Why stay at the Radisson (next door) when you could stay here? The Terrace feels family run, everyone is so helpful. The breakfasts were very good as were the evening meals. The location is good, just a straight walk down to the waterfront where most of the activities are. My room, overlooking the swimming pool, was quiet and comfortable. Highly recommended.

I first stayed here in the 1970s when it was called Ang's Hotel and it is true the place hasn't changed much at all. There is little or no evidence of renovation and inevitably everything is rather drab. Why stay here ? The location is great for access to the centre of BSB, including Kampong Ayer and the departure jetty for tours to Temburong. The hotel staff were really friendly, making us feel welcome, and the breakfasts (Asian and European) were great. Just across the road is a large night food market specialising in fish dishes at very reasonable prices. The Terrace may be showing its age but offers clean rooms at a reasonable price. If you don't need luxury but appreciate friendly service give it a try.

The hotel's location was about 15-20 min walk from downtown but the bus is right outside and only takes 5 mins. It's a very old hotel but still offers a good night's sleep. Rooms are spacious, quiet and very clean. ( the hotel was barely occupied) The pool makes up for the very mediocre and dated restaurant. Staff are not overly friendly but will help you when needed.

Old-fashioned rooms, poor WiFi connection, scarce breakfast, terrible bed linen and dirty moquette make this hotel one of the worst choices in terms of quality-to-price ratio in Brunei Darussalam. If you wonder how a hotel looked like in the 1970s, you can go there. They have not changed anything, not even the bulb lamps or the TVs... Avoid it.

This hotel is old, has a distinctly musty smell and poor services. It is conveniently close to downtown. But there are more modern alternatives. It cannot even be argued that it is competitively priced.
