The hotel is one of the tallest buildings in Hue and has a fantastic location overlooking the river. We stayed Mar 16, 17 and 18. Our room was on the 12th floor and I can scarcely remember being 'wowed' by a room as much as this one. We paid extra for an 'Executive Junior Suite' which had three rooms. To the left was the bedroom with a large, very comfortable double bed and superb views. A corridor led to a living room with couches, chairs, a desk, kettle and another TV. There was also a very nice bathroom, a minibar, safe - everything you need. On the 16th floor is a rooftop restaurant and the breakfasts each morning were excellent. There is also a gym and pool on the 3rd floor. But we had lots of problems with our keycard. I finished my swim, dried myself off and got back in the lift to go back up to my room on the 12th floor. But my card wouldn't work and the lift doors had closed behind me. I tried everything to make the card work but it didn't. I had to resort to pressing the bell in the lift but despite trying five or six times, no-one came to help me. I was trapped. As a result I had to prise the doors of the lift open using my fingers, which wasn't easy. There was no-one else on the floor and I couldn't find an emergency exit staircase (I assume it was accessed via the restaurant which was locked). I tried shouting for help but again, no-one answered. Fortunately I was able to find a 'staff only' door that was unlocked and a small laundry lift to take me up to my room on the 12th floor. I got my card reset that evening but on the day I checked out our card failed again. I went for breakfast but when I got back to my room the card didn't work. It didn't work in the lift either, so I had to go down 12 flights of stairs to get my card reset again. This is a great hotel but the keycards need improving.

Room Tip: The Executive Junior Suites are very spacious and worth the slightly higher price.

We only stayed 2 nights and experienced a tour of the city, which we enjoyed, being picked up from and dropped back to our hotel. Everything was good in the room, and we had big windows with views of the city. The only negative was that the floor creaked when walking up and down! The view from the rooftop bar was excellent, and we enjoyed drinks up there both nights. We ate dinner in the restaurant one night, and enjoyed it very much.

We live in Vietnam and love the casinos for roulette. Sadly this one made a few mistakes. After asking the girl to cash us out she had no idea how and proceeded to touch buttons which added a $7 bet and depleted my total. When questioned on the error she looked blank and refused to communicate and would not get the manager. Two other girls said they do not speak English. At reception the girl acted like she spoke no english to avoid handling the error. The principle of the error is very upsetting, if it was a large amount they would do the same? Also the payouts on your winning numbers is not correct. We played two machines side by side and both won different amounts for the same bet on the same number. This seems very wrong. Not giving them proper training makes me wonder how many more errors occur. We will never return and also pass along the information to many. The town and people of Hue are extremely friendly and kind. Enjoy doing other activities and avoid the casino. others to not go there.
