Hotel reservation was made by travel company as part of their package , the location far from center and you need to walk like for 1 km to the metro station, the staff were not that friendly personnels and we barely saw them smiling, house keeping was the worst, although we asked for cleaning the rooms we only got them making the beds , not recommended and over priced ,
Mrs İrem ankara and mrs anita Thanks for the gentel reciving and for being helpful , im really grateful for all the services and kidness from the workers . I had a couple of hours overnight before a connecting flight. The staff were very helpful and the was room clean, spacious and well prepared for my needs for the few hours. The bed was clean and comfortable. I didn’t sample any food so can’t comment on that.
Chose it as it was right adjacent to my business meetings. Was attracted by the marriott name hoping for marriott standards. I was given a large nice room BUT with a dirty bathroom with clear urine staines all over the toilet seat. Asked to get it cleaned it took them literally 1.5 hours. Had to wait so long to use the toilet and it was already late in the evening. Breakfast room was also dirty. Had to wait for a long while to get the table cleaned. Poor food quality, stale bread. The experience was repulsive. I cut my stay short and checked out the next morning and they refunded me the other prepaid night. They do have however a good turkish hammam (managed privately). No i would not stay there again.
I want to reserve in spa I went pay money no info because they don’t understand English or Arabic I said ok Then in the same hour I want to change they refused they said no change this time or no money back Once we get the money no return Then the next day I want to my appointment they said it is full you can not use it now ???????? My appointment time No money back and I couldn’t use the spa in my appointment!!!!!!!!!!!!! So stupid Please do not spend money on spa just go out side No mangers to speak with
Delta Halic opened in 2019 and I was aware of some sub-par reviews but I wanted to try it and see with my own eyes. My quick takeaway is that it felt only partially integrated with the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program and has room for improvement regarding service. I saw in the Marriott app that was pre-upgraded ahead of time to a suite but apart from that, the arrival at the hotel was a little rough and felt more about checking into an independent local hotel rather than a Marriott chain hotel. First off there was nobody to help with luggage as I got out of the taxi and to make matters worse there were about 8-10 steps to climb to enter the hotel, which gave an initial feeling of select service rather than full service hotel, which the Delta brand is supposed to be. I showed my ID at front desk and they could not find my reservation; they asked me if I booked on some platform that I had never heard of (I simply booked on Marriott’s website). I showed them my reservation on the app and I even showed them that I had a specific room number assigned to me already so clearly someone at the hotel was expecting me. Finally they found the reservation but told me that my breakfast was not included. I asked them to double check that Ambassador Elite guests do not get breakfast and after a phone call they apologized, my breakfast was included. Once I arrived in the room it felt more like Marriott amenities because there was a generous fruit plate and bottle of wine as a welcome gift; many other Marriott chain hotels have cut back their welcome gifts recently such that I don’t get a bottle of wine very often anymore – Delta stood out positively in that regard. The room was fine and was obviously new; I liked that the living area did not have carpet. The air conditioning worked well and unlike some other hotels where I stayed recently which were too hot, they did not deactivate air conditioning with the change of season so I could have a comfortable night of sleep. The room was very bright thanks to floor to ceiling windows on the entire length of the wall. That said, at 40 sqm their suites are not very big and would be better described as large(r) corner rooms, or a junior suite at best. The bathroom was the weaker point of the room with a cheap brittle shower and unknown local toiletries I had never seen before. The working desk was also a bit awkward because it was in the middle of the room and the entrance door lock seemed to be stuck so I was unable to lock the entrance door. Also the door of the safe was open when I arrived and the lock was activated so there was no way for me to close the door and use the safe for my belongings. Location was not a strong point of the hotel – I cannot imagine that there are many international travelers that would find an advantage of staying in that area. Normally hotels which are not close to premium areas come with a location discount but Delta did not, at least not for my dates. There was a lot of ongoing construction in the area so perhaps this neighborhood will be more attractive in the future. Service left to be desired and not on par with a full-service Marriott hotel. First of all they were not monitoring the chat feature in the online app – I never received an answer to my questions. Housekeeping came knocking on my door before 10am (and again at 11am) on the day of check-out despite the “do not disturb” light being turned on - they had no reason to go in to clean the room until being instructed that I had left the hotel already. Perhaps unsurprising given the non-tourist neighborhood, but English skills of staff on property was a clear notch below other Marriott properties where I stayed at before. There was one receptionist would could speak better English than others, but since some guests were not understood by the other staff they all had to referto her so there was a “queue” for one staff while other staff were unoccupied. There was nobody manning the reception desk of the restaurant which was packed during breakfast with almost no tables available so I just took one of the very few which were available. The buffet was entirely self-served and food quality unquestionably below Le Meridien where I stayed immediately before Delta with a very similar room rate (and where the buffet was staff-served). At no time did someone come to my table to offer me a drink – the only staff I noticed were those clearing the tables. To the hotel’s credit, service does not seem to be a lost cause because at least upon check-out they asked me if I had a nice stay and I gave them my honest feedback about the service issues that needed to improve and they were receptive to my opinion. Overall I cannot recommend this hotel for the moment. The hardware has some strong points but given the location, service, and the price tag, for now there are many other hotels which provide better value for the money. It is not hopeless however so I could consider returning in the future if certain weaknesses improve.…
staff are horrible and inhumane psychologically not right in the head. Was S harassed by security. At 2am as I complained to reception there was too much noise coming from next door and I need to sleep as I have surgery at 5am and my baby will wake up and the rest of kids. They sent security who checked if any noise was coming etc he asked for my phone so he can translate as he couldn't speak English and asked where was my husband and stroked my face saying how beautiful I was. I ended up throwing him out complained but all staff took his side and black listed me from hotel I ended up going to police filed a complaint who took it very serious and just waiting on outcome DONT come here on your own they capable of anything false accusations and s harassment too.
As a Marriott Titanium member, I was getting a complimentary upgrade to a king suite. Kudos to the staff for Marriott loyalty acknowledgement. Suite is clean and spacious. One thing I would like is to have the curtain to cover the entire room. The curtain seems only cover half of the room as sun comes out and room gets hot easily. The breakfast spread was decent with few hot (eggs served in different ways, fries, chicken nuggets and sausage etc.) and local items. The location of the hotel seems in a booming area. Few construction is going on right now nearby the hotel, including M7 line, which could be a great way connecting to the tourist area in a near future. Currently the easiest way for me to go around the city from the hotel is to take Uber/taxi (40-70 lira to most popular area). Staff were all friendly. I was traveling from US and forgot to bring the adapter, and I was able to get multiple plugs from the front desk for all my electronic devices right away. Overall I had a very pleasant stay with all the service provided!…
I stayed at this beautiful hotel for a weekend escape. Brand new hotel with friendly staff, room was nice and clean. They allowed me to check in early and check out late. Thank you guys, see you next time.
I chose Delta Istanbul because I know the level of this brand based on my experience with many Delta Hotels in Canada and USA. Delta brand is just as luxury as Sheraton or Westin. Delta Istanbul is an exception! This hotel shouldn’t be branded as Delta. It looks like the building itself was originally designed for a 3 star hotel that they turned it into Delta. Too many negatives I faced during my 48 hours stay! Breakfast was poor with few local items, not the usual American breakfast you get at any Marriott. no waffles, no pancakes and not even croissants!! and when you ask them anything they blame everything on the pandemic! The club lounge was also closed. I couldn’t even have a good sleep one time because of the speakers in my room were left On while the staff were chatting maybe and another time with the noisy slamming doors. I put some pictures and you can see the narrow hallways and the type of metal doors they are using. Even the points of my Marriott membership haven’t been added yet. You need to track them on every single issue to get things done right. I’m sorry, this hotel is a disaster. I really regret staying here.…
