Tamarind Village is a unique and charming boutique property that nestles in the heart of historic Chiang Mai. Surrounded by ancient temples and quaint shopping streets, it takes its name from a magnificent 200 year old tamarind tree that shelters the hotel in a shady embrace.Tamarind Village is situated at the center of Chiang Mai’s old town. Many of Chiang Mai’s historic landmarks and temples such as Thapae Gate, the Three Kings Monument, Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang are located within a few minutes walk of the hotel. Each week, Chiang Mai’s famous ‘Sunday Walking Street’ takes place just in front of the hotel’s entrance.

In a good position for exploring the town and night market. Nice small pool . Welcome complimentary massage was a nice touch. The room was charming but we could have done without the three roosters crowing all night. It was also difficult to prevent light coming in the room.

Great location, just right in the middle of Chiang Mai's city center. The hotel is boutique's hotel and quite small with a touch of antique style. Got a chance to met and talk to a few staff during our stay and met Tan and I was impressed of how friendly and informative he was,

My wife and I came to Chiang Mai after Bangkok and 8stayed for 4 nights. The hotel is full of charm and character and is in a great location to explore Chiang Mai. The room was cosy yet big enough for a short stay and the bed really comfortable. The only downside being the wake

We stayed at Tamarind Village as part of a wider tour of Thailand. The boutique hotel is charming but a little tired and in need of upgrading. Food in the restaurant is very good but we found service variable - sometimes excellent but also at times really lacking. Great location

I wanted to love this hotel but a couple of things let it down for us. Firstly I paid for a suite as we couldn’t get a deluxe room but it definitely wasn’t worth the money. We were literally next door to a yard of barking dogs and cockerels that went off all night. There was

Hi Are there irons available at this hotel?
I did not require one so I can't answer. I can tell you that it was so humid that nothing was very wrinkled after hanging in the closet for a day :) Sorry I can't be of more help!

Not really sure about first question. I would say the basic Lana rooms are on ground floor. Upper floor has bigger rooms. Probably the best check with hotel. There is a plenty of rooms fair away from the reception. To be honest we had a room just on a back of reception (basically small desk, 2 people there, nothing fancy, nothing loud), and it was completely quiet. Didn't see any gym close to hotel. But there is a few big hotel near by so they should have it. Anna

"Avoid the Ground Floor, especially behind reception."
"More tranquil the further you are from the reception area"
"Rooms on the second floor give more privacy. One with a balcony is very nice"
