I was recommended this area on my flight. Pays to be friendly, this is one of the most beautiful, charming rooms. I read in another review, “go out the door, turn left, left again and you are in Taksim. What they didn’t tell you is within 50 ft, but the fortune teller sign is an elevator, spiral staircase to a terrace (Symbol cafe) ! The most beautiful views of Istanbul. About the hotel, clean , charming and a staff that is so responsive and helpful. Scan the QR code and communicate via Whatsap. They even arranged a PCR test for my flight home. Enjoy, Explore, Embrace my Friends. ✈️

Hotels in a great location, just round the corner from Istiklal street. Come out the hotel, take a left and left again down an uphill side street passing really cool quirky shops and then opposite comes maddame tussauds on Istiklal street. Hotel has free WiFi, 24 hour front desk, exceptional staff. The staff really do the hotel a lot of service and make the stay really nice. They also can arrange an antigen fit to fly test fir 350tl per person. A staff member comes from a clinic to do the test and you get the results same day within 6-12 hours! And then send the results via pdf to your whattsapp and they will also print for you too! It's so good. We had some errors on our antigen results such as the date of birth. I told the front desk and they contacted the lab and they updated accordingly within 30mins. It really was a good service. The hotel rooms are lovely and spacious, with tall ceilings which give the rooms a really airy, fresh and breathable feeling to them. I have stayed in other hotels and I've felt very enclosed. The lift is glass so you can see out of it which was nice. I've never been a fan of lifts but this lift is touch buttoned and glass so you can see out of it. The hotels constantly mopped and cleaned and has marbled and tiles floors. I really did like my stay here. The rooms are a little worn and tatty in some areas. The balcony is really good and due to the big tall windows lots of natural light comes in. They have a TV but non of the channels are in English other than a news channel. Room has a fridge, lots of hangers and hanging space, and the pressure of the shower was really great too. I love the fact that turks have a bum shower in all their toilets! I need one for my house.

I highly recommend this hotel for business or pleasure. I traveled alone to Istanbul my first time ever on business for 2 weeks and it felt like my home away from home. The staff was very kind and accommodating for all my needs. The location is amazing! I literally walked everywhere in the city. It’s very central and I felt very safe. The restaurant on the top level of the hotel - Terrace 41 offers fabulous dishes - very tasty and so convenient. Plus - that rooftop view of Istanbul is priceless. There are so many great restaurants in the area and the Main Street Istiklal is literally a 2 minute walk away. The hotel is very clean well-kept and so comfortable. My room was spacious and luxurious with a balcony and window that i can open for fresh air. I want to say Thank you to the staff of the hotel and restaurant for helping make my stay one of the most memorable, remarkable trips in my life. I worked and also was able to explore this beautiful, ancient city.

Pros -The building itself is beautiful and the rooms have a lot of character -Ok budget option if your limit is 50USD/night. If you can spend more, don't stay here -Views from the rooftop restaurant are gorgeous -Most reception staff speak English -Good location Cons -Wifi didn't work half the time and the other half it was very weak -Room was always humid and warm because the A/C did not work properly -Most staff lacked showing basic courtesy to guests and didn't seem to have basic training in hospitality -Phones in the rooms don’t work so the hotel has a system where guests must use WhatsApp to communicate with reception staff. The problem is that they have so many different reception staff taking turns with the front desk shift, that they don’t seem to be able to keep track of following up and answering requests from guests -The electricity went out each time I tried to use the tea kettle provided in the room -Rooms are hot in summer yet beds only have 1 heavy comforter - no top sheet -Cleanliness: When I got to my room, there were hairs on the bed, a make-up smudge on my pillowcase, and the toilet visibly dirty -I asked reception staff if I could change rooms because of the problems above but no one ever followed up with me during my week+ stay here

I reserved this hotel because room looked nice on photos and price was discounted. I also thought hotel had historic touch. Rooftop bar could not hurt either. And I have to say rooms look significantly better on photos. They are tired, worn, and I'm not completely sure they're clean enough. Staff was okay. You could notice they're not trained. Guys working on the reception were fine. Breakfast was okay, although there were some problem organizing it. Location is fantastic. 4 star hotel I think, but overall, they're more on the budget side than mid range.
