Lovely evening looking out over Istanbul from our hotel rooftop bar. Drinking martinis fantastically mixed to perfection but the friendly bar tender Mert Can. Thank you for looking after us. We are fussy about our Martinis and you made them to perfection
Stayed here for a week in a loft suite. Great location and friendly staff who always greets you with a smile. Special thanks to Halil at breakfast who offers great service and informative suggestions. Will stay here again if i visit Istanbul again.
Nicely located in the bustling area of Istanbul, next to the Galata port (also an outside shopping/restaurant center), that is also part of Karakoy. It's a new luxury hotel that is in a 180 year old building. It was amazing architecture inside. It is also right across the river from the old city where you the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are located. The hotel had construction going on around it but really isn't a bother. We stayed at the W Hotel (very old, run down and not the best service) after our stay at the JW - we wanted to come back to the JW. The JW hotel is much newer, nicer and more conveniently located. The JW has spectacular views of Istanbul from the top floor restaurant- where a plentiful daily breakfast is served. Nice rooftop as well, to enjoy evening drinks. Our initial room was small with little view but the Front Office Manager (Gohkan), who was very helpful and secured us an upgrade to a large suite for this stay. We were every grateful for it and will def be back. We were there for our 13 year anniversary and loved it.…
My fiancé and I stayed here for 4 nights and had the most wonderful experience. The amenities, the service, and the people were absolutely 5 stars. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a luxury stay in Istanbul!
My elderly father fell ill during our family vacation and the support from the staff was unparalleled. I was truly moved by the assistance and moreover general concern for his/our wellbeing during the stay. I could write about the wonderful location and beautiful building but do not want any of that to overshadow the respect and appreciation I have for the hotel employees (from the cleaners to the managers).
Personally, i think its the best hotel in Istanbul. Very welcoming, safe and clean. Staff very friendly and they talk english well. Highly recommend. Stayed for 4 nights, all were great. Would come back here again for my next visit. Meet Beyza in the breakfast buffet section, best staff in the hotel. Welcomed us every morning and made our stay better at JW marriott.
Amaing place for stay in Istanbul the breakfast fast amazing the staff in breakfast Dilek and Mehmet very helpful and friendly and very professional staff, the view of breakfast very wonderful place next time for sure i will be back to hotel but hopefully the construction on the building which is next to hotel will be done
I checked-in for a night at JW Marriott Bosphorus after a cruise. It is a boutique hotel in an old building which has entrances on both sides. The south entrance is accessible by cars and taxis. The north entrance is a pedestrian street with lots of restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. Location is great for exploring Galata Tower area and indeed that's what I did. They have rooms overlooking an inner atrium. I asked for a room facing outside and they supposedly upgraded me but I think I got the smallest room at the hotel. I could hardly walk from one side of the bed to the other because of the position of the TV. I could see the Galata Tower from my 4th floor window but the room was so small that it made more sense to be outside exploring. There is a rooftop lounge definitely worth visiting. Sweeping views of the Bosphorus and the city. Another thing I did which I strongly recommend is enjoying the Spa. It worked well for me because I was practically the only guest at the Spa and was treated like royalty by Spa Manager, Guney Polat. The Hammam experience is not to be missed! The spa prices are also quite reasonable for the type of hotel but this is Turkey where things like those are part of the culture and we should appreciate it. There is an elegant lady pianist at the lobby playing in the afternoons which gives an air of sofistication to the hotel. I would rank it higher if it wasn't for the tiny room, but hope if I plan another trip, I can get a normal sized room. I did enjoy the welcome amenity of 3 pieces of baklava that were waiting in the room with the name of the other guest that was supposed to be given that room! If you like baklava, the hotel is just a 2 blocks away from well known Karakoy Gulluoglu which is another Istanbul icon not to be missed!…
Hotel is located in Galata port which is so convenient to lovely restaurants and shopping. Unfortunately my check in was dealt with in a very unpleasant manner. I had prepaid my trip and when we arrived to check in there was no booking. After having to prove that I had a booking after 2 hours I was given my rooms. The rooms are tastefully decorated. For the room rate you would expect a turn down service but it’s not offered at this hotel. There are some wonderful staff that go out of their way to serve you namely Baksh, Sungur, Mert, Mevlut, Mehmet. All the staff who work at the entrance entrance of the hotel are so helpful. The Octo restaurant is wonderful. The roof top is wonderful with lovely vibes with beautiful views of the Bosphurus.
We recently got the chance to stay in this stunning hotel which made our stay perfect in every way. From the reception to the concierge to the F&B team everyone was nice, warm and welcoming. Would be highly recommending this Hotel to all my friends and acquaintances. Location is just the cherry on top.
