We just stayed here for 3 nights over the new year's weekend. It's a small family run place and they go out of their way to make sure you're welcome and know about all sorts of sights, activities and places to eat in the area. The room was spacious and comfortable. The shower is a little tricky because you're likely to get the whole bathroom wet in the process. Not too much of a problem, though. There's a nice cafe just around the corner and plenty of delicious food street vendors at night just down the street. All in all, a fantastic villa in Chiang Mai.
My wife and I had a great 5-night stay at Villa Korbhun Khinbua. It's close enough to walk to the city center while offering more local fare the other direction. The rooms are huge and well-maintained. Our only complaint is that the shower didn't have a curtain or door on it, so it was difficult to shower without getting everything wet. Other than that, the bed was comfortable (very firm), the proprietors were FANTASTIC at helping us book cooking classes and other activities for a discount, and the owners were very friendly to boot.
Villa Khorbhun Khinbua is a traditional Lana style residential stay with incredible rooms offering all modern appliances including a terrace for relaxing with a cold beer. The rooms are very spacious, offering twin bed configuration, a big flat screen tv and a twin shower system. We found this place whilst looking for somewhere to stay for a month whilst attending a course at ITM and were surprised at what they were offering for the same cost of staying in one of the other hotels which were no where near the same standard as Villa Khorbhun Khinbua, as the other hotels werent clean and had hidden charges. We had peace of mind with these guys as they offered an all inclusive price including breakfast for a bargain with no hidden surprises. We finally stayed 30 days and had a great, peaceful and relaxing time, which we needed especially studying a month of intensive thai massage with ITM. The residence has more to offer than meets the eye, for example, customer service is a 10/10 with a family run business, the owners go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay, offering free bike use, and other services including scooter hire. The family are incredibly friendly and have more to offer especially when it comes to local advice, telling us all of the hidden gems around the area, especially my love for Pad Thai and Tom Yum. The family also speak English and the father speaks Japanese, which is an added bonus. There are many places around the villa to eat, especially Flips and Flips donouts, which is just around the corner, Tanning street market to try an abundance of thai street foods and buy local fruits and veggies, and a variety of vegetarian street restaurants. If your in Chiang Mai short or long term then I fully recommend this place as you have a great experience of living with the locals. If your looking for a Thai massage school then look no further than ITM. Recommendation Just book your room and enjoy a very local stay with a fantastic family run business. The owners and their daughter are incredible and make you feel so welcome and part of the family which is an experience not to miss whilst in Chiang Mai. …
