Getting there
Great for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
We were 5 families and had 10 rooms between us on floors 1/3/4.
I stayed at this hotel during Covid and things have changed a bit since then.
The best thing about this hotel is its location- close to Sirkeci- Eminou ferry port and Gulhane. It is also spacious and has large lobby unlike other hotels in area. The hotel has lifts and a sauna/pool in basement and a small circular rooftop pool.
However, when booking, please check what rooms you are booking- adjoining rooms could mean 2 rooms opposite each other and no connecting door. Economy rooms have no window and are completely dark- you can’t tell if day or night- room 105 and 106- I did book adjoining rooms with view and this room had no view- I raised this and was told nothing is available. Anyhow we made do.
Breakfast was cereal, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, tea and coffee, with sliced small round baguette bread with jams.
Some of our rooms have bed bugs too- pics attached- but I didn’t have them in my room.
Showers were hot and fast.
Guzra as customer relations is good but this is only effective if you take customer complaints seriously

The fundamental feature is the optimal position for visiting all of old Istanbul on foot (Topkapi, Hagia Sophia, blue mosque, cistern, bazaar, etc.). You can get there in just 10 minutes. Tram stop 1 minute away to reach all other areas of the city. We took an economy room so we had few expectations since it was the least expensive. The room was overall nice, clean enough, but very small for a couple and practically without windows (a very small one in the bathroom and one overlooking a corridor with other rooms). Zero light. Very rich breakfast, especially the international one, the sweet Italian one very little (bread to toast with jams, butter and hazelnut cream, and some mini sweets). The spa is accessible for free but one room was not working and the hydromassage had cold water. Overall, if you don't plan to spend many hours in the room, the solution is advisable, especially due to the position.

Stayed here for May 1st holidays. Location is good, close to the station and sightseeing spots. Staff was nice and helpful. We requested to change the room because the sink was broken. They immediately offered us a different one but it had tiny windows, another one wasn't available so we decided not to hassle with it anymore. Breakfast was good. Rooms are quiet enough for a good nights sleep. I had issues with bed sheets which had yellow spots, were worn out and had holes on them, asked them to change it, they did. Needed extra pillows which they brought us. Even though we had a room with a balconette across from us there was an abandoned construction site. Also couldn't figure out whether they changed, on a daily basis, dirty/ used glasses and cups in the room because they were not placed in the original position so I kept washing them by myself (bummer). Overall my impression is that I never had so many questions and requests for basic stuff to be rectified. Felt they never should have allowed for some things to happen to guests like those stained bed sheets.

Factory hotel! The queue for breakfast with very industrial products and nothing very fresh. The bread is dry, the buffet quickly becomes a mess and the service is poor... we waited for a good 10 minutes for coffee cups and glasses for fruit juice. The rooms advertised on the site are supposed to be large and spacious… we took advantage of an “offer” on the internet for the room at 110 euros instead of 438 euros. It was definitely a scam because our room (207) had no windows and was very small, with a rusty shower and ants in the bathroom making a trail! The only positive point of this hotel is the location. Even the pool area is disappointing. The swimming pool is very small, not equipped (only 3 or 4 deckchairs lying around) and the bar is closed! In short… it’s a dormitory hotel for undemanding tourists.

We arrived very late and were quickly shown to our room by a very friendly member of staff. The rooms are very small with a tiny bathroom but they are ok and really clean, we liked the fact there was a kettle with plenty of tea and coffee which is unusual in many city hotels abroad. What makes this hotel is the location it is so central and the staff who are brilliant, our waitress at breakfast and the restaurant manager were so professional and couldn’t help you enough. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice, some fussy people would turn there noses up but I thought it was great. I would highly recommend this hotel. The only downside was even in April the room was hot, the air conditioning was not turned on yet so we had to sleep with the window open which could be a bit noisy.

The room especially small and uncomfortable, lack of cleaning, we moved the table to put the suitcase and came out nuts and a lot of lint. At 8 a.m. they start drilling into the neighboring building and literally drill into the headboard of the bed. The breakfast was very good. The last straw... arriving in the afternoon after spending all day outside and we found the door open and none of our stuff called an employee and told us that we've been changed rooms because of a plumbing problem, to check well in case something's been left, I go to the bathroom to look and all my toiletries are there, within reach of anyone who walks by. Avoid this hotel

Pillow are very low quality with different pillows on each bed. Also the mattresses are poor and are already deformed and seems old. Also they switched off the AC everytime their is an electrical load and we had to stay for 12 hours without ac in the room so we had to go out They claim that they have a technical problem yet I did not believe it because they used to switch the AC while we were sleeping many times and we had to re switch it on from the room. Unfortunately the hotels in turkey lack professionalism are not as rated The 4 stars are actually 3 Some rooms sizes are very very tight just to create additional rooms and this is not a 4 star hotel for sure Also the breakfast is the same with minimal daily change and options and no fresh juice . What is rewarding is the location and nothing else

Horrible holiday experience. The staff has an arrogant attitude, and everything else was a nightmare. There was construction work right in front of the hotel, causing a lot of noise. The advertisement was misleading. Stay away. The WiFi was very slow, there was no air conditioning, the room was very small, and it did not meet the promises made. They even provided a single bed for the kids. Don’t even think to get Manager he is worse.

The hotel is deceiving. The room was booked 2 months before arrival. When we arrived, they started telling some nonsense about the breakdown and that only tomorrow 40 rooms would be available, supposedly right away at 6 am literally at their place. They tried to move me to a hotel of a lower category. The manager was not on site. We managed to cancel the reservation with difficulty, we are now waiting and hoping for a refund to the card.
I do not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!!

the 2 stars are only because of the really good beds and the cleanliness of the room. On arrival we were accommodated in a room without windows, which was also very noisy, we booked another category. When asked on the first day it was said that this could be resolved with our tour operator and nothing else was free. After further consultation on 2 February Day then a change of room was possible. Bathrobes didn't make it to our room until the last day (we got one on the 2nd day). Day by the cleaning lady), despite daily demand no one felt responsible. Staff very unfriendly and unhelpful. Breakfast was so not to our taste, not once were there fresh rolls, generally everything (fruit, vegetables, ...) made the impression of not being fresh anymore. Location of the hotel is very good, many sights nearby. Conclusion: good location, good beds but that was it.
