking out new places, I'd very tempted to stay here again on my next trip. The location is just so amazing and the prices very fair. I would give them 5 stars, but my reason for not doing so is only because the rooms were a bit small and I could see potential for it feeling crammed if you were on a longer stay. Really great place overall, we were extremely pleased and would recommend it any type of traveler- couples, families (if there's no more than 2 people to each room), friends, solo travelers, etc.…
A beautiful tiny hotel in a very quiet street that is a couple of minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Istiklal avenue. The owner and all the employees are extremely sweet. The rooms are extremely clean (I'm very picky). Breakfast is basic but tastes great. I have recommended this place to everyone I know.
Small rooms, friendly stuff willing to help you with their poor English, very clean, excellent breakfast small variety but tastie, central located close to sight seeings next to Taksim square and istiklal, metro station 1 min walk. Hotel located at Secure area .
Small unclean hotel Small restaurant Small left Very bad staff and unhelpful always angry Only the location is the good thing in this hotel They will close the door of the hotel at night and you have to wait until the receptionist wake up and open the door Don't go there
very nice and neat hotel with the best location close to Istiklal street and restaurants breakfast was acceptable in compare with that you pay nice and sweet staff but the room was too small for two people there was no enough space for our baggage (two medium) so book their bigger room with a little more price and enjoy
Centrally located, this hotel is ideal for the traveler who is looking for a budget hotel where location is of prime importance. The hotel room was very small, and more a single room than double room. Being July it was hot but the air conditioning worked fine. Minibar and free water in the room. The room was clean. Bathroom was clean, and suitably equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is extremely basic, very little to offer, except some bread, one type of cereals and coffee/tea. There were no staff in the breakfast room, so this was probably the major downside to the stay. If you arrive at night be advised that the hotel is located in a very noisy and busy part of the city, with lots of people in the street. It can be a struggle to get to the hotel if you have to walk with luggage. Keep an eye out for pick-pockets. Good wifi connection throughout the hotel. All in all a reasonable hotel for the price, and taking into account the prime location. …
Staff are incredibly sweet and kind. They will try to help you out at any situations regarding your trip, even if it's not directly related to your stay at the hotel. Everything else were all perfect too. The location is convinient, right near Taksim square, so no trouble finding it when you get off the bus from airport. And the room was one of the cleanest I ever saw in my life. Literally spotless. Rooms are actually very small, but if you see the condition you will not complain.
