Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
Nestled in the heart of the city, Sheraton Istanbul City Center earns praise for its welcoming atmosphere and traditional decor, highlighted by its impeccably clean and beautifully appointed spaces. While some travelers find the rooms cozy and well-maintained, others note issues with size and soundproofing.
The hotel's extensive amenities, including a satisfying breakfast buffet and well-maintained pool, are frequently commended, although views on value for money are decidedly mixed. Guests often laud the friendly and professional service, and the central location with shuttle service to Taksim Square is a boon for many, despite some concerns about walkability.

We had a great experience and appreciated the friendly and helpful personnel as well as the cleanliness of the facilities. They really take care in maintaining a clean environment and sterilize surfaces regularly. I will definitely stay here again when I am next in Istanbul.

Excellent Staff, we had planned to stay longer (especially with the modern suite) they gave us, only reason to leave this location was to the distance of needing to be at, we move to their recommended sister property JW Marriott Istanbul Bosphorus once again great staff, beautiful hotel, but location area under construction that causes mass confusion for Uber drivers to get through.
No fault to the hotel. Hotel (JW) provided a beautiful executive standard room of water front view only issue a Port is being built so the crane construction puts a damper.
Hotel has arranged for a clinical staff to come to our hotel to give us the required PCR test needed at 45.00 euros vs at the airport it’s 35.00.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
Arrived directly from the airport and was impressed by the temperature check and they concierge sprayed with suitcase with disinfectant. Check in was good and the hotel asked me if I wanted daily housekeeping. The room was nicely appointed but u fortunately no tea/coffee making facilities.
Breakfast was average, nice to order omelettes but I think the hotel could offer some cold cuts to go with it. Serbia in breakfast was good. Unfortunately the hotel had closed its main restaurant on an evening and only snack available in the coffee shop.
The spa and indoor pool open but you had to make a timed reservation to use.
The main dissapoinmet was the temperature in the hotel it always seemed to be very hot to a point uncomfortable I'm not sure if this was a cost saving due to low occupancy or the air conditioning was not working
Due the the hotel temperature and the Not so nice local area I'm not sure that I would return

I chose this Sheraton for a group after a cruise and it worked well.
First, I was sort of provoked by a front desk staff when I asked about Bonvoy Points for the stay. He said it didn't apply to group rates. However, I had this confirmed by sales management. I showed the email to him, and he went on saying I needed to talk to them. That's not what a loyal customer expects upon checking-in. He should have been more complacent instead of causing an argument. Then, I spoke to another front desk staff, Onur, who apologized and said points would be awarded if it was agreed.
Since we arrived around 12:30pm some of the rooms were not ready but they made an effort to have them ready by 2pm. Seems this hotel gets lots of groups and the lobby had a constant flow of people most of the time.
The hotel is fairly new, in an 8-floor building. There are no decent views from any floor, since there is a demolished building at the back and there is a hill across the main street of the hotel with some old commercial buildings. Nothing special to see in those streets. They know that, so they provide a shuttle to Taksim every hour until 9pm which is convenient.
The rooms are fresh and well equipped. Comfortable beds and linens, ample bathrooms with all the amenities. Only thing I didn't like is the lack of dedicated space to put 2 pieces of luggage that was not considered by the interior designers. There is space for one bag and the other bag needs to be placed against the curtains.
The hotel lobby is well designed with several food and beverage outlets on both sides. There's a nice vibe at all these places and it is inviting to stay and consume inside.
Breakfast at the large Souk venue is very well stocked with lots of choices, however, it fell a bit short of my expectations for Istanbul because there were some flies over the fruits and this discouraged me from helping myself to other sweet items.
Overall a good choice for groups and business clients with a clean and efficient operation. It gave us the best price / value option in Istanbul during the peak summer season.

We stayed here for just one night for stopover. The hotel location is not that convenient but the 2-way complimentary shuttle service to Taksim on every hour saves the day.
The room is new, modern, nicely decorated & comfortable. Friendly staff especially Melek (check-in), Busra (check-out) & Burak (concierge/belldesk). Thank you so much guys for the Great service! Recommended & will be back!

I spent 8 nights here. Overall, it was a good experience, but there are numerous little details that detracted from it being a great stay.
The breakfast buffet was fine, but extremely monotonous. Literally nothing changed from one day to the next (and after 8 days, I would know). Also, a very small number of hot food options (pancakes, omelettes, & 2 other items). I'm hoping some of this was due to COVID19 limitations.
My king bed room was comfortable, although I needed to call to enable AC, as the thermostat refused to cool the room below 25C. Housekeeping took care of my room every 3 days, which was fine. However, there was a noticable lack of consistency. 0ne time I found the AC turned off, with the window open, for no reason. I never had any of my face cloths replaced. Rooms facing the road have poor soundproofing, with traffic noise very audible all the time (including at night).
The complimentary Taksim Square shuttle was a great perk. However, it had no fixed schedule, which made it impossible to plan around it. When I checked in I was told to give them 20 minutes notice, which would have been fine. But in reality, the wait time varied from as little as 5 minutes to as long as 35 minutes. One time, after waiting 30 minutes (when I was told 20), the driver appeared and informed me that he was going on his dinner break, and I would need to wait yet another 30 minutes. I eventually gave up on the shuttle, as it was not worth all the hassle, and walked to a nearby public bus stop instead/
The location is not great. Not unsafe, but there's nothing of interest within walking distance. Plus the sidewalk is mostly wishful thinking, so even if you want to go for a walk, you're often forced onto the side of a busy 4 lane road. As i noted above, there is a public bus stop about a 10 minute walk away, which is the only nearby public transport. Anything else is either a taxi or a 20+ minute walk away, up hill.
On my last day, i requested a late checkout, which they provided (thanks). However, apparently my new 3pm checkout time was not synced up with the security or housekeeping. My room key card stopped working at noon, and housekeeping was pounding on my door at 1pm, asking when I was leaving. Minor annoyances, but this should have been avoidable.
My bed was comfortable, the rain shower was awesome, and the wifi was fast & reliable. Not sure whether i will return, as there are numerous other options.

We spent four nights here. The hotel has a shuttle to Taksim Square which was useful since there wasn't really anything you would want right near the hotel. The hotel was super Covid and security conscious-- you had to go through a screening checkpoint and have your bags screened every time you entered. They also took your temperature and sprayed your hands with sanitizer. The breakfast was varied and good. They served you from a buffet. The bottom floor of the hotel had a really nice hammam, along with an indoor pool, sauna and steam room. We had a good and fairly priced massage there. The staff was really helpful and friendly.

This hotel is very close to Taksim street but can't say it's a walking distance and the neighborhood where the hotel is located has nothing special but the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle bus for those interested. The food spread was ok and rooms were clean but a little bit small (Maybe to my standards). The money value was great and the staff were friendly but sometimes overwhelmed due to the volume of guests they had.

When it comes to cleanness, this hotel is always my first choice. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and they are in a very good condition. The staffs are friendly, great and professional. They offer a complimentary shuttle service from the hotel to Taksim from 10am till 7pm. The only problem that this hotel has is that the shuttle service does not have a certain schedule, pickup location from Taksim. If you are looking for just a few days stay, you can take taxies, but for long stays, it is not possible to always take taxies. I suggest the hotel to increase the working hours of this service and offer a certain and exact schedule and pick up location from taksim.

The hotel was chosen by a coincidence - we bought the three night voucher at a charity event, therefore overpaying was intentional and for a good cause.
The location is good if you - as we - like to wander around the old city centre.
The hotel rooms don’t provide great views, but the service is really exceptional. Already when making the reservation, which was somewhat different with a handwritten voucher, staff responded kindly, an experience we felt throughout the visit. Reception, Concierge (with good recommendations!) Executive Club and breakfast, where Yusuf and his colleagues were most attentive and kind.
Can recommend this business hotel, with good location and excellent service.
